Great tips for Fifa 19. One little thing that you mentioned was the manual passing by pressing LB & RB then A if you have your controller setting set to assisted. I could be wrong, can you not do the same trick on Lob Passing, by pressing the same controls but pressing the lob button? (LB & RB then X)

Driven long passes were in the game ever since Fifa 12, mate. And I always use assisted passes but manual through passes. Because no matter what you do, the CPU doesn't always do a good job of passing behind the defensive lines with correct weight.
