Diana was born in May 2003 in the Far East of Russia. (Height: 1,70 m/ 5,7” ) She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had many pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she abused the child and tried to drown it. One day this 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage.
There she finally found love ... by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist who treated the children from the children's home. Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared, but she could sing all the songs from cartoons. A doctor recommended singing lessons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started …
Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D7) and her voice sometimes has polyphonic overtones. Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions.
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition, especially for adopted and orphaned children, called: "You are Super!".
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to RUclips and soon she had millions of fans. She is our goosebumps queen.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier than it is 'normal'. That alone shows how smart and hardworking she is.
She applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts. great reaction to a fantastic artist. my only problem was that the video was very distracting with all that additional nonsense. I much prefer the version with her performing at the singing competition.
The Uncle Gij & Friends Show, Hi, at the link below you will find an original video(No 7)(the video you watched was done by a FAN due to the Boycotting of Russia) and it was in 2019 when Diana was 15yo. She was on the Voice Kids in 2017 at 13yo but no one turned and it caused an uproar(video difficult to find now), it had more than 20Million views and 10 minutes was cut from video as the people kept on clapping for about 10 minutes, and it was for THAT applause she cried at the back of the stage after show.
In the next year 2018 she partook in the show 'You are Super' for children with parental problems(See her Wikipedia). In this show they sing 3 songs, the first and second song is judged by judges and 3rd song is final and winner is chosen by the viewers.
She sang No 1, No 3 and No 4 in the link below(No2 was later in year at different venue in Kremlin - repeat of No 1), BUT the No 5 song was an extra just for that specific year - all finalists sang an extra song which did not count in the scoring(many people comment that that was her winning song - NO it was 'Rechenka' No 4(her 3rd song).
In 2019 she took part again and sang songs No 6 No 7 and No 8. (7 being Wicked Game)

Diana is a contralto, lowest form of the female voice, and she is polyphonic, sings several different notes at the same time, sounding as if there are multiple people singing.
