My female parrot mated with her son ( she had him when my male parrot was still alive ) and laid 3 eggs. One hatched and there was a baby. After 19 days ( today ) it died and it wasn't even fully grown as yours, seems like it was starting to gain a bit of colour on its beak and yesterday, first sign of nails, my female always warmed it and it seems to be getting food. I think the reason for death is becuz she mated with her son and the baby was having issues. Let me know your thoughts please. Thank you.
Generally birds get weak bloodline after multiple in Breedings (parent from same Grand parents) As u Told, may be, there could be An other reason. There are multiple reasons of Chicks death at initial stages like less temperature, too much cold outside etc
Its the same with humans, you can but its not advisable to mate from same bloodline or genes. The offapings are weak and sometimes, if unlucky, there will be deformities
