I was lucky enough to see The Walker Brothers perform live at Tooting in the1960's. I will always hold the momory of Scott's beautiful voice flooding the theatre to a silent audience all filled with wonder at the supremity of his very presence and lost in the sound of his song.

Even his speaking voice was beautiful. He could recite the phone book to me and I'd be a purring puddle of goo

I used to think that if Scott can still sing like this if I won the lottery I would pay him half a million to sing Best of Both Worlds just for me.

I listened to this for the first time at 4am a couple nights ago and started sobbing. I can't believe Scott is gone. I would've done anything to hear him live, right here in 1969.

No one can sing a ballad like Scott. I just wish he would give us all a treat & record another album in this vain if he can still sing. I am still suffering withdrawal symptoms since the 70s.x

The majority of people my age had parents whose record collection consisted of The Beatles or The Stones or maybe some other run of the mill popular music from the 60's and early 70's. I grew up hearing Scott Walker nearly every day and I can't help but think it coloured my view of things somewhat : ) And I wouldn't have it any other way.

The extraordinary thing about Scott was the self-assured and mature use of his beautiful voice when contrasted with his young age. He was only 26 when he performed this song and 21/22 when he began with the Walker Brothers. I don't think we have ever experienced anything quite like his wonderful talent since

I was just listening to the song sung by Johnny Mathis. If your math is fan just go and listen to the version by Johnny Mathis. I’m not saying this version isn’t beautiful, but the one by Johnny Mathis to me is more beautiful and more sensitive.
