Mower medic I’m in small engine class, I learn so much from you!!! I’m a Medically retired Paramedic and decided to go back to school and I’ve always messed with mowers so I when back to class for it!! So thanks for your channel
Thanks for videos! I have a 2001 ezgo and am a retired industrial arts teacher. I like to work on my cart! Just replaces spring bushings thanks to your video! Thank you!!
I built EZGO hunting carts for years plus custom built regular golf carts used on courses and I was astonishing at time to see how much damage could be done to these carts. I have seen many DS Club Cars with the front frame rails broke on them from abuse too.
Before taking it off, I noticed my ezego txt has only about 1/8th inch clearance between the knuckle and the frame. No way that knuckle will go back in with the grease fitting on it. I didn't drill mine out for that fact. Might have worked if they predrilled the hole toward the front instead of out the side. I packed the knuckles full of grease and reassembled them after a heavy duty cleaning. It looked like I caught them just in time.
Got a question but first an observation: Getting the most you can out of a machine, testing its limits, is understandable....but that's outright abuse and it's unconscionable, especially if the abuse isn't going to get repaired by the abuser. But oh well, if it wasn't for customer abuse you'd probably be a lot lonelier in the shop LOL. Now to my question.... Got an EZ-Go that I'm converting to Predator 212 gas power. It was one of a few donors for a pontoon boat conversion to battery operated stern paddler. A lot of the steering parts are missing, as they were used to put together the rudder controls on the paddleboat. Now for my question: The drag link--tie rod assembly--whatever it's called: Does it go in nuts-on-top? Looks like it from a few vids where I've seen it in passing but thought I'd ask.
I had more then a few come through my shop, but one in particular stands out, he calls me, and tells me something is wrong with his machine, a brand new scrub cadet top of the line garden tractor, I tell him well drop it off today and I'll take a look at it, unbeknownst to me he dropped it off at my shop one night, after my shop is closed, ok I have state of the art cameras outside, and all around my shop, so back to the story, he drops it off, and leaves, next morning I come out of my house, and see the twisted front end on his tractor, how the hell he twisted it I haven't a clue, but I call him to ask what happen, he tries to pull the, it was fine when I dropped it off, that I must of messed it up, well I call the police, and show them the footage of him dropping it off, and you can see in the 4k video it's messed up when he dropped it off, so long story short, if you own your own shop, get good outside cameras, it will save you a ton of money, people just beat the crap out of their stuff, and expect you to fix it or pay for it yourself, just protect yourself.
Being a mechanic in the equipment rental industry, I see this abuse every day. From generators being thrown by contractors in mud holes to street sweepers coming back with the brushes just about ripped off. It's horrible..
Just like with lawnmower spindles, the grease is useless. On lawnmower spindles the grease doesn't reach the bearings so it just sits there doing nothing. On these golf cart spindles the grease just sits between the cast iron spindles and sleeve doing nothing. It's not greasing the bushings or the main kingpin bolt.
Mr fountain. I've worked in car garages. For over. 30. Yrs. The one excuse. I sometimes. Hear when the brakes are. Metal to metal. Is. It started. Making noise. Yesterday. I wonder if. Our. Society. Is getting. Lazy..
What an idiot they should take the cart away from him and make him walk from now on..I think they don't care about the equipment they don't own it they don't have to pay to fix it or replace it so they don't care. Its sad but I'M afraid its true.
Sounds like that guy was drunk, hopefully if it was a country clubs golf cart they revoke his membership Driving a golf cart up and down the stairs He could’ve hurt himself or others

THEMOWERMEDIC1 Good golly! The only explanation is if alcohol was involved. Otherwise, someone must have been PO’d at management.
