In his defense, writers talk about what they know if what he knows the most about was the US then that would dominate the majority of the content. CERN was included in the video and I'm pretty sure there were other international events included.

I love how your story/dream of 2012 is about all the important things: love, tragedy, hope, fear, knowledge of humans and humanity. Of course you have an american viewpoint, using Obamas speeches, but you touch many issues important to the whole world.
It's not important, that NASA is an american corporation, but that this great rover is on Mars. It's not important that Obama is american, but that we all are sad about the dead children. It's not important where CERN is, but what they disovered.

After a year of making vlogs, the nerdwriter seems to be stuck in a rut, in which sounding deep and intellectual no longer seems deep and intellectual, rather a weekly recreation of the novel power found in his earliest videos. Fortunately, change is always occurring, so it's just a matter of time before the nerdwriter finds a new stream to explore and stops relying on pop Obama culture for political cover.
