AI Helps Me Design A Building | Iterative 3D Modeling in SketchUp Live!

- Sure, generative AI is cool for creating images, but you don’t use it for design ideation, right? …right?
Aaron does! And he needs your help.
This time on SketchUp Live, he’s iterating on a building design using SketchUp Diffusion and YOUR input.
He starts with a simple massing model, but your comments will steer the prompts. He then pulls elements from the Gen AI image to model in 3D. Then, it’s time for a new prompt and another round of iteration. Rinse and repeat!
Aaron, for one, welcomes our new robot overlords and uses them to unleash his creativity!
How will it end up? No-one knows! But tune in and lend your voice to the AI/human hybrid building.

I was at the AIA National Conference. Had a nice chat with Sumele, Sandra, and Gopal! Looking forward to using the new and future features. Thanks for keeping up the development of my favorite modeling software!
My first thoughts when i saw the title, i thought sketchup finally figured out generating geometry using AI 😅
Yeah. I don’t need no stinkin’ diffusion.
Should move the garage door to the side of the house, and make it double doors. Then you won't see them from the front of the house.
Only watched 5 mins in snippets. It looked arduous. The design process in one's head evolves minute to minute. In a way one draws then gives oneself prompts as to where to go next constantly. AI feels so crude compared with that. And it looks like it introduces a constant fight between it and one's natural inclinations. It is good at iteration where that's appropriate but who wants the same again, again? again.
MUITO BOM
I say this as a fan of SketchUp and your tutorials: Please consider less banter and more modeling. It’s wonderful that you all have a collegial workplace. But the actual work in SketchUp is only about 1/4 of this video. You would reach more people if the video was shorter.
Thanks for the feedback! Our Friday live modeling sessions are intended for a place for our users to connect with us and eachother while we offer a little bit of "edutainment" in a live setting. If you prefer more direct, to the point videos, check out the rest of our channel We put out a shorter learngin video twice per week resulting in hundreds of concise learnign videos for you to peruse!
@@SketchUp keep up the great work! I'll stay tuned
