Haha, adding a step in the middle of the sequence is big reason why I made the extension. I used to use scenes or tags and reordering meant you hade to change all subsequent steps :S . Now you just type the new number.
Btw, if you get tired of typing 1, 2, 3 etc, you can type 99 on every item and they will be added to the end of the sequence (or 999 if you have more than 100 steps). Just go through the pieces in the right order.

Thanks, Christina! Love to learn something new! Even in the comments of a learning video!

This is great. What I would like to see is that it also can be exported to a mp4 which is what I usually do using scenes. That way I can send the mp4 to a client.

Any chance of an MP4 export or, more useful perhaps jpg export of all the steps that I could email? Would save having to go to the customer's home or the maker's shop, with my laptop and Sketchup running, every time they wish to review something.

@@richardhaas1989 I've been thinking of a more generalized Scene generation functionality that could then be used either to export images, animations or reference in LayOut. Got too many projects to do it ow though 😩

Love your videos and you make sketchup so straight forward on topics I've been struggling with. But I must say I bit the bullet and bought a space mouse from 3dConnexion and WOW, what a difference, the smooth scrolling and zoom in is so so nice. a little costly but wow what a product. I didn't even know it existed until watching your videos. Thanks for all you do

Fantastic! Perhaps in the future this extension can include setting the steps together with dif scenes so they act as keyframes to export an animation while the steps are played out.

Thank you Aaron, I can see this being very useful for progressive construction drawings. Christina Eneroth is such a talented Architect, and geek (her word). I use her Solid Tools, Flatten to Plane and Material Area Counter plugins almost every time I use Sketchup.

Can this also show a movement of a piece? Ie: step3 lift component A - step 4 place component B - step 5 lower component A.

Thanks. This looks great. I have a project that could use this. I'm going to colour code the sequence / groups too.
I preferred the grouped construction with broad steps. If you are trying to explain to a contractor how you assume a structure will be built then less is more. The granular steps with every component in order is too much like telling someone how to do their job. Please don't tell your contractor how to do their job.
