@Slavic Affairs - Looking back as a child (Irish/German) and 1/3rd of my neighborhood were Poles, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Serbs, and others who fled Yugoslavia and none of us have any of our culture or language. We're just called *WHITE* and I started correcting those with more "melanin" (sometimes resoundingly) that I am European-American. I urge all to do this because I am watching Slavs butcher their brothers. I was 18 when the Berlin wall fall and was 20 when the USSR fell. I had such high hopes as did so many flying the flags of Poland, Ukraine, and Serbia amongst others. If it were not for family commitment I would be in Ukraine volunteering as a Nurse. The music makes me think of better times and hope for the future. Slavic peoples are of one blood, one people. We must know peace or we shall become a footnote in history.
