You need software in your ipad if it's up to date..pay pay pay ...laptop will give you much more flexibility. Cheaper too with a aid for software package. Or use an irig for your apple if you're doing live stuff..endless options. Cable in saves Bluetooth suddenly going off
I'm looking for something just like this, nice and compact, but with prefade on the channels, so it can be used for broadcast work. Anyone recommend anything?
I've just bought one for vocal tracks. I've plugged an empty USB stick in it. I thought that it would take me to a recording menu, but it hasn't. Literally clueless to this thing a minute. I've put the music on the USB and plugged it into the mix master and I'm no closer to recording. Please help brother!
Hi, I've purchased the XS10 with a set of 3 active speakers and I'm now learning that I may not be able to use them together? Is it powered? I'm confused and I can't find any clear information 😕
Ok sounds like you have too much delay and not enough dry sound. Try without any effects. The mixer is totally analogue except for effects and media player so there can’t be any delay if you take all the effects off.
Love your vids have you done one on the Soundlab Studiomaster club 2000 102 Mixer as l have looked everywhere and i am a complete novice and have no clue how to use it ,and its as good as new any help please i dont mind if i have to buy one but cant find a single one Brian

It’s all analogue with a music player added on. It sounds good, but the effects are not in the ultimate studio sounding league of the ones you mention but (1) available and (2) less expensive.
@@HWAudioLtd thanks for the quick reply. The recording was just a backing track on one channel and a vocal mic on another. It was only for a quick listen back and nothing for further use. But the skipping was really bad.
Hi Richard , I hope you can help , I also have a version 10 and when I record straight to USB stick the playback is just super quiet , am I missing a setting or something to record at normal level, it's so quiet can only.faintly hear it , even with my speaker settings on highest level at playback. Have you encountered this and do you have any advice , would be much appreciated as that's why I bought it , just for straight to USB record ?? Thanks Daniel
I think that isn't really designed to do that. We sell a Presonus desk (the Studiolive) which does what you want, but the USB on the Studiomaster is really only for playback as the video points out.
Thanks Richard , yes you do point that out , so I'm a bit of a layman would I just record into a sound card and then my laptop to get a decent recording ?
@PJ I just followed the manual, I recorded onto a sandisk USB stick and played back on my laptop in media player, it worked but sound was virtually non existent so quite useless to be fair, I haven't played anything through the mixer so dont know how sound playback is , , justvrecorded through it
Hi Adrian , Without additional equipment no.. You could use an Audio interface from the output (either main mix or control room) and send that to an external Audio interface . We like the PreSonus range of interfaces they start at around £90 . We also stock the full Yamaha range of mixers that do include a true USB interface to record to a computer
Hi Thank you Richard! Just found out that we have a focusrite Scarlett solo laying around would this work as an audio interface to use with the studio master? To then plug into a laptop?
This is not Studiomaster, the British brand, there is no connection whatsoever, nice try though. This is just the Studiomaster name attached to a cheap Chinese product, in order to suggest it is actually a quality product.
There are many people from the old Studiomaster company that still work for the new Studiomaster company. In addition many of the designs are of UK origin.
Hi Richard , I was just on the fone to you , about my mp3, I found a button to press on the left , it works fine , thanks for your time , daniel
Looks interesting. But only 50dB of gain for the Mic channel. Isn't that a bit low for most microphones?
No, about 35db is adequate.
we all want 3 or 4 pre fade aux...why wont they produce one at reasonable cost??
Is Studiomaster Club XS10 pre-amplified?
Hi. How well does the Bluetooth work on this. I’m looking for a mixer to use my iPad with for backing tracks and to connect with Bluetooth.

I’m very much interested in purchasing this. Where do you input cable for on stage monitor on this please?

Of course you can use them together. Contact the dealer you bought them from and they will show you how!

Can I plug a laptop using DJ software?

hi how do you connect to the computer
Hi there, does any of these models handle multitrack recording via usb to DAW by any chance?
No, you would need something like a Presonus Studiolive for that.
Try the Soundcraft MTK series

It’s quite a basic recorder it seems, and is not designed for high quality recording.
