      There are many exercises for stroke survivors. On the Utah Neuro Rehabilitation RUclips channel there are several videos of stroke. Also, could you see a physical and occupational therapist? They can give you specific exercises for you.

    Please reply my 8 years old has down syndrome she did physiotherapy from 2years old until she was 5years old but now i have to start all over again because the doctors said her core is very weak and it affect the way she walks and causez her instep to curve in what excerises can really help or do.i need her to.see a bone specialist? I live in jamaica she only see a physiotherapist once per month

    • @UtahNeuroRehabilitation
      @UtahNeuroRehabilitation  4 года назад

      If her instep in her feet is curving, supramalleolar orthotics (braces) can really help. There is picture on this site: www.delatorreop.com/product/afo-pediatric-smo-supramalleolar-orthosis-dafo-style/
      A physical therapist can help you get these.

      Each child is different. So I cannot say which is best for your son. A therapist who sees him could help. In general I prefer specific core strengthening exercises over both of these techniques. These techniques can be integrated into a strengthening program.

    Hi, I have 1 doubt. I have 1 child who is 4yr old. He is an ataxic CP.from last 4month he is taking OT. Before they didn't take any therapy. So I want to know is there any chance for improvement of that much balance and core strengthening?????

    • @UtahNeuroRehabilitation
      @UtahNeuroRehabilitation  5 лет назад

      Age 4 is not too late to improve. We can improve at any age. He is still very young. Absolutely work on balance and strength. The therapists should be able to guide you. Daily practice is really important. I have another video on the Utah Neuro Rehabilitation channel on daily practice.

      Can you do a video session with a physical therapist? You could get some specific suggestions. It is helpful to work each day on standing and doing sit to stand with support.
