That itself u will lose quite abit. I have a friend who bought forest city at 1.2 million. Now worthless. Malaysian property = high risk Low return. If u think as a singaporean.
Even for own stay as retirement, Singaporeans will highly likely run into visa issue as the Malaysia immigration may place you on a blacklist if your stay is too long & frequent beyond the reasonable stay for the 30 days visa as deemed fit by them. If you fulfil the stringent requirements for MM2H, I don't think you will want to stay in Malaysia

Own a property in Malaysia does not grant you a PR or citizenship. If you apply SMM2H type retire do not require applicant to buy property. New version west MM2H not sure (I think no need also)but old version also do not require to buy property.
Investment type of visa only entitle for PR(if I am not mistaken) but no citizenship. Authority of MM2h do not consider how many property the applicant own as long meet the requirements.
It is almost impossible to get Malaysia citizenship or permanent resident, unless your spouse is a Malaysian which I don't think you will even consider MM2H.

你们有想过对岸新加坡为什么控制房产这么严格吗?只有新加坡人和PR 比较容易入场,外国人直接60%印花税。新加坡有考量过原因是要为本国人房产保值。如果外国人随随便便就可以买,得益只有发展商和银行。到时你们要出租房子和以后你要卖房子,市场就一大堆房产,over supply 本地房产就会贬值,本地人收租金,简直滥价。
