Yes gray actually pains me now. Stick with the natural woods and colours like you have doesn't date as quick. U can still incorporate some of your gray pieces but the major things like walls floors and curtains etc are far nicer done in the neutral natural tones

We deal with floor moisture issues in our house too (so do a lot of our neighbors). One of the neighbors was told that all of our houses should be at least a foot higher. 😑
I love a good gray house, my room is a light gray with a little darker (about 2 shades darker) gray trim, they almost have a hint of purple to them. I love them!!

I love grey, my house 4 years is grey walled, half your luck my floors got layed vyinal floor planks and they have gaps in the whole house and have faded and now possibly need to all bit ripped up and replaced, shattered and so dreading moving everything so it can be done in a basicly brand new house sucks

Looks great. The only thing I would do is put hardware on my cabinets…especially being white. They just look like standard floor model cabinets and adding hardware elevates them so much! x

Honestly when it comes to renovations, who cares what’s “in” or “out”. It’s YOUR home. Don’t relent to other people’s tastes. There’s this weird consensus that you should keep your home cookie cutter to be able to sell in the future…. Except that it’s your home, not the next person’s. They can paint it if they want.
Why don’t you guys just make a second floor on the garage & give them that with a porch overtop of the rest of the garage? (If she doesn’t want the full space on top) That way you don’t have to go through all the concrete & trying to add electrical & plumbing through that, & have the space to put more in the garage, plus big garages are sought out by many people looking for homes & on this huge land would be beneficial if you ever decided to sell. Only having half the garage doesn’t leave much room for additional vehicles (when the kids get their own or you guys get more), any tractor-like or other mobile equipment.

Just a tip Jess, when I moved we used colored tape instead of stickers because I feel like those little stickers might fall off during the move.

I would’ve kept the wood burning fire place much cheaper to warm the house and if crap goes down and electric doesn’t work you can get wood

Put packing tape over at least one sticker because I PROMISE YOU, The stickers will fall off during moving. We did that and it kept the stickers on.

A good wood stove is a blessing during power outages. Able to cook a meal on the stove. Also heat the house with no power or give the furnace a break.

A wood burning fireplace is the best, especially when your lights go out due to the weather. I have 1, and I am not planning on letting it go.
We just put flooring in and we had the exact same issue our floor was very uneven!!
