- SCP 2295 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as THE BEAR WITH A HEART OF PATCHWORK.
SCP-2295 is a patchwork stuffed bear, approximately 0.46m from 'head' to 'foot,' and stuffed with synthetic fiber and cotton. SCP 2295 has a small, anatomically correct pin of a heart on the left side of its thorax, and a bow wrapped around its neck.
SCP2295 enters an active state when within two (2) meters of a human sustaining major trauma to an organ. When in the proximity of two or more possible subjects, SCP-2295 will invariably choose the youngest subject. SCP-2295 will anomalously produce scissors, white thread, and either sewing needles or a crocheting hook from its mouth and use any fabric and stuffing in close proximity1 to fashion an instance of SCP-2295-1, a patchwork imitation of the subject's organ2. SCP-2295-1 vanishes from sight and the subject falls into a state of unconsciousness. SCP-2295-1 instances then replace the subject's damaged organ via anomalous means. The whereabouts of organs replaced this way are undetermined.

9:04 gonna be honest. Tried real hard to not cry. Right there was the breaking point. That D Class had probably the best passing any D Class could have had there. Hurts the bear couldnt help and truly wanted to but at least he died with a loving heart beside him

The human brain is the one organ we can't seem to just replace, so it makes sense it's the one organ SCP-2295 couldn't replace either.
These SCPs are my favorite. The ones that exist purely to help and bring joy and healing. SCP 2295 is a wonderful bear and I'm grateful to whoever made him :)

New Headcanon: The grandmother is indeed the mother of Dr. Wondertainment. While Dr. W. however, creates toys that range from weird to deadly, the Grandmother created toys that are wonderful and heartwarming.
The secret/skill of creating magical toys (basically) runs in the family, but Dr. W. decided to abuse it for...reasons. Or he just sucks at making them.
This bear is so wholesome but honestly I would also heal younger people first cause they haven’t experienced as many years as the older people
Kairos is a good boi. I wish this guy was real, along with 999 and 085. He can heal almost any major organ injury aside from brain damage, even using its own self to help. And even then, if it can’t heal you, it’ll offer you a choco bar and cry for you while hugging you in your last moments.
2295 is the best physical healer, and 999 is the best mental healer. Those two should be besties.
If it was real, the Pharma Industry would have it locked away. Cant have something out there that heals for free where they could sell expensive drugs forever.

What if they cross tested Kairos the Bear with SCP 5094, the perfect digital teacher, with a patient with a serious brain condition that will die in more then 2 days, with a surplus of fibers even of the thinnest imaginable.
(When Kairos is active around a patient he doesn't know how to cure, he is a thinking creature thinking desperately how to cure the patient. This shows he is not an automatic healing machine. He can also be sad, so he is capable of empathy. While he is alone, he is lifeless bear, but near a patient its a different story. He is a thinking and empathetic being deep down, meaning he can be taught.)
Before the bear starts crying, an SCP researcher then comes in, along with thread before the teddy bear starts crying and turns on a monitor with SCP 5094 on the screen, asking to give the bear a course of all dynamics of the brain and all known successful brain procedures. Ms J has a nigh supernatural charisma and teaching ability, and would likely be able to teach even a distraught healing bear who doesn't communicate much even when alive.
5094 can teach stuff that was learned past its creation but can't teach stuff from the future, i.e. it can't produce miracle information from thin air, but all modern knowledge of the subject of successful brain surgeries combined with Kairos' miracle powers, the bear might be powerful enough to cure nearly anything.

One of my favorite parts of this video was not knowing whether the SCP in question was good or evil, and discovering which only when the SCP researchers did. That sense of mystery made the story that much more engaging!

I think it’s so sad when SCP-2295 couldn’t save the D class is because it could heal nearly anyone’s ailment and was willing to tear itself apart to get them better. The thought of it not being able to do anything to save the D-Class despite it doing everything it could. The only thing it could think of was to comfort the D class and make them feel better psychologically by giving them a chocolate bar. When that failed it had admitted defeat because it couldn’t do the very thing it was made for and that’s why it made 2295 cry (and us)

Not gonna lie based on the SCPF's treatment of some other friendly and helpful SCPs with very strange and unexplainable abilities, I was waiting for the part where researchers try cutting 2295 open to learn how it works only for it to turn into some murder bear that replaces healthy organs with damaged/inoperational ones. Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised.
Also I felt for that bear hard when it couldn't make a brain. The little guy just wants to make people feel better and it got a couple tears out of me

Something alot of people don't know about the SCP foundation, is that in the case that you DO find them, you can volunteer for D-class employment, with a guarantee of release on completion of 3 months of employment. Or more specifically, survival of 3 months. With the caveat of class B amnestics to wipe your time there, but it would pay VERY well

Even the most prolific of miracle workers have their limits. I can respect such a kind bear doing everything it can, but frustrated with doing everything except the brain. It wants to help the vulnerable, but it isn't able to solve everything. Only do what it can. That's another beneficial SCP covered, folks

That's actually a nice and possible theory.
We can imagine that, due to the different craft styles, the creators of 1048 and 2295 are two different individuals. However, the technique used to animate them may very well be connected! Perhaps two different individuals who discovered the same practice, or learned about it via a practice passed down a long lineage. I wish I could provide a little more to this theory outside of the difference in style, such as how SCP-1048 was first obtained, but it seems that information was withheld, or someone neglected to include it in the file!
