We use to go to Manny’s in the 60s (our band was broke and we were young). We dreamt about owning the White Falcon in the window at $650 or so but next to it was a guitar that was more expensive than most cars. A John D’Angelico New Yorker at $3000. “The Stradivari of guitars) . One day Jimmy Hendrix was in Manny’s when John D was there and said “ John when are you going to make me a guitar” and D’Angelico responded “When you learn how to play” ( Obviously referring to his abuse of guitars ). It’s supposedly a true story but who knows! Thanks for the great vid and memories of Manny’s !

Always love seeing these unknown "gems" played. I've loved this one for a long time.

In the film Charlie’s my Darling, it shows them writing this and Keith has a capo on the second fret. But that might not be how the final was done. I’m gonna go with James on this one, he always gets it right. Thanks for the 1000 videos and all the old ones too.

I always loved Brian’s lead on this. That man could make great melodies that’s for sure. 2000 Man is another where he outshines the rest of his band mates.

"Some of the sick things that a girl does to a man" ......... A fine, highly underratted Stones song. One that is never, repeat never, heard on the radio. The brainwashing continues with the same old tired songs that the radio does play.

JUST TWO QUICK POSTS TODAY BEFORE I BOOK. KEEP COMING BACK TO THE STONES AND JAMES JAMES EXCELLENT GUITAR LESSONS. HE REALLY SHINES LIGHT ON KEITH AND BRIAN"S TALENT.
A treat today. BOTH of them on the great overlooked song Sitting on a Fence. It was the last song on Flowers album and what a song it is. Some of the most aware lyrics the Stones ever wrote. The first stanza " But there is one thing I could never understand some of the sick things a girl does to a man" is a bit misogynistic (it could easily be reversed) but the last two stanzas are dead on, IMO of course.
    First up is Keith's part.
Since i was young i've been very hard to please
And i don't know wrong from right
But there is one thing i could never understand
Some of the sick things that a girl does to a man, so
I'm just sittin' on a fence, you can say I got no sense
Trying to make up my mind really is too horrifying
So i'm sittin on a fence
All of my friends at school grew up and settled down
And they mortgaged up their lives
One things not said too much, but I think it's true
They just get married cause there's nothing else to do, so
    CHORUS
The day can come when you get old and sick and tired of life
    You just never realize
Maybe the choice you made wasn't really right
But you go out and you don't come back at night, so
    CHORUS

I might guess Keith played it with a capo on 1 fret and transposed everything to step lower, considering those "I've Just Seen A Face" fills in the beginning are quite natural when you play a C chord.

Wait is the e string the only one that's tuned down a half step or is it all of the strings?

By the way. I'm in the camp that thinks you should sing more. You sound good man. Trust me.
