I wouldn't define her voice as angelic. Instead I would define it as the voice of someone who has reached the light through darkness. During normal daily life it is necessary to dive deep into darkness to reach the soul. It's not something that's just underneath the surface. Or at least for an average human being, because it's easy to confuse emotions with soul.

i never usually like female vocalists, ive never been able to find out why, but this band makes me question if its because female vocals often represent something comforting and hopeful, something im unconsciously unfamiliar with. but her voice. her voice is different. what a gorgeous embodiment of utter sorrow, loss, and hopelessness. one of the only bands i stick around for solely because of these vocals.

This song puts me in a mood where half of me feels sadness for the feeling it transmits along the song while the other half feels so well and at ease with the melody, pace and her voice that makes me smile from satisfaciton of knowing such gem, a bipolar emotional rollercoast this song for me, and I love a song that gives me this mix of feelings.

Just discovered this band and I'm so sad to hear about the singer's death. My dad also died of cancer at a young age. Both taken much too soon! But at least Aleah lives on through her beautiful voice and music.
