Merc Rogue Not necessarily. A lot of the local boys likes Shelby Miles, Mike Spatola etc have just as much motor. The biggest reason he doesn’t really compete in Lucas races and WOO raves is he’s simply not the driver most of those guys are, and he’s in a Rayburn car. Most of those national tour guys are in XR1s and Longhorns and Bloomers etc. Rayburn just doesn’t have the support or knowledge those other guys have. Rustys a good driver, just hard to compete when you’re in a Rayburn running against the biggest chassis brands on the National stage
Merc Rogue they all have huge motors. He’s not a good enough driver to run with the big boys. Look at max Blair. He wins everywhere in northwest pa kicking ass and can barely run with the big boys. Tho he has won several big touring races. It’s more about $ than anything. Sometimes it’s not about running with the big boys.
Regardless of the size of his Powerplant and/or his driving ability; he made some rather impressive driving maneuvers, on this occasion. :45 to 7:25, in the above Video, will be used, as evidence.
Slide Ways alright put Davenport/Overton/Babb in a Rayburn and we’ll see if they run better or even as good in it. I can just about guarantee they won’t. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against Rayburn. They’re just behind on the technology man, it’s just plain facts
