    That green mesh fencing was a great idea! When you use wire or twine it always sags in the middle. I like this uniform look much better! Nice job.

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  Год назад

      Thank you! Yes, exactly! and if the wind blows it's easier to see large gaps in the middle of the twine layers if you use the backdrop outdoors. The mesh fencing is the way to go! Thanks so much for watching and commenting Jack! 🙂

      Thanks Dina!! 💕 This is by far my favorite method now too. Yes you do but, if you skip some rows/lines you can save time. I wanted mine to be really full so if the wind blowed you wouldn’t see any of the green mesh behind it at all, but you can still get the same effect skipping some areas to cut time.
      It’s best to start the project and do a little at a time or do it while watching a movie/listening to a podcast. So glad you enjoyed! 😊

      @CathrynRobinson-vv1uo Thank you!!! It’s definitely a project you want to give yourself a good amount of time to complete. It took me about a day, but hindsight I could have definitely skipped a lot more holes to save time and it still would’ve looked good. It’s great if you have a day off and you just put on a movie and kind of zone out while doing it! 😊

    Super cute! I was using Dollar Tree rug liners, but this looks wider and more durable! I do every other like or skip a couple lines to speed up the process.

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  2 года назад +2

      Thank you! 💕💕
      We’ll that was resourceful of you! But yes this mesh fencing is def the way to go. Especially if you have to transport or want to store and reuse. It’s more durable and still pretty inexpensive, plus you’ll have a lot of the roll left over even after a full backdrop like the one I did in the video.
      I recommend party city tablecloths over Dollar Tree too, just because they are thicker, less opaque and come in better colors in my opinion.
      Yes, skipping definitely holes and lines definitely cuts down the project time!

    This is an awesome tutorial! Question-without the backdrop stand, do you have any other suggestions on how to hang it? We're making one for our graduation party, but I really don't want to spend that much on a stand I'll only use once. Have you hung it other ways?

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  Год назад +2

      Thank you! It’s light but also very strong. You can use nails already in the wall to hang it up or removable command hooks. You could use rope and tie it to a wall outdoors or tree depending on where you plan to place it. Or you can go for an inexpensive backdrop stand on Amazon in like the 30s range.
      You may be even able to tie it to a curtain rod or stairs handrail. It’s very versatile just depends on what areas you have at your disposal. 😊

    Making this for a bach :) can I ask-is the length of the strips just the length of the table cloth ?

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  2 года назад

      Hi Stacey! This would be so cute for a Bach!! Yes super easy you just unfold the tablecloth from its packaging lengthwise (don’t continue to open it up as if you were trying to cover the table width. Only undo the folds that they made to put in in the packaging if that makes sense.)
      You can always trim where you need to as well, just make sure the strips you cut are the same size width. I believe I did 2 in width cuts.

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  11 месяцев назад

      I believe the squares are about 2 inches wide! It’s better for it to be a little bigger than smaller. The smaller ones make it very difficult to put your fingers through to make the knots which makes the whole process take even longer.
