watching people play lingo is great because it's 50% "how the hell did you figure that out so fast" and 50% "how the hell could you not figure this out instantly"
Totally agree! I guess most of us wouldn’t want people watch them play, feeling like the ratio would be more of a 5:95 😂
That's why its perfect playing with someone else, you really cover each other's weaknesses. You both also get to feel so smart when something clicks.
I despise all the yellow rearranging boxes. I would either quit or look up answers just for those without someone playing through with me.
It took me FOREVER to get Hide Seek (was stuck on show). By the same token, I got Tube instantly lol
This is how I feel about "read" like how do you not see it... then others, I'm just lost
@@Soadaa5656playing with someone else would remove excitement of figuring out everything yourself. That’s not much different from looking up answers online
Very Olexa move to run by a bunch of yellow lows in the same room whilst looking for yellow lows.
That's exactly what I was thinking! 💀💀💀💀
Olexa full on panicking a la: “Mom, pick me up, I’m scared!!!” because he went up to level two too soon
Man Olexa will be so mad at him when he finally finds the opposite of read
Right?
He truly never learned how to read, so I don't blame him for not knowing the opposite of it either
Is it write? If not, I don’t want to know
@@jeezuhskriste5759 That's my experience with the game. I'm farther than him but I've seen him cover areas I've never seen and I felt better not knowing
EBUT EBUT EBUT EBUT I’m LOSING IT BROTHER
I wish the dev was in here watching this and just patched in another puzzle with the answer EBUT
ITS BOOT
ME TOO, THERE'S NO E IN TUBE
@@YusufKorkmaz okay spoiler mcgee
@myclamish catch me uploading a custom map to thw workshop where every single answer is ebut
Such a series of Tyler moments. I enjoy this, but also get frustrated.
Tyler figures out upper-black Lobe/middle-red bowels == Bowl. Makes a sound like he just figured out upper-black Tube, wants to go back. By the time he gets back, he has forgotten what he learned.
Says they "chop of letters sometimes", which is not completely wrong, but only correct in the sense that we don't pronounce letters sometimes.
Still trying to think of words with "uh" sounds, rather than the "oo" sound in Tube.
Betcha by the time he feels ready for level 2, he still will be trying "ebut" 😂
I'll be honest, I'm practically screaming the answer at the screen. I think the silent e is throwing him off.
Also read, just think in terms of computer files. Files can be read only or you can...
When he sounded out "eee boot" I almost lost my mind.
it's been three episodes now haha. this series makes my blood pressure rise in the best possible way.
@@amandagarcia2848 Seriously. I think he hasn't realized that the upper clues have to do with sound or pronunciation at all.
I like how this game reveals so much about the player.
Loner = Nobody
Wow dude, a bit harsh.
I definitely felt targeted
this only "reveals" something about the player if you yourself are a loner. at which point i'd imagined you would have already noticed you are a nobody
Ongoing Rules Analysis Summary
(Note: For audience eyes only! While all observations are deduced directly from Olexa's videos, I've noticed some details which he has yet to pick up on.)
=====
Positional Aspects: Top = sound / middle = writing / bottom = meaning
Color Modifications (Quick Recap)
- White: Same (homophone, same word, synonym)
- Black: Reverse (reverse sound/word, antonym)
- Red: Reduce (remove sounds/letters, smaller part)
- Blue: Expand (add sounds/letters, larger part)
- Purple: Red+Blue (add+remove sounds/letters, bottom not yet encountered)
Multi-Block Interactions
- Sideways connected blocks apply their rules in sequence
- Blocks in the same column have the same answer
=====
In this episode, Olexa is spot on with his "mix-up" epiphany for yellow!
Yellow: Mix-Up
- Top: Mix-Up sound (rearrange sounds)
- Middle: Mix-Up writing (rearrange letters = anagram)
- Bottom: Mix-Up meaning (prouct of mixing)
=====
Known colors not yet explored: Green, brown, orange, grey, cyan, magenta
Arrow Clues Found: Up = North (completed) / Down = Fire
I think this is like a half spoiler, because Olexa has not figured out position Independence
@@BryanLu0 I may have been too reactionary in response to the previous summary getting a "Please don't spoil." comment. Disclaimer has been updated to more clearly convey the intended meaning: I'm not sharing this for Olexa to see, it's for the audience.
I think we also saw something new in our brief foray into level 2:
(spoilers for those who don't have eagle eyes)
Brown/Black in a Checkerboard in a single block's space.
is it me or is green bigger things, so path would be road and magenta would be things but smaller
@@erher1433 Well, the only completed green thus far is in the room of 4 directional paintings. The bottom-green block next to the "up" painting correlates with the same painting by the East/South/West puzzles, giving us North, which was correct.
It seems to be a direct "what is the meaning of this painting?" (and from the Air/Water/Earth puzzles, it would seem the "down" painting is Fire).
We haven't yet seen how that applies to the middle blocks labeled Path. Presumably, it has something to do with the actual paths of the maze, like the paintings have to do with the actual paintings throughout the map.
Still tearing my hair out that he can't figure out what a silent E is
Deicide is absolutely correctly spelled lmao
Didn't know it was a word till playing last night and getting there. Never felt so scrambled
Good band too 😂
Dead gods, I felt so smart when he declared that.
25:10 hahaha As soon as the lightbulb went on for LOBE - BOWL, I knew.
Don't worry, it immediately goes out again. One day he'll learn, and stop saying ebut. But not today.
@@LilacWithAutism nooooooo
For green, climb the tower in the middle of the maze! That should give you a clue of what to do next, can’t miss it
Next epi is already recorded, you’ll see
Me screaming at the screen when you were trying to figure out what "Mixed up paint" was lmfao
To be fair
Even if you know this game now, a lot of people might've taken the word in a different context because mixing actual paint does not form an actual painting or "art", only if you see it in a more abstract way maybe :v
@@marte010exe
@@jeezuhskriste5759
It was confusing for me back then tho
Even finding out that the paintings teleport you was a whole new mechanic I had to get used to in order to complete the whole thing :v
I bet he will kick himself once he gets the answer to Tube.
He got so close with butt
He put bout and then boat (it just infuriates me that he does not consider the other option)
He will certainly feel like a real heel
Nahh, he'll just say "that doesn't make sense, it's missing the 'E' " and then forget about it the next 983267532598 times he tries to solve the wrong thing... lol
The correct way to exit Level 2
...
...
Look on the backside of the pillars of the entry room.
Spoiler:
Something similar applies to all other levels. There always is a panel to get out
Decided to move it to the front 😆
With the rule I've deduced for blue, I believe I have the answer to Sun by the big blue door of the multicolor corridor...
=====
Blue = expand, Bottom = meaning, Blue-bottom = expand meaning (larger part/greater whole)
The sun, as we see it in our day-to-day lives, is a part of the larger phenomenon known as... the sky!
I honestly felt kind of mad because I didn't get it so easily as I thought
But at the same time I feel like that answer is a bit too...idk...childish or something?
I get it, but as a grown up I feel like the sky is going to fly over everyone's heads as the last thing to even find (pun not intended lol)
@@marte010exe Yeah, my mind went to things like galaxy or universe first, but since the answer is only 3 letters, I switched gears to a lower-concept approach. At which point, it became obvious, and I felt silly for not thinking of it sooner.
I interpret red as "take away from to get answer", rather than "within", so I easily got crust from loaf. Watching Olexa struggle with what makes bread was funny and infuriating
Hey Olexa! I watched the first episode and bought the game myself. You've explored areas I've never seen before and I'm surprised at how many you haven't found that I have. This game is huge!
The opposite of "read" is maybe "write"?
As someone who does computer science, its funny how this is a connection he still hasnt made
I would've said Heard, but oh my, write makes so much more sense
yea write or count were my first 2 thoughts
you also have to think of opposites in terms of common phrases or pairings, as salt and pepper are not opposites, but they are often found opposite each other in terms of common table spices.
but yeah, read and write i think make the most sense regardless, as reading is taking in recorded information (generally words) and writing is recording information (generally words)
Could also be wrote
I started playing this game because of your videos, and have been thinking to myself “I wonder how he’ll handle this one”. It’s nice to know you’ll just do exactly what I did and freak out 😂
At this point I'm convinced "opposite of read" and "ebut" are bits and he's just trolling us.
I wish they were but we get them in the next epi
@@OlexaYT Thank the gods!
I feel you may have a better time thinking of it as sounds instead of letters.
Ebit
Its ebut i swear just try it one more time it'll work
I think itll help if you think about it like: top is what a word sounds like, middle is how a word is written, and bottom is what a word means. If we use white as an example, all white = same. Top white sounds the same (homophones), middle white looks the same (homographs), bottom white means the same (synonyms). So with black top ignore how tube is spelled and just focus on the sound.
If I hear Tyler say "ebut" one more time I am going to explode. 🥲🫠
It gets views. And interaction in the form of comments.
Having watched lots of Olexa playing different games, I have figured out: While he's taking, he's only thinking at about 25% of what he's capable of. He'll get there, eventually, and he will comment on how obvious it was in hindsight.
the thumbnail alone is worth a thousand nopes, I'm all in on this video
I had the same reaction he did. “Oh no, that was level 1?”
@@jeezuhskriste5759 the first place I found in level 2 was the Hi room and I just left. Level 1 is plenty for now
You must finish this game , dont you dare abandon it (totally not an addicted fan)
Agreed, but as someone who's been thinking with pumpkins already... Backseat headache 🙃
I think that "ebut ebut ebut ebut" would have been a better title for this video lol
The green is possible I think, you just have to think outside of the (typing) box
I was screaming art because you going "the ___istic" made me instantly think of "The Artistic" but you just weren't getting there
Yellow bottom seems to be "something made of the word"
Butter is made of cream
Art is made of paints
Also when you put in "TAR" I felt so much despair because I thought you were gonna say "okay, it's not art either"
spoiler for bottom yellow:
Yellow bottom is more like the result of literally scrambling the clue word. I remember two where its more obvious, 'eggs' being 'scrambled eggs' and 'fish' is 'chum'
Lots of 'yellow bottom' in "The __istic" room to check. Plus the game seems to reuse words a lot from other hints and answers.
In the end of the episode he goes to black and proceeds to put in the exact same words he put in at the middle of the episode 😂
Couldn't play a game like this where there is no map and can get lost so easily.
If you think of them as sounds and not words then it might help you figure it out
tyler will have to learn top eventually
Some people will just stay bottoms forever
@@palfly1864 Oh brother. Angry upvote for the joke.
aliensrock stopped playing lingo because it wasn't "clickbait worthy" but i like the thumbnail business you've been doing
It’s really not easy to make a compelling thumbnail for the game but i think we’re doing okay. I just gotta get creative with the titles lol
I really didn't like his thumbnails for that game, as I recall.
@@peterpeladon aliensrock makes great videos, but man the clickbait thumbnails always make me mad
At least Olexa has the decency to make the thumbnails actually relate to the content of their video
You have to remember this is a business for him. He’s a full time content creator, you do what you have to do to get by. I don’t rely on RUclips’s income so I can be a bit more experimental with things
Tyler for homophone reverse youre just reading the words backwards where in actual you have to sound it out backwards so for example when you say tube it end in a “B”(Buh) sound since the E is silent, so tube backwards really sounds like “Buh-Ooo-Teh” not E-Butt😭😭, hope this helps
Ebut
So all top is color rule applied to sound, middle is color rule applied to the word itself, and bottom is color rule applied to concept?
Something like that
Tyler continues to extrapolate from nothing and refuse all clues
Oh my god I thought we weren't getting amother one of these!
"BOUT" "BOAT" I'm crying
Easily my favorite series on youtube right now. Thank you!
this series is great. you consistently get things i wouldnt even think of
The descent into madness at 15:45 😂
I love Olexa. This game is like comedy writing itself. It's funny how sometimes your brain just can't see something despite Olanky clearly being a smart guy.
'They are really hiking up the difficulty' he says after failing to see the opposite of read is write
It’s almost like it’s a puzzle game!
I really like your word game videos !
yellow bottom "PAINTS" was painful
"Paintful," one might say. :D
I’m dying at the forever EBUT 😂
The more I see purples the more I am convinced that it's rhyming. I am pretty sure all of the middles rhyme
It's not, but a subset of the rule can be classified that way
can't believe he is still stuck with "ebut" again 😂
Really cool game, hope you play more games like this bro!!
Ebut is boot and yellow bottom is what it’s made for.that would make paint, art!😮
that "CREAM" -> "BUTTER" epiphany was good, try and apply that to everything!
This is not spoilers, as every one I talk about you have already solved, but rather showing a concept you may not know about.
Have you heard of phonemes?
It's quite interesting, it consists of writing the sounds of the word, not using letters, basically.
For example, remember when you saw cat as a top black, which you say is homophone reverse?
I'm just going to show it to you as phonemes, as well as the answer you found, tack.
Cat: k æ t
Tack: t æ k
I'll let you draw the conclusions.
Also, top white berry.
Berry: ˈ b ɛ r i
Bury: ˈ b ɛ r i
If you are interested, I'll put some more examples after this point. If not, I hope you have a most wonderful day. I love the way you think, also, as well as your resilience and persistence.
In here, some examples from the "the artistic" room, all tops:
- Black: Posh (pɒʃ) shop (ʃɒp)
- Blue: Eye (aɪ) iris (ˈaɪrɪs)
- Yellow: Fine (faɪn) knife (naɪf)
- Red: Nighttime (ˈnaɪttaɪm) knight (naɪt)
- Extra black: Tine (taɪn) knight (naɪt)
- Another black: Much (mʌʧ) chum (ʧʌm)
And some of the room behind the start, all tops:
- Purple: Skies (skaɪz) rise (raɪz)
- Purple: Penned (pɛnd) ascend (əˈsɛnd)
- Purple: Trouble (ˈtrʌbᵊl) double (ˈdʌbᵊl)
- Purple: Walked (wɔːkt) blocked (blɒkt)
- Purple: Bird (bɜːd) word (wɜːd)
- Purple: Forbidden (fəˈbɪdᵊn) hidden (ˈhɪdᵊn)
- Purple: Violent (ˈvaɪəlᵊnt) silent (ˈsaɪlənt)
Now, I'll show you the phonemes of just the word given, not the answer, for some you have not solved yet. This is more for curiosity than for use, as I cannot read phonemes, and I think you also may not, although it gives you the number of phonemes, at least.
- Top Black: Tube is ʧ u ː b
- Top Yellow: Gel is ʤ ɛ l
- Top Yellow: Though is ð ə ʊ
If you are interested to know, the page I used to find what the phonemes were is tophonetics.com/
Otherwise, I hope it goes well, I love seeing someone else having fun and feeling accomplished whilst playing this game.
I hope you have a most wonderful day, or night, and have a lovely time.
PS, in the "the artistic" section I couldn't stop thinking it was "the autistic". I hope it isn't offensive, I'm autistic myself, so I think it's okay if I say that, no?
Anyway, goodbye. Have fun!
42:04 I think it’s less of adding something to something and more of just a larger part of something. I believe the answer is “sky”
"EBUT" on a t-shirt when?
So,
My understanding is:
Top - Phonetic
Middle - Literal
Bottom - Semantic
White - Equal
Black - Opposite
Red - Partial
Blue - External
Purple - Red + Blue
Yellow - Mix (fish -> chum, root -> spice, all are mixed while processed)
Green - Environmental(?) (Ceiling is (Hi)gh)
Brown - Turn into (?)
Ha you can almost hear your brain sizzle and break a little in your voice when you realized you could not walk back to level 1. You doing puzzles is lots of fun.
“Mixed up of this thing” just put the answer you got before because it’s making you struggle more 😂
I've bought the game, and there's definitely quite a few phonetics that are iffy it's not just tube.
Also quite a few of the level 2 words are more vibes than actually following the rules (looking at you purple and combinations) I've had to search multiple times and just look all the words that might match till I found one that made a smidge of sense.
You need to pay attention to the sounds that the words make especially for the black ones LOBE to BOWL because the e is silent and the o says its name
15:59 made me chuckle for sure. 😂
I think yellow top is about how it sounds, reversed, then spelled. So the top yellow that is "Gel" sounds like "jel", reversed sound is "lej" -- so 5 letters is probably "ledge"?
Truly one of the titles of all time
Listen and speak are opposites of each other.
Another word for Earth is Dirt. (I can't believe you guessed soil and not dirt)
Deicide was spelled correctly. It means to kill a God.
The opposite of read is write.
I am pretty sure Purples are always rhyming words. At least it seems that way
the portal back to level 1 is behind one of the starting room pillars
Instead of thinking of blue and red as add and subtract i think of them as being parts of a whole.
For red the word is a part of the clue
For blue the clue is part of the word
If the black top isn't a backwards homonym or whatever, I think it's just what the word sounds like when said backwards. Since lobe was bowl.
as a little hint for green, you should go back to that white box that says jump
YAY! I'm so excited. I got snacks >:)
Tyler has already done several green ones tho, no? I'm pretty sure he did but can't remember where -_-
tbf even if you do them its not really obvious what the rule is.
spoiler:
especially since you sometimes get enviromental clues for other colors and not just green
que buen video, en un rato lo veo
"The opposite of read...". That's so funny. I guess we all have brain goofs sometimes.
I love this series!
Never played it, just from watching you, it seems the reverse homophones are phonetical not rereading the word reversed.
So with GEL, it’s pronounced phonetically JEL. Reversed it would be LEJ, or LEDGE.
Olexa seems to be overcomplicating some of the colours which might be making it harder for him. So far i think the simplest terms i can put for what i have seen are white:same black:opposite blue:expand red:subtract yellow:change(root to spice paints to...) purple:rhyme(pacifist to amethyst) green:observe(the path spells words) brown:time?? Teal:response i guess
You have yet to figure out the true rule for the height of the blocks because it's consistent across the heights like you're kinda close, but you not knowing the real rule is what's making things like that yellow bottom one hard or any of the top ones.
For Path, try Road or Wall
He still hasn't realised it's a puzzle game lmao. It's impressive how far he has gotten without observing a single clue.
? We have basically completed everything we have run into in the game. What more do you want?
@@OlexaYT No shade meant. You just completed so much without commenting on clues in the rooms during the early episodes.

You hurt my brain
Boat, Bout, You were so close!!!
ebut ebit ebit ebay ebut
It would be best to put an example answer in your spread sheet to ensure you actually understanding what the colours mean
Hint: tube is phonetically spelled TOOB
My thoughts on the black "read": when you - - - - -, you store information from your brain onto paper. When you read, you put information from the paper into your brain.
As for the "tube", I think that it may be dependent upon which of British/American English you use...
Yo, I really like this one
yellow bottom use in something instead of mix up
i think black bottom has more to do with the sound than the actual spelling of it. im not sure how to give the example of tube without potentially giving away the answer. but something like "like --- kial"
The Artistic is my guess.
blue (red yellow blue black) the artistic?
he got it
nobody can accuse him of reading the comments now with ebut and read again
YES!!
Btw you can go back to level one: you need to go back to the main menu, click on the options go to the level tab and click level 1 and it will load you back into level 1....it's fucking weird to go back.
The ART-is-tic
Edit: jesus bro he finally got it 😂😂 i was dying inside
