Rip EBUT I will miss you
you can find it in undertale
The indescribable relief that hit me when Tyler finally said tube out loud!!! 😂😂
Ebute? ×20
Oh wow... this one was killing me to figure out. Meanwhile im screaming inside everytime I saw "read". Lol, truly a different experience for everyone
@@shadowofdeath8000 Am I wrong in thinking that the opposite of reading is a huge W?
Yeah, every time he said "homophone" WRT top blocks a little part of me died. Now, at least, I think he's fully grasped the different heights - top is sound, middle is letters, and bottom is definition.
Now if he'll just start looking around the environment a little more...
What i've learned from your playthrough is that being a native English speaker can actually be a large disadvantage for playing Lingo
e-butt?
As a german native I can't agree with this, I'm playing right now and fml I was stuck on ebut forever
Wait I misread your comment 😂 I thought you were talking about non-native speakers
I would estimate that about half of the people in the lingo discord server are watching this series lol
Hi lingo discord
You’re probably right lmao
coincidentally i'm from the lingo discord AND an olexa viewer so i may be sick of the puzzle blindness but i knew to accept it
Doesn’t quite fill the hole the well of animals has left but I still look forward to this series every day thanks olenxer
Funny how you said your brain is collapsing then proceeds to complete two new rooms flawlessly
So-- usually you're closest to an epiphany when the frustration and pain in your brain is the greatest
Green truly needs a whole new perspective.
Ongoing Rules Analysis Summary
(Note: For audience eyes only! While all observations are deduced directly from Olexa's videos, I've noticed some details which he has yet to pick up on.)
=====
Positional Aspects: Top = sound / middle = writing / bottom = meaning
Color Modifications (Quick Recap)
- White: Same (homophone, same word, synonym)
- Black: Reverse (reverse sound/word, antonym)
- Red: Reduce (remove sounds/letters, smaller part)
- Blue: Expand (add sounds/letters, larger part)
- Yellow: Mix-Up (rearrange sounds, anagram, product of mixing)
- Purple: Blue+Red (add+remove sounds/letters, expand+reduce meaning)
Multi-Block Interactions
- Sideways connected blocks apply their rules in sequence
- Blocks in the same column have the same answer
=====
Today's main topic: Green!
Olexa explores the green maze and finds that green blocks connect to environmental clues, usually with a prompt on the block indicating what to look for.
Green: Environmental clue
- Middle: Writing in environmental clue
- Bottom: Meaning of environmental clue
(Note: No top blocks encountered)
We also get a peek at purple-bottom in the multicolor corridor, completing our purple set. As expected, it also combines blue and red; expanding the scope of the meaning, then reducing down to something else in the larger category. (Spoon -> Cutlery -> Fork)
=====
Known colors not yet explored: Brown, orange, grey, cyan, magenta
Green-Bottom Arrow Paintings Found: Up = North (completed), Down = Fire (completed), Left = Diamonds (found many episodes ago, thus likely forgotten), and Right not yet found
Purple bottom is literally just similar thing with clear difference.
@@simonwillover4175 also I think purple might rhyme, amethyst from pacifist though I forgot if that was top
I think cyan might be response, we only got one instance of it but that's what it looked like
@@simonwillover4175 You can use "similar" as a shorthand for purple. Similar sounds, similar writing, similar meaning. Though it's more mechanicaly accurate to say that it combines the rules of red and blue.
@@Maglev178
Personally, I think that purple is replacement or change
In some cases it works nearly like rhymes because when constructing a word using top or bottom purple it's nearly the same but with a subtle difference
He figured the top blocks out, I’ve never been more satisfied in my life
Tyler you must not stop
That green, blue, and mint room is my favorite room in the game. It's also very aesthetically pleasing. Nice job in there.
I hope next episode isn't the last one, but I can understand if you're done completely (or just for now).
I took like a six month break myself after being broken by a specific puzzle that I still haven't figured out.
Either way, this was a great episode with great progress. Looking forward to the next one.
Which puzzle stumped you? I want to try my hand at it.
For the puzzle that stumped you, did you try "BOOT"?
"After I figured out that I didn't hate it, I really enjoyed it." -Olexa, 2024
since next episode will be the last one, it'd be awesome if you could make it a little longer and explored a bit of level 2. It brings out new concepts and expands on level 1's by a LOT, and in my opinion its definitively harder but also just a better level than level 1. Less confusing navigation too which is my least favorite part of level 1. Good episode though Tyler, and congrats on finally getting a grasp on tops! If I could make one last request, there's an area inside the tower in the hedge maze that you haven't done that could be good for a final episode too, one of my favorites in level 1! (also don't worry about orange you'd find it eventually if you kept playing level 1 but it's the only color where trying to figure it out without its tutorial is kind of silly)
also, if you end up playing some more of this in your free time, I'd definitively recommend both duolingo and liduongo (custom mod maps found on the steam workshop page), the first is mostly solvable with level 1 concepts and the second needs some level 2 knowledge but it also presents its concepts perfectly and is the best designed lingo level ever, both in the actual map and structure and the puzzles. But yeah, that's it, great video!
My comment also recommends he look for the area in the middle, it was really cool. I got very stumped on the 3rd floor, but that's only because I can't think right.
He's kinda nutty with it. He's wording left right and center.
i love this series so much. i’m playing the game now too, but i do not have the patience to figure out everything myself, so seeing you solve stuff that i missed is so good
I... didn't notice that the green blocks in the room were right above their answers... it would have made it a lot easier
You absolutely destroyed my solve time on the green words room well done
13:30 I would have tried TRAY. No S'
I liked when you figured out the word Upstairs, ran upstairs and wrote in Downstairs! Then later said "Well it's not Upstairs... Well maybe it's Upstairs? It is Upstairs."
This episode was one of the coolest of the series so far.
I will be so sad without this series 😢 But it's understandable, I wish I could watch each one 10k times to give them good views
cyan and pink dont show up in level 1 and can be safely ignored
sad mint and magenta noises
Cyan and pink are both custom colors?
@@mynameisjusttThey're referring to the colors in level 2 that Tyler has marked on his cheat sheet
@@BryanLu0I think he marked them because of the flowers on the side of the maze assuming they'd come up
definitely my favorite youtuber man, always quality. hope you keep rising.
try Antichamber as the next game :P
That is also a cool game indeed
"I'm gonna stop soon" he said. I guess it was a bottom black box.
This is not spoilers, as every one I talk about you have already solved, but rather showing a concept you may not know about.
Have you heard of phonemes?
It's quite interesting, it consists of writing the sounds of the word, not using letters, basically.
For example, remember when you saw cat as a top black, which you say is homophone reverse?
I'm just going to show it to you as phonemes, as well as the answer you found, tack.
Cat: k æ t
Tack: t æ k
I'll let you draw the conclusions.
Also, top white berry.
Berry: ˈ b ɛ r i
Bury: ˈ b ɛ r i
If you are interested, I'll put some more examples after this point. If not, I hope you have a most wonderful day. I love the way you think, also, as well as your resilience and persistence.
In here, some examples from the "the artistic" room, all tops:
- Black: Posh (pɒʃ) shop (ʃɒp)
- Blue: Eye (aɪ) iris (ˈaɪrɪs)
- Yellow: Fine (faɪn) knife (naɪf)
- Red: Nighttime (ˈnaɪttaɪm) knight (naɪt)
- Extra black: Tine (taɪn) knight (naɪt)
- Another black: Much (mʌʧ) chum (ʧʌm)
And some of the room behind the start, all tops:
- Purple: Skies (skaɪz) rise (raɪz)
- Purple: Penned (pɛnd) ascend (əˈsɛnd)
- Purple: Trouble (ˈtrʌbᵊl) double (ˈdʌbᵊl)
- Purple: Walked (wɔːkt) blocked (blɒkt)
- Purple: Bird (bɜːd) word (wɜːd)
- Purple: Forbidden (fəˈbɪdᵊn) hidden (ˈhɪdᵊn)
- Purple: Violent (ˈvaɪəlᵊnt) silent (ˈsaɪlənt)
Now, I'll show you the phonemes of just the word given, not the answer, for some you have not solved yet. This is more for curiosity than for use, as I cannot read phonemes, and I think you also may not, although it gives you the number of phonemes, at least.
- Top Black: Tube is ʧ u ː b
- Top Yellow: Gel is ʤ ɛ l
- Top Yellow: Though is ð ə ʊ
If you are interested to know, the page I used to find what the phonemes were is tophonetics.com
Otherwise, I hope it goes well, I love seeing someone else having fun and feeling accomplished whilst playing this game.
I hope you have a most wonderful day, or night, and have a lovely time.
PS, in the "the artistic" section I couldn't stop thinking it was "the autistic". I hope it isn't offensive, I'm autistic myself, so I think it's okay if I say that, no?
Anyway, goodbye. Have fun!
I think you've got your "tophonetics" set to British, which unfortunately is not what lingo uses, so your phonemes for (at least) "TUBE" aren't quite right
Gonna miss this series for suuuure when it ends.
Been watching every episode of Lingo. Having a blast. Hope you continue, but I understand if you don't.
I picked up this game since I've been solving puzzles as you go along with them and I've gotten pretty deep into it. Let me tell you, level 2 has some absolute bangers. Don't be intimidated by all the colors up there
Tyler trust us you do not have to explain why it's really important that top yellow is the sound of the word backwards, you already demonstrated quite thoroughly why it is important. RIP E BUTT
Just wanted to say, I absolutely love all of your videos, you inspired me to start a channel of my own!
Wow! You blazed through the green room!
Olexa: Fair warning I might be done with this game
Me, noticing I'm on 7 out of 24 videos on the playlist: 😊
It might take him a while, but when he gets it he GETS it
Nooooooo don't drop the series =/ This is the best series EVER
Excellent progress!
Keep it up this is so fun!
hell yeah olingo
I thought about EBUT for way too long myself. Ya gotta keep going!
Finally. Counting every minute until a new lingo upload :)
hey, one more! Let's go! If you don't finish the game I'd love to try and figure it out myself, but boy what a series! Absolute brain destroyer, it's great!
I love this series! I hope you keep it up :)
I'd love to see you finish it, or even upload the rest on your 2nd channel if you're worried about views ❤
Can’t wait for the next one!
9:59 This is such a facepalm moment
I know you already learned what green is, but still;
Tough, I admit i had watched it long ago, so i kinda knew what it was, and it's not that obvious;
What was obvious tough was the big tower overlooking the maze 😂!
Man, I love your videos, even if they make me angry at you sometimes.
I wish you lots of success!
I love when you play the thinky games. have you considered Chants of Sennaar?
I’ve seen it! Looks super cool
@@OlexaYT it is hands down the best puzzle game game I have played in the last few years. its thinky, but not obtuse. you have to learn glyphs of another language, you can use context or you can even infer things about a glyph from other similar glyphs.
also rare for a puzzle game, but the story and message are really good.
I can't believe he said that he ends the episode and there isn't another 20 min
< watches all the episodes all the way to the end and comments too!
I think top middle bottom aren't all different for each block but like a category like a high block is the category of sound, the middle is writing and bottom is the meaning.
I'm waiting for him to click this so he can rework his "spreadsheet" into an actual table. It makes figuring out missing rules when you know the "height" and colour separately a relative breeze
even if you stop uploading it, i really hope you keep playing this game on your own / not for youtube
So satisfying this one was
I'm surprised Green took so long, considering that there were so many of them that said Path
WE ARE STILL WATCHING!
Uhhhh here is more user engagement.
Also are you gonna do any more Farmer Was Replaced?
There’s more lingo coming! Farmer was replaced is probably dead for now tho :(
if you wanted to for some reason, you can press delete while selecting a completed puzzle to un-complete it
Oh? That's so cool! It means you can fact check your answer and hand it to a friend to solve.
honestly, your wanting to be done by now, it makes sense. I'd love love LOVE to hear your take on level 2 since it's bamboozling me to hell and back, but this isn't really a game you can play too much of at a time.
However, I haven't actually watched the rest of the video yet so if you figured it out it's nbd, but I wanna tell you orange has a sort of cipher thing, you need to find an area that tells you what the codes are :)
Top blocks are audible logic, middle is letters, bottom is literal, I'm pretty sure that applies to *most* of the colours, but since I can't crack level 2 myself, there's no guarantee. I've held off on commenting because I'm worried I'll spoil stuff, but I've gone pretty deep into the lingo hole and although it's slightly harder with english not being my first language and some things just make me angry, it does make sense to me on my personal spreadsheet
I love that you say that you can't play it too much at a time. I got the game after watching ep 2 four days ago and I have 12 hours in the game now and I haven't played today.
@@CarterDorman fascinating! I can play for hours if I really want to, but then I need to take a day or two long break because I either can't think straight or I get angry as hell over a solution (usually the top block puzzles) and just don't want to play for a bit :')
I'll miss Lingo.. everyone watch Lingo video everyone watch these Lingo videos watch everyone watch hey everyone
there is another 6 near north in red room!!!! its not filled in.7:45 timestamp
there are a couple areas missed in blue including that multi-color tunnel with the yellow at the end.
You found the blue 6? Oh, god, I've been searching for it because I found 5 and 7 but not 6. Thanks for the hint. :)
I sat here trying to figure out what “UNGO” meant not knowing what it really was
pain
I was trying to capture how I felt during this episode :)
Oh I just figured out the thumbnail says "LINGO" and not "UNGO"
Fair mistake in my opinion
idk tyler losing his mind is kinda lit. ngl. wikked
We gotta get more views on this masterpiece.
My head hurts
Im so upset. I was loving this game on this channel so yesterday I bought it and got probably a little farther than Olexa is at the start of this episode. It had crashed a couple of times on me but one of the times it crashed it completely wiped my save. So i restarted, got like 30 minutes in, and it crashed again. Needless to say im a little depressed I cant really play myself.
Jesus that's sad. I've had it crash on me once but it didn't delete my progress. Because the game builds off of everything having to rediscover everything would absolutely kill me too. I've spent 12 hours in the game in the last 4 days, I couldn't do that again...
Oh my god I hate green so much
Answers in the environment?!? That's INSANE
That mint blue green room was cool but for a second I thought you were gonna have to start counting the blocks to figure out how many of each were there
Thank fuck you're smarter than me and figured out you had to reuse the room below
Greenland? Souvey reference?
(Icely watchers will understand)
I NEED MOAR!!!!!!!
If you do need to move to other series, this seems like a series you could return to in a few months, as though it was fresh..? You've been taking notes already and are (I think) finishing up LEVEL 1...
I'm still hoping to see more, myself, though, sooner OR later.
In a perfect world, I’d love to finish level 1 and then do an episode on level 2. Then call it quits. But we’ll see!
@@OlexaYT There are several regions untouched in level 1 still; plenty of content if you can find them. IIRC, I think you need to find the orange tutorial room to unlock some doors in the Tower. At some point there's also unlocked a staircase up to a big new area in yellow.
i understand that you might be getting tired of this game, however i also really do want you to at least do part of level 2, as my computer can't run this game and there is iterally no youtuber that has covered that yet.
homophone is the sound of the word homo = same, phone = sound
The green blocks are green. Hope that helps :D
The announcement near the start makes me somewhat sad, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
I’ve already recorded two more after this 🤪
Told you it was boot!
best day ever
You really should try to atleast reach the end of level 1, its the canonical ending of the game. Level 2 (and other areas...) are extra content.
yessss at least one morrreeeee
Mah Dude! Homophone means same sound!
Hey it's not a homophone it's the PHONICS of the word reversed
tight
mad
longo
walcome buck
aktually
I’m so sad there’s no good play through of lingo if you don’t finish the game I’ll be left in lingopergatory forever 😣
Noooo! Please play more
Gamies
"This one sucks a lot" - Literally reading the word upside down. I think you're just bad at games buddy.
I mean… we still did the area with complete ease… what more do you want?
At this point it would be more infinitely more interesting to watch this after you google what each color means.
We’re watching you do nothing but run around and guess the same things over again, immediately giving up to run around again and guess the same thing on something else.
“You should just cheat instead”
Ah shit you caught me. I just came back to delete my comment cause you were in the middle of smashing the maze. I pulled the trigger early on the comment expecting this to be like last episode.
That being said I knew what I was asking. You cheating would have been more entertaining than a repeat of last episode. It’d of at least been fun to try and solve the puzzles along with you instead of mindlessly running around trying to figure out what the puzzle is in the first place.
Sometimes the journey makes the destination more fun
I think the process of seeing the gears turn, even if sometimes they're spinning wildly and going nowhere, is more fun than the puzzles getting solved. It's satisfying to see Olexa make the words turn green but his process is why I watch him solve the puzzles I've gone through already.
this man does NOT know what he's talking about - we're here for the struggle don't worry about it
Guess I’ll make 2,000,000 fake accounts and only like this video so you have no choice but to continue. /J
In all seriousness I’ve enjoyed watching you figure these out (although it’s sometimes frustrating watching you skirt around the answer) can’t wait to see the next puzzlexa
Even if next episode is your last, I really hope you keep playing this game on your own. There's so much content in the game, and it's so satisfying to complete.
Side note, if you do play the game on your own afterwards, there are a few dedicated hint channels in the official discord, if you ever need them. (We've also been sharing your videos when they come out, lol. We love to see new players figuring things out over there)
I'm so glad I joined the discord. I got super stuck in an area and I was going to give up completely, but the discord helped me realize, in the kindest way possible, that I'm blind.
Man,I've been looking in YT about this game,to look for secrets,Easter eggs and stuff alike...and there's nothing
I think you understanding green is the greatest display of brainpower in this series so far. My only regret in watching you is that I won't get to experience it myself. Great stuff!
I'm glad I bought the game after episode two so I could play ahead of the videos and figure these out for myself. Trust me, Olexa hasn't shown even half of the game. Level 2 is larger than Level 1 by far with brand new rules, so it's still worth it to get the game.
And there's also tons of custom maps as well :) I just finished one that I'm quite proud of for the Lingonberry Jam 3, and that should be releasing within the next couple of weeks.
Honestly I was getting a little burnt out watching how much he struggles on some of it, but the way he crushed the greens after understanding they were environment was invigorating
@@SleepyHarryZzz I think his progress is going to increase a lot now that he has figured out that the upper rule is sound instead of the more specific rule of homophones.
Hey tyler i look forward to this adventure and you figuring out maybe what orange means
Orange is a really fun color, but re-finding every piece of it is such a pain.
@@CarterDorman but so satisfying
You are so close to many things! Keep up the good work. Excited to see more even if it's just 1 or 2 more eps.
Ebutt no more, Tyler is finally learning.
It feels like EBUT broke the seal for the flood of genius on display this ep
I am vicariously living through Lingo.
I honestly love the Path and Green/Mint/Blue areas. I found those 2 days ago and I was stumped for the longest time. There's more to the center building, Olexa, and try following the directions in the center as well. You solved the directions, btw.
I totally understand if you end the series early, honestly I'm happy you've played this far. and this series has quickly become one of my favourite, I really hope you can find a puzzle game that you enjoy playing and more people enjoy watching
Will be sad when you stop but am glad you showed me the game, been having a ton of fun with it losing my mind
Some of us are definitely watching. There's dozens of us!
0:55 “The end is probably near”, when there are 35 episodes in this series currently.😂
was about to make this comment but with 36
"Aproaching the point of being done"
Says the 14 more episodes at time of writing xD
it would be really unfortunate if you ended this series. i’ve been looking forward to it and i’d love to see u play though it
love this serie so much ! it's my favorite one
This makes me want to try Antichamber again. Been loving the videos!
I'm making this comment after I watched 10 seconds of the video!!
Mothaflucker don't give us Lingo blue balls, finish the game!!😂
