    I fished this section of the Green before. That was back in 1990. Never saw another fisherman back in the day. We were bouncing worms along the bottom. Sometimes it can be hit and miss. If they let out tons of water out of the dam it will wash the fish down river. Golden eagles and muskrats. I liked fishing the upper Green river in Pinedale. I caught 5 different species of trout in one day. Rainbow, Cutthroat, Brown, Brook and one small lake trout. You never know what was on the end of the line!!! Try Soda lake in the spring.

    There are some SLABS in there! Are 800-850 cfs flows considered runoff levels or pre-runoff levels?

      I've talked to them, Marcus mainly (owner), and they are heavy conservationist and do this to inform how to properly handle, release and treat a river and species while enjoying the sport. I'm not sure many fisherman are as responsible as this guy and his team.

      That stretch had lots of fish in it and we fished both sides of the river. And that run is probably a good 100 yards long so we weren’t concentrated on fishing one spot in that 100yards

    If you fish this river on days when the river is heavily pressured it's hard to get fish into the boat. If you can hit the river after Utards have kept off the water for a few days then it fishes great. People from Utah always come and say dang this river fishes like shit... Then why do you guys come? Plenty of water in Utah.

    • @budd3484
      @budd3484 2 года назад +1

      I’m a Utard. Fish it all the time and SLAY. Pretty sure the state of Wyoming likes my money. Considering they send me emails and brochures all the time. Also whoever these guys are they seem to be fishing reds. Maybe I’m wrong though.

    • @roamandreel1470
      @roamandreel1470  2 года назад +2

      I can guarantee they aren’t reds. The reds were higher up in the water system and on the down stream side of the far run we were fishing. We don’t fish reds and find it in ethical. We have fly fished for a long time and can easily identify a red and make sure we walk around them so as to promote a sustainable fishery.

    • @budd3484

      @@roamandreel1470 you guys were talking about it on the very first fish. Maybe a little discreetly. And yes there are reds all over the area you were fishing and lower than that as well. I’ve seen them using those with my own eyes.

    • @roamandreel1470
      @roamandreel1470  2 года назад

      The area we we were fishing did not have spots that were cleared off of moss and debris for the eggs to stick to clean rocks. We consulted with the game and fish officer that came and talked with us that day about where the reds were. There may have been a red there before but not at the current time we there. That’s something we find unethical.
