I do agree on Julianne Moore playing Margaret White in the 2013 remake of Carrie as she did a great job giving the character some creep factor. I remember hearing Piper Laurie saying she thought she was doing a comedy when she did the original Carrie which could explain the hyped up craziness she brought to playing Margaret.
I would have picked the Le Domas family from Ready or Not. That family has some demented people. Even the ones that entered into the family were demented. Hell, the CHILDREN were demented. EVEN THE MAIDS AND BUTLER WERE DEMENTED. I can't imagine how Daniel's wife went into the family knowing all the stuff they were doing. She really said "ohhhh, family that worships the devil and the only way to properly enter is to play a game that might result in me dying? SIGN ME UP!!!" like, girl? What type of stuff did you have to go through to have that mentality?? And the funny part is that this family is doing all this devil worship crap while they're living the boujie life with all their wealth and good notoriety, yet they were terrible at the actual killing part of their job ☠️☠️☠️
Georgie: Likes Exhibit A. Hates Hereditary. Me: Jesus fckng Christ 🙄😂 But omg Yutaka, MOTEL HELL IS MY PICK FOR FAVORITE HORROR FAMILY AND I LITERALLY CANNOT BELIEVE YOU SAID THAT CAUSE NO ONE EVER KNOWS THAT FILM, YET IT’S SUCH UNDERRATED, CAMPY, TWISTED GOLDEN PERFECTION. The bags on the heads just above ground, and the tongues are cut out and it’s just “aagh, aagh, aagh”. AND THE FAMILY IS JUST FABULOUSLY FCKD AND THE ACTORS PLAY IT SO BRILLIANTLY 😂You just became my favorite reactor of the three by dropping that title. 😂❤️ Edit: I’m also an LCSW! Super cool, brother from another. 👏🏼♥️
I found out that in poltergeist the original part of the third act was that the scene where Diane is floating on the walls it was supposed to be a spider like thing spreading on the wall and tries to assault her this is due to the poltergeist going through the wall from the tv when carol anne was in there saying “they’re here”
Steve talking about Carrie, I kept waiting for him to give the 90s version a shoutout. Patricia Clarkson was a great Margaret White! And Angela Bettis was a very convincing Carrie. Not perfect, it lacks the budget it needed to be great, but the acting makes it so worth it!
Omfg, I loved Serial Mom. It was hilarious. I loved a lot of Kathleen Turner's movies when I was a kid. Serial Mom and War of the Roses were my favorites. I think I need to watch them again soon. I love introducing my friends to this and other of those hidden horror gems. My fave era has to be 80s-mid 90s.
@@TheHorrorHourTV Such a great movie. "Nobody that makes pâté this good can be all bad." "That depends on what the pâté is made of... woof" "Benny?" "A good dog to the last bite" Biiiiiitch, that movie had my lil gay ass cackling.
I think my fav horror movie family is The Firefly Family in House of 1000 Corpses. I have a special place for them as that was my section of the haunted house I worked at in the early 2000s. I was Dr. Satan, but like if he was strong like Leatherface. Lol Oh and for the Twitter contest! My favorite quote is more of an action. It’s when Derek starts speaking at lunch and it turns into him singing I think I Love you in the cafeteria. It’s golden!
Such a good episode I will say one of my favorite kind of horror/thriller family movie would be Mother's Day now that goes off the rails I wanted to hate the brothers but they were so damn fine I couldn't 😆
One of my favorite family horror would be Oculus, I was so paranoid of mirrors after watching it 😂 I actually liked Next Of Kin. But it shouldn't have been part of the Paranormal Activity franchise.
I like Paranormal activity 2 and 3 but the first was absolutely boring to me. I spent SO much money on that movie at the theatres wanting to be scared and I was just bored all the way through. BUT Paranormal 2 and 3 were great improvements and actually scary. I haven’t seen the rest though.
Omg yes the carrie 2013 praise 😭 that movie was written and directed by two non straight people and has a lot of queer subtext so I automatically adore it!
I feel like david has found his people, i love you guys together
He was the last piece of our puzzle 🧩
i just got here, already addicted.

Lol I love serial mom “Suzanne Somers , This is my BAD side!”
It's true George! YOU introduced me to David; his CREEP video is still MY favorite!
Ya'll are all great! More of these... 💚💚💚
We’ll keep them coming ❤️❤️
Yutaka’s pick for Serial Mom made me so happy! Would love to see people react to this film for the campiness!
Serial Mom is a classic from the 90s. I mean, that was some serious family dysfunction.

Carrie 2002 is fabulous

This topic made me think of the family in House of 1000 Corpses. Great video again this week!
