It’s sometimes quite stressful due to the time limit. It really does take awhile usually taking two to three people. We have to have our employees set up the ceremony, reception and meet the bride and groom to present their flowers. This designer does a gorgeous archway and Mayesh is the absolute best wholesaler ever!!
Hi Letticia! I wouldn't use floral foam for artificial flowers. Oasis works best when soaked in water, and keeps live flowers hydrated and in place. At the craft store you can find a special styrofoam that would work well, or you could cover the arch in chicken wire and use it as netting to keep the artificial flowers in place.
Hi Kaylee! I am wondering how you deal with the foam potentially dripping water and making a mess since they are usually soaked with water prior to installing them?
Hi Diane, Here are the products/quantities used: 8 bunch acacia foliage 40 stems spray rose 70 stems spirea 3 bunches eucalyptus 20 stems sweet pea 10 stems tulips 10 stem cappuccino roses 50 stem quicksand roses 2 bunches (40 stem) Japanese Ranunculus This is how much product it took to cover the front half of the arch, so if I was creating this same arch for a wedding, I would use double the amount of product to make sure that it was completely covered all the way around. As far as not having it tip over, I just tried to balance the weight throughout. I attach all of the foam bricks in different places to evenly distribute the weight, and then put in the flowers. If I were designing this archway outside, I would stake it into the ground for extra support.
I think that you can probably just zip tie cages to the pipe, as long as it has a sturdy base and can support the weight. You won't need to apply wood behind the cages, because you can get cages that have a plastic backing. (I like the Tribute Cage holder or Oasis Jumbo Cage from Oasis for this). Also, if you decide to hang with zip ties, I'd make sure to weave zip ties through the caged part as well as at the top and bottom of the cage, so that there will be no chance of the cage popping open, and the oasis brick falling out. (Just an extra precaution I like to take!) Best of luck with the project!
How would go about moving something like this from an outside ceremony into an inside reception? Would you have to completely remove all the florals or just move it as is? How many people does that take?
Would not be difficult. A couple of guys could probs my easily move it, being careful to not break any stems. I would personally use a couple of small rolling dollies (the flat ones you put boxes on), and you could easily move it to another spot.
Every flower and foliage you place on the right has to be the same as the left so it won't look un even especially the top, the foliage and the flower has to curve to the round shape of the arch, I've done so many arch and entrance and experience problems and solve it, especially standing from the front you need the background or entrance of the arch to be perfect for photos and videos.
Exactly what I was going to ask. I find it hard to price myself for these types of installs. Most of my brides down here think that flowers are cheap for some reason. I try and explain that it is a labor of love and though the product isn't inexpensive, the time, love and effort that go into creating these masterpieces is worth it. Gorgeous tutorial!
This company sells the flowers wholesale at places like the LA Flower Mart. They are a very nice family owned company, who also fulfills orders for websites like FTD, but I don't believe they do customer wedding designs in house.
Excellent choice of products. So lush and vibrant, yet dainty and confirming the true meaning of the word 'spring'. A star and winner indeed.
how much is the plants/flowers total costs for such project?
This is so elegant and stunning ❤
How long did this take and how long do you think a 6m length arch would take for 1 person?! Thanks!

Hello, I'm using fake flowers/greenery for my wedding arch. Is it still easy to use the foam for plastic? Would you still even use them?
Hi Letticia! I wouldn't use floral foam for artificial flowers. Oasis works best when soaked in water, and keeps live flowers hydrated and in place. Letticia Borroni doing the same. Thanks for asking. I would have just assumed that it work for both.
Beautiful and so helpful. Could you let me know how far ahead of time can you make the arches for an event? Thanks.
Hi! I'd make this the day of the event- if possible!
Sam Franco
how long would this arrangement last without wilting?
Are these real or faux flowers? Thanks💜
Love it!!!
😍😍😍😍👏👏👏❤️🙏🙏🙏Que bonito!!! 😍😍😍
Hi Kaylee! I am wondering how you deal with the foam potentially dripping water and making a mess since they are usually soaked with water prior to installing them?
Let them soak water the night before and let the additional water evaporate/drip away.
Que hermosas son las flores ❤️
How many bunches of each product did it take and how did you stop the arch from being too heavy on the front?
Hi Diane,
Here are the products/quantities used:

Kaylee What kind of stakes would you recommend using when building these installations outside? Thanks!
I will be adding flowers to pipe and drape. Will I need to add wood behind the cages first? Or can I just affix the cages to the pipe?
You would probably be able to attach the cages with zip ties or wire. Good luck!
thank you! Is it necessary to apply wood behind the cages?

Good Job dear 😁
Beautiful!
So beautiful. How did you anchor the arch?
This was inside and came with heavy weighted feet to keep it sturdy.
Its gorgeous! How many days in advance could it be made for a wedding?
Hi Karina! I'd create this with a team on the day of the wedding to keep it as fresh as possible for the ceremony.

How do you carry that big arch to the event? Doesn't the flowers and leaves fall apart on the way? Or do you do at the event places??
Hi - typically a large piece or installation will need to be done on site at the venue. Thanks!
Where did you get the arch metal base?
Hi! It's from Danner & Soli. An Event Rental Company in Oregon.
Wow, what would you charge to do that gorgeous archway!
Hi Bibane! It would be quite expensive! For a full arch in this type of product for a wedding, over a few thousand.
Thanks for, sharing!!
