Actually its really ineffective to mine crypto on a single mobile device especially when competing with purpose build mining rigs. That being said, with the number of downloads raid has, its might actually be feasible with the millions of phones pitching in their share to make a profit. They have literally spent something like $10,000,000 in RUclips ads and sponsoring creators to claim how much they love Raid. Ten million could have been used to make a mobile game so great that people would be lined up to throw their cash at them to play. Mobile games don’t cost a fraction as much as a AAA, or a self-proclaimed AAA, games from Squeenix, RockStar, Ubisoft, and others do. But they are clearly making more than enough money because it’s 23 March 2024 and the game is still going strong, so clearly people are throwing their money on these damn gambling shards.

Farm games like Diablo 2 have evolved into idle clickers that AFK content. I remember people ALWAYS wanted to do this since forever. There were coders that spent time coding bots for Diablo 2 to turn Mephisto and Pindleskin runs into idle clickers in games like Diablo 2 that farm gear for you, instead of a person actually playing the game. Flashback to 2020, and now we have an entire new genre in which games are designed with autofarm features. Games such as AFK Arena, Raid Shadow Legends, and the entire pay to win mobile genre evolved from the previous iteration of games. At its essence, Diablo 2 is not an RPG, it is a farm game, but it wasn't a pay to win farm game and the game developer actually banned bots instead of implementing bots within the core game to farm content for you (which is what the new games do for you). And farm games have evolved in AFK idle clickers that now proliferate the market. Having bots farm content for you creates the constant illusion of progress, since whales will always be ahead of you anyways since they spend money to get ahead, essentially gaining an advantage in resources over time since money provides a quick infusion of resources. Personally I hope this trend in gaming dies soon and some genuine creativity comes about to wipe out the wave of afk pay to win farm games. But don't get me wrong here, I know EXACTLY where this genre came from. Bots (basically idle clickers) in Diablo 2, were the prototype of the design for afk farm games.
7:00 thanks a lot for showing the actual script for once, it's very important to me. I much rather see the thing myself than hear someone else talk **about** it. I read it fully and... it's not about "not leaving room for the content creator" it's more about them thinking "we're going to give you this much money and employ you to do a commercial for us"... think about the commercials on TV. The people don't do it to be themselves, they're actors for a product and they get money for it. It's just an ad.... however the very clever part, unlike when you watch a movie with arnold schawrzenegger and then the commercial cuts to something completely different with a different person like a lady talking about tampons, imagine arnold blending it to seem like it's his oppinion, that he is genuinely excited to talk about some leather jackets that he claims he wears. But actually doesn't wear. This is the next level of manipulative tactics, THAT is the real problem. The problem isn't "it isn't giving room for content creators". No, they're hijacking your channel and your identity.

Seems most channel are just allergic to discuss money, even when they clearly are doing fantastic on that front. No wonder this video exploded in views too!
Cheers and keep it up!
In a lot of cases it can be a breach of contract to discuss money it's also not something many people do in person as it comes off really bad, youtube also actively advises creators, "Do not share how much you make with youtube or sponsorships"
my experience is that the medium sizes creators don't talk about money but many really big ones do and small ones too (since they don't get a lot i guess). as an example asmongold talks a lot about how much money he earns from youtube/twitch etc. but that's just my personal observation

Whats hilarious is that I got a Raid: Shadow Legends ad at the start of this video. They're really working overtime - positive. negative. they don't care.
finally, someone said it!!! Most of those that get paid sponsors list a default character or a promo character as their favorite. NONE of them play the damn game.
Much as I love MxR, they show only the women.

I am kind of stunned that in all the time I'd been pelted with "ads" for Raid Shadow Legends, I'd yet to see even a mildly critical look at it. And considering the money you're missing out on, this video's a damn public service. Cheers man. Subscribed.
I can't be for sure but if I remember right I think there is some kind of legal BS in their contract that says something along the lines of
"You're not allowed to be critical"

Yes it actually did. 1st advert was raid. 2nd ad was for glasses or some ish
I came to the comments just to see if anyone else has an raid ad too I had a car ad then raid.
Ian P yeah, the algorithm sees that the video is talking about RAID, so it’s more likely to play ads for the game on a video with the same topic.
The one at the end was raid but I didn't pay attention to the first ad. I got the death knight what did you get? Can we collect them all?
Raid: Shadow Legends is the awful Loot Crate of 2019.
At least Loot Crate delivered a decent enough product.
But the boxes were always of quality.
You could make a kind of “anti-award”: The “Golden Loot Box” for video games exploiting loot box mechanics or other ways for the pure purpose of earning money.
Such poetry. I've taken a liking to people ripping this "game" apart, hitting all the right notes, and saying "no" to the bribery so as to not lie to their subscriber base.
By the way, what's the music in the end? I hear that over the radio before two local talk show hosts start a morning show but no one knows what it is. Sounds very familiar, like "Burn It Down", by Linkin Park.

Upper Echelon Gaming: makes a vid named "Raid: Garbade Legend"
**Everyone likes that**
I legitimately got excited when I saw this video and title.
@Internet Hardcase So you have chosen... *death*
+5 to nerd respect
