rats are actually chill, and pretty nice. They aren't these terrible things, they're just too many and often cause issues with peoples trash or homes when uninvited lol. but that goes for anything.
I’d honestly love rats if I didn’t know they can carry diseases and have that rather disgusting thick tail, I sometimes have rats coming inside my cellar and I’m petrified lol
That's what my hubby said when I brought home a rat for my daughters 1st pet. Hes in love with her and the 2nd rat I got. I come home with him holding them pretty often

This is adorable, i appreciate the love and care you have for sleepy bean♡ When i was about 8 yrs old we lived on a farm, we obviously had mice, i used to play with them, make them beds, blankets, and pillows, the pillows id use tshirts and make pillow Cases and stuff them with cotton balls and same for blankets..i would ride them around in my wagon and i had a little mouse house in my room for them, This video took me back to 8 yrs old🥰
That's so sweet 💕 We take our ferrets camping with us and we have sleeping bags for each of them (from the toys/dolls section of a toy store), it's so cute.
I had a rat named Bernard for a couple years. It was pretty heart breaking when he went. Took me a few weeks on that one. Rat’s are wonderful pets. The personality really surprised me.

Each time a lot of rats died, either from the bacteria or from humans killing them, the fleas looked for any host they could find, which included humans.

Some rats are naturally very chill, but even in those not so calm, as they age (around 2 and over), they can become super-relaxed. I find the older they get, the more comfortable and trusting they become (so long as still in reasonable health). My oldest were 3 years 9 months, 3 years 8 months, 3 years 5 months (and a few at 3 years) and I find once they get that old, their relationship with you changes a lot. I've seen this in rats who wanted little to do with me when younger, become cuddly when elderly and enjoy cuddles and ear-cleaning (often necessary due to hind leg degeneration). They change, just as we do, throughout their life-span, and the older, the more wise and laid back they become. Not in every single case, but in my experience, the majority do.
If this is really a brand new bed, this sweet girl has probably been trained to lie down cutely when asked... Normally a rat would be all over a new object sniffing and investigating and scent marking it 😁
