    Haters gotta hate. Well done NZ. In a years time no one remembers the 80 minutes play by play, but they do remember the outcome. I'm pretty sure SA isn't losing sleep over winning WC by only a point. They won. Job done Razor, and from our mistakes we learn and improve. Not in a long time have I been interested in the toxic state of NZ rugby and the division it has created amongst the fans and also the aura it has taken away from the all black name. No one fears them anymore, no one respects the haka as they once did... too much in-fighting and behind the scenes carry on. But now, after listening to these guys and the thoughtful, intellligent replies they give, backed up with a hard fought win, it's like a breath of fresh air in that stale, dank environment. World rugby has watched the emergence of Razor...they know his background, what he brings to the table...it matters little that it's his first stint as an international coach... his track history speaks for itself and that has brought with it an edge of uneasiness for overseas teams, a degree of uncertainty as to what to expect, and i suspect they quietly fear that he will gel the all black culture the way he did canterbury, and team culture is what creates a dynasty, not just good players. We only have to look back at the self-destruction of the wallabies and their toxic culture of those that thought themselves better than the coach and bigger than the game. Good players, toxic attitudes. Thank you Razor for bringing me back to the game i loved so much as a younger man.

    And given that World Rugby have made the laws about the Shot Clock, the Shot Clock should be made visible to at least the Kicker & those in the Stadium and hopefully with a corresponding Shot Clock on the Broadcast.
    Instead of relying on the Ref to give a reminder of the remaining time, that job should be done by the person who brought on the Kicking Tee so that they can give the Kicker the reminder(s) that they prefer.
    With regards to how many Caps a player has, I would like to see that converted into minutes as the number of Caps alone can sometimes be mis-leading. I would also like to see the Caps/Minutes as a Starter & those Caps/Minutes off the Bench.

      It's bizzare that an international between two of the top nations wouldn't have a shot clock. It's not a brand new rule. World rugby specifically spoke of implementing shot clocks in stadia in and in broadcasts when they introduced the rules. They make a lot of money from these games, and the broadcasters charge a premium to viewers, they need to do better, it's not good enough. .

    Well done to SR & the ABs. However, a spot-on goal kicker is required &, hopefully, DM will get it right next time. The Don Clarkes, Barry Johns, & so on can make the difference. Never forget that. I look forward to next Saturday, where Eden Park should be the place to wrap up things. 14-0 at the end of 2024? Be nice!

      Really great NZ have appointed their peoples coach, but 14 wins for 2024??? Delusional; boks will have a lot to say about that!!!

    • @stephenwitherington879
      @stephenwitherington879 3 дня назад

      @user-dx9yp5ox3i I did put a question mark at the end of '2024', & so in no way banking on 14-0 happening. Naturally, the Boks is always the team for the All Blacks to beat; conversely, the All Blacks is always the side the Boks wants to beat. It's a rivalry for ever, as it must be. No side is unbeatable, not even South Africa. 2024 may or may not become the new 1924, but it should, nonetheless, be very testing for all sides & reasonable commentators.

    Jeez, some people are hard to please or they got out of the wrong side of the bed or they just have it in for Razor & co. For a new ABs coaching group, only announcing the squad of 32 10 days ago (subject to seeing if there were any injuries to players in the SR Final), having to assemble, do a lot of firsts including all of the PR etc, a new set of plays to learn, to pick a matchday squad of 23 within only a couple of sessions allowing them a few more sessions to gel, to play against a team that has had the same coaching group for ages, has had a Six Nations earlier this year, been in camp for a month or so, played a warm-up game in Japan, the ABs performance was good. Given all of those adversities & firsts combined that the ABs are notoriously rusty & conservative for their first game of a season, then for the ABs to win was a big tick for me. For sure, there will be plenty of work-ons but what else would one expect after the first step of a 4 year journey? And yes, it would be nice to see Roigard & Jordan etc recover from injury and for the likes of Mounga & Frizell (& maybe Fainganuku) to return & for the emergence & growth of the next generation of players to appear to allow for more competition, greater depth & options for the various positions. There will no doubt be a few hiccups along the way, a loss of form/fitness by a few players but exciting times…
