Try using a hole punch and make some holes near the top edge for added air.

Where is the best place to buy Methanol fuel reasonably priced ??? The reserve tank that was connected to the bruner to resupply the alcohol fuel with the blue hose, do you have a video of how you made the item Sir ??? Thanks

with the resevoir attached, the felt was saturated to begin with and then used an additional measured portion. So it is possible that more was burned than what came out of the bottle.

I love My stove like that !!!!
If You want to make ramen noodles You can do it with 10 ml. of yellow
heet ( will heat soup w/10ml. heet too , won't scorch pan either , specially if it's ceramic or
    nonstick )

I just bought that Evernew DX stove and stand. Now, I am contemplating buying a 3x3 piece of Carbon Felt for various uses from windscreen to primer disk. These days in Canada the cheapest I seem to be able to find is about $50.00 for the 3x3 foot piece (including shipping). One thing I cannot figure out is whether it might be a suitable material to replace the (supposed 'platinum') catalysts that they use in hand warmers?

The slow nature of alcohol stoves would benefit greatly from a cozy during cooking.

Hiram, would a larger diameter can, say maybe double the size of the can you used have brought it to a boil? Also, you mentioned about when using a reservior that you'd have to burn the fuel out. I might be misunderstanding your meaning & excuse me if I am! But, why not improvise a shut off between the reservoir & the burner/stove?

Maybe my motto should be, "I do it so you don't have to" 8-)

Where do you find carbon felt? I've looked around Pinehurst, NC. Do I need to order online? I've got Lowes, Tractor Supply and Ace.
