Gohan could transform to Ultimate only in the Budokai series, not Budokai Tenkaichi he’s treated as seperate for anyone wondering.
I'm pretty sure this time we will have Gohan (Super) which can go up to Ultimate.
Back then, Ultimate wasn't a transformation at all, lore-wise. Dragon Ball Super retconned it to make it a transformation. So it now makes sense for Gohan to be able to transform into it in Sparking Zero.

@@catalyst9808 nah, in Sparking Zero characters only have up to 3 transformations to keep somewhat balanced the amount of kits each character has, that's why Blue Kaioken and Evolution are active skills instead of transformations. With The Great Saiyaman, that means Buu Saga Gohan already has 3 transformations, and DBS Gohan has no transformation sequence into Ultimate but has The Great Saiyaman showing up constantly during filler episodes, so I don't think they'll cut Saiyaman from a possible DBS Gohan. Turtle Gi Ultimate Gohan will likely be a separate character again, with a moveset that's likely to be inspired by DBS alongisde the Buu Saga kit from BT3.
However, Adult Gohan from Super Hero will likely be able to transform into Ultimate, as in the film he went from base to SSJ2 to Ultimate. Add Beast to that and we already have Super Hero Adult Gohan's 3 transformations.

This looks great! We'll have to see about any lag though, can't really tell anything from this footage since they're on a lan connection. The game is probably p2p with some central server for matchmaking. So after matchmaking they'd basically be directly connected to eachother and since they're on lan, it's the best connection you can get. We'll have to see how it handles a real online match with distance between players.
Yeah distance will be the real test but I do remember raging blast having pretty good netcode
So far, it looks better than XenoVerse’s net code, but we will have to wait and see.
13:57 Only in the modded version. Original Tenkaichi had Ultimate Gohan as a separate character. He'll probably be a separate character again, and then we'll probably have a version in Super Hero that is base, SS, Ultimate and then Beast.
Gohan was always ( well starting the second game) able to transform into Great Saiyaman and ultimate with just a completely different character, now if Videl loses great Saiyaman I'm going to be real sad
But since Super established that Ultimate is a transformation, I'm curious if he'll have it as a form or not

Heh...Kazunoko about to lock in and get cracked at this game...that said it's a shame they didn't get people who knew how to play for this showcase...but part of me likes this cause it shows that even if you're not super good you can still have a banging good time with this game
Tenkaichi 3 was so awesome, the fact that you had a huge map meant you could do so many funny things when playing with friends. And discovering those map transitions were so epic

Idk if y'all saw this, but Hercule was throwing rocks and he hit the pillar for the suspended tube bridge thing, it didn't break. Obviously it wouldn't break, but the fact that this detail is in the game is so refreshing, cause most games wouldn't care and Hercule would have been destroying apartment buildings with his rocks 😂. W SPARKING ZERO!

the game looks really good and smooth too even tho its online and idk if there will be a timer i hope you can toggle the timer on and off but online being dp battle im okay with that you can still pick your favorite character but you do have to be smart about your team wich is cool

Online battles are definitely gonna be interesting. I do wonder if it'll be free pick or DP based for character picks outside of custom rooms. If its the latter, it should sort of keep the overall power scale evened out.

We are getting an official BT4 (possibly GTA 6) before an Ed Edd n Eddy Part 2 on Rhyme’s channel.
Looks great and as much as I want to glaze the game, it's hard to tell how well online will play when this is a controlled environment. I really hope it's good, but I'm not sure if this is actually representative of the game when everyone gets access
Now all I’m hoping for is costumes. Like having super saiyan 2 gohan in the great saiyaman costume like in the tournament or vegeta in the badman outfit
It looks so good. My only tiny gripe is that they changed the SSB shade back to the anime cyan when the old trailers had the DBS Broly shade of blue. It looked better with the Broly colors. But yeah that's nitpicking.

18:30 sounds like DBZ Supersonic Warriors for the GBA, except it's online. That would be sick, I wouldn't mind that idea as long as we can do the story modes offline as well.
Only thing I’m kinda worried about is the damage scaling like I know of course in arena fighters doing a bar for like an ultimate is fine but ultimates doing 2 whole health bars is kinda crazy to me but I could be super wrong
You can have up to 7 health bars, so it should be fine. Scale that down to other fighting games 3 ults kills you, I could be wrong but that sounds about right for other fighting games
My thoughts:
The melee is seamless and the colors are vibrant. Transforming is done roughly the same way as BT3, so that's a +. BEAM CLASHES. Tons of good things in this game ive seen so far.
The negatives: if you are on the ground and the opponent is in the air, the camera goes through the ground to view both characters instead of widening the scope of view for the ground person. That's really the only mevagive I've spotted thus far.
Overall: looks to be a solid 9-9.5/10. Im here for it!
I'd like an option for overpowered transformations SSJ Broly should do double damage against Burter same thing with SSJ3 Goku Vs SSJ1 Vegeta. Of course, the benefit of low power scaling is that all characters are viable you can main Cui and not have to wail for 10 days.
The hype surrounding this game is genuinely insane i dont remember the last time ive been this excited for a game, sparking zero is a miracle everything about it just seems perfect, this game is going to be talked about for years

If the issue was they can't give us local due to map destruction, then why not simply have it be a setting toggle, and just have it be disabled by default on the consoles that cant handle it ( x box series s) and just make a disclaimer about performance. This way they can add all the maps without any issues.... and if it crashes on xbox series s, its on the user, since they agreed to the disclaimer and they still decided to turn it on.
I've been thinking of them doing a dramatic finish system or something similar. I feel like it should be once you get the opponents health down to the last bar your ultimate changes to something that actually kills the enemy, like you said the hakai. Some moves actually obliterate the opponent. Like vegetas dirty fireworks would actually blow up the opponent and their character would get switched out. Would be amazing and add even more uniqueness to characters. It could be difficult to make moves like that for everyone tho.
We really got a new tenkaichi game and the return of mvc2 in the same year
It looks good but they should have done this in separate areas to get a more accurate online experience. There’s no input delay really or lag, which would be good if they were Tokyo to Osaka distance. One thing I noticed that I don’t like is that whenever your opponent does a super, transform, or anything with a good amount of animation both screens have to watch it. Back in bt3 they can be doing a super/ult/transform and you are still free to act and do whatever you want. you weren’t locked into watching their animation. Hope that gets fixed but other than that it appears like we got a 5 course meal

13:35 | I think Ultimate Gohan is going to be a transformation because Gohan revealed in Super it's a form not just a state, because I'm assuming BT3 assumed Ultimate Gohan was a perfect state of being / form. I also think all SUPER HERO characters are going to be in the first DLC pack, I think it's weird to add Gamma 1 & 2 + Cell MAX as DLC while Awakened & Orange Piccolo & Beast Gohan are at launch.
I think maybe final build the ultimate gohan might be a 4th transformation. I imagine for Beast Gohan. They'll have an iteration like goku and vegeta, so it'll be Gohan (DBS) just thoughts tho

Ultimate Gohan was always a separate character from Adult Gohan in Tenkaichi and RB2. Likely it'll be the same here.
Super retconned it to be a transformation, so there's reason it might be a transformation in Sparking Zero.

If you get anything, you won't get legendary finishes. You'll get the system from RB which was a team finish, such as having goku/krillin on the same team resulted in the spirit bomb having a much different animation and doing 99999 damage. Had factors to activating it mind you, but that's likely what you'll get. The enemy after the attack was disentegrated though.
