The original Octahive goes back to the very beginnings of Beetronics and it’s snarling octave up and switchable modes helped put the company on the map. With V2, Octahive gets to partake in all the advancements Beetronics have made with their designs and switching options, all while preserving the tones you loved with V1.
Controls include a powerful Pre knob that adjusts the signal before the fuzz, a helpful parameter for dialing in super clear and clanging octave up sounds or for thickening up the heaviest of riffs.
The two modes Buzz and Octave are now footswtichable and here’s the cool thing: you can choose to toggle between modes by double tapping the footswitch, hold the switch in either mode to momentarily toggle or hold the switch when bypassed to momentarily blast into either mode until you release it.
Like others in the Babee series, the Octahive V2 is housed in a compact metal enclosure with knobs at the back and is handbuilt in California. See what the buzzz is all about at Beetronicsfx.com

If I ever see you out at lunch I'm gonna buy ya brewskis. I just realized that, man, you have provided us with like a thousand hours of entertainment and education over the years, and never asked us for anything. I didn't know squat about pedals before watching all these demos. At the end of my wits at work, just tune in and see what you're playing and listen to a jam. Just find out about some crazy pedal from whomever whenever, it's straight to the youtubes to see if you demo'd it. You've made a real valuable resource that we all just sorta take for granted here.
Hey thanks so much for the kind words! I really did start this line of work with the idea of being a resource, not a show or sales video. It’s the best to hear when someone finds it helpful and educational!
I love a good octave fuzz, and that one is super groovy. Thanks Andy, you’re the G.O.A.T.
That last demo with the temporary latching has my interest, I need to go check one out. 😺👍
Excellent splat bro.
Perfect demo as usual and very smart and badass pedal, I would probably took one if had not my PolyBlue already 😅
Found the soul for today.
If you don't like Fuzz then you're not playing it right.
Truer words have never been written❤
This is how I feel with my BOG fuzzface, I’m convinced it’s reserved for people who are much better at guitar than I am 😂
@@theopiumden1551you don’t have to be a shredder to melt faces
I thought I hated fuzz for years. But I just hadn’t found the right fuzz. The thing is with fuzz is it’s not like OD or distortion where it’s all basically the same with minor tweaks - every fuzz is dramatically different to every other. You just have to find your fuzz. I kind of hate Muffs, but I love Super Fuzzes and Foxx Tone Machines.
That’s what she said 😂😮
Amazing intro!
How is this different from the Vezzpa?
There are different octave fuzz circuits. I think this is more like a Octavia while the Vezzpa is more Super Fuzz-y
I think on vezzpa you have more compression, always max gain, you can do some fast legato licks and it´s gated...octahive is more vintage style, and you can get a more "clean" octave with lower gains, and not gated
@@Jack_S_Albert Yes, I meant to explore more of the cleaner Octavia sounds here but the Octahive certainly shines in those scenarios! Thanks!
Andy is #1
I know it’s pretty much always been said but Andy is a great player but that demo track was something else!
Why did I have to watch this? Now I need to buy two pedals 😢
That’s nasty Love it
Great demo Andy! BeeTronics always sounded too much synthetic to my ears, this one makes no exception. And it's probably what people likes about them (?).
I do prefer caricatural fuzz with true Ge transistor even if its less "manageable"...
Bad ass intro!!!
I love my V1...................They should have just added a second footswitch.
A double tap to go octave on or off, looks pretty simple.
Quality pedals work fine with switching like this.
@@CorbCorbin The original doesn't. It has a toggle on the side of the pedal.....Which screws with guitar players at every level.
11:43 is literally the best tone I’ve ever heard in my live man. Crispy punchy splattery.
psychocandy meets you’re living all over me
guitar
I have the Royal Jelly and it is bee you tea full.
Nice music as usual, but too much fuzz for me 😮😂 !
