Jeez, you 2 speak so much sense. I normally hate people who stop every few seconds a video just to speak rubbish, but you 2 always had a relevant and thought provoking comment. Well done, will watch more. From the UK, Mark
Great video, I would like to point out tho that Isreal is a VERY new country, Palestine is what the country used to be called... Essentially isreal took their country from them, with force. Also when he says wont give a hand to palestine, but will give whole ARMS to saudi arabia, it is a play on words, arms meaning weapons as we (US & UK) have sold many many billions of arms to saudi arabia but never once intervened in the genocide happening in palestine
Actually the British played a big part in the existantance and formation of Israel. When the Balfour Declaration 1917 was signed announcing its support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine. It is very important to understand what happened before 1917, during WW1 the British turned to Arabs asking them to revolt and help them against the Ottoman Empire. It was called the The Hussein-McMahon Correspondence (1915-1916). The British High Commissioner in Egypt, Sir Henry McMahon, exchanged letters with Sharif Husayn bin Ali of Mecca. The letters discussed the future political status of the Arab lands under Ottoman rule. McMahon implied that Britain would support Arab independence after the war in return for Arab support against the Ottomans. However, the correspondence was deliberately vague and did not clearly define the boundaries of the promised Arab state. The British later argued that Palestine was excluded from these promises, but this interpretation was not made clear to the Arabs at the time. Then we have the Sykes-Picot Agreement (1916). This secret agreement between Britain and France outlined their proposed spheres of influence and control in the Middle East after the expected defeat of the Ottoman Empire. Palestine was designated for international administration, directly contradicting the implications of independence given to the Arabs in the Husayn-McMahon Correspondence. The agreement was kept secret from the Arabs and only came to light after the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917. Now finally comes the Balfour declaration. Arthur Balfour who was Zionist Jew stated that the British government supported the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine. This declaration was made without consulting the Arab population of Palestine, who were the majority at the time. The declaration also promised that nothing would be done to prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, but the Arabs felt this was a contradiction and a betrayal of earlier promises. Overall, you can clearly see the deceptive nature of Britian during and after WW1, contradictory and false promises. The realization of these conflicting promises fueled Arab resentment and mistrust towards the British. The Arabs felt that their contributions and sacrifices during the war had been exploited and that they had been deceived regarding the future of their lands, particularly Palestine. This betrayal had long-lasting repercussions on Arab-British relations and contributed to the complex and contentious history of the Middle East in the 20th century.

I really liked how you both shared you honest views on the world and your own opinions I respect your point of view also, coming from the UK it’s nice to see Americans think about the UK as the same as you!
In the last verse Dave says “Go and get justice for Rashan Charles and Edson” in case you were wondering who he’s referring to, Rashan Charles passed away after a struggle with a police officer on the floor of a 7/11 store and Edson Da Costa died after being stopped by police officers who used excessive force and CS spray on him. Both incidents happened in 2017. A lot of Americans think London is sweet but so much tragedies happen especially in the black community here. Media just doesn’t report it.
Also Palestine is really not the enemy of the USA, it's literally a land that's getting forced out of existence, struggling to keep it's identity alive. Dave was trying to highlight how you can trade billions worth of weapons with Saudi Araba (which on another hand have been known for being involved in fuelling wars in the Middle East) and he is basically questioning hypocrisy of world leaders like those in the US... basically they have no issues doing business for billions, even if the weapons go in the hands of people that might use those weapons for wrong reasons...and then ironically USA will send its troop to fight wars it has helped to fuel in the first place. This issue is deeper than we think.
The point he's making about Increased Uni fees, Police getting guns etc is that we never used to have to pay for University and the Police don't have guns, we don't need these things but because the US does, our government wants them. Our police don't have Guns, they have tasers.
The NHS began in 1948 which is a publicly funded healthcare system. Which means that healthcare is free for everyone. There was a specific reason why it was started but it’ll take forever to explain. It’s been around for decades and sooooo many people have benefitted from it ofcourse. Especially the lower class. In recent years, the funding for the NHS has been cut. On top of this, the employees of the NHS, such as nurses, have had the wages reduced CONSIDERABLY. Also, there has been a large discussion of privatising the NHS. Which means that there will be no more free healthcare. Which is crazy since it’s been free for 70+ years. Although it has not yet been privatised, we still think the it’s completely unfair for the wages to be reduced and for funding to also be reduced.
The NHS is brilliant. For Americans to think free health care means worse care from the health service is wrong. I beleieve thats what you have been taught to make you keep paying for health
We would love to have free healthcare. At the moment it costs $400 USD minimum per person per month. Even if you don’t go to the doctor at all. And plus high deductibles and copays. For this reason we haven’t had health care in years. Only way to get it cheaper is to get a day job where your employer provides it at a discounted rate. Unfortunately, i think on this side of the pond it would become extremely corrupt and the care would be abysmal
@@BradAndLex Im not saying you're wrong but thats crazy to think they would use peoples health against you in America if it were to be free. Thought America was all about "Freedom"

Interestingly, I always thought it was strange that Dave didn't get right behind Corbyn in this track. Dave comes across pretty leftist. It turns out that his father (a pentecostal pastor) was deported by a labour foreign secretary (Jack Straw) in 1998. At the time, we had a more centrist Labour government. Many on the left despise Tony Blair (the then prime minister) and his cabinet for continuing right wing policies, privatising massive chunks of our public sector and taking us in to unnecessary wars in the middle-east. As it happens, Dave has very founded and personal reasons for not trusting the Labour party . His family's issues are a huge example of damage Blairism did.
NHS gets plenty of funding. The funds are not the problem, the problem is the management of the money. NHS is managed like shit, they could save so much money if they had someone who actually knew what they are doing, but the bureaucracy is ridiculous so many not fit people working and allocating funds when they have no idea what they are doing. For example NHS signs long contracts with companies to supply equipment, where they could sign shorter contracts and not be committed to same company for 20 years and look for cheaper deals.
The quality of healthcare here is brilliant and it’s all free. However, govt are restricting funding & privatising it. So medical professionals in the NHS are over worked so they are suffering. Despite this, their care is second to none 👍🏻
Loved the reaction and was interesting to see an American point of view..but as bad as the NHS is, it is still ranked top 3 in the world on many charts. The American system on the other hand is just pure greed and inhumane. Oh and for the Palestine bit, it's kind of like how the US was initially allied with Apartheid South Africa but was forced to change alligancies. Same situation with Palestine. How can the US help Saudi Arabia a despicable human rights abuser yet ignore children dying from Cholera in Palestine
In our defence, the government takes a special deduction from our salaries called national insurance out of our salaries for the NHS, technically we pay it but still they’ve done a poor job managing the money to make it work
American ignorance in a nutshell right there. They defended the part about why America won’t help Palestine and completely brushed over the part about America trading off guns to Saudi Arabia 🙄
I 100% back the uk policy on guns, we shouldn’t legalise guns and I think the police do need to carry guns, but we have specialist forces in the police where if you get a call saying someone has a gun, anywhere in London the armed police will be there in less than 6 minutes which is crazy! 6 minutes to get from A to B 🤯
Question time is a regular show on UK tv where there is a panel of politicians (different every week) and they are asked questions by the host and mostly the by the public live audience. “fuel for the fire is what we gave to them and what we take from them “ We feed their hatred and steal their oil.

When u guys talk about the press/media and their influence on topics such as politics. Search the Smith Mundt Act (I think that's how u spell it). Mind blowing
Wowww, im reading about it now trying to understand it. It sounds like legislation that makes propaganda legal? I figured we had it buried somewhere in the legal system, just seems like every country has its own propaganda. But maybe this explains why many Americans have such a hard time considering issues around the world outside of the US perspective we’re taught in schools?
Good shout about Zimbardos prison experiment, also worth chatting about the idea that if someone feels that they're free from agency they'll pull a trigger, Milgram etc. There are guns in the UK and if you want one you can get your hands on one but they're not common apart from in serious crime. So the idea that every day police need weapons, which I think what dave is suggesting, is not a good idea at all as I'm sure you well know living in the US uncertainty leads to people shooting each other.
Why would you help out with ur allies enemy fair enough but when you find out what’s happening in Palestine it’s morally right to help regardless if they’re “enemies”

I gotta quash this myth that the NHS in the U.K. is free.... if you make tax or national insurance contributions then ur essentially paying for the NHS, so it ain't free!! And as much as I commend the service, the governing bodies, investors, partners only care about making a profit, so you get the bare minimum service, until they exhaust all of the cheap solutions and u r either put on respite or they finally get round to surgery and by that point it's probably too late. It's based on the Allopathic system, so u can't expect anything else really. And let me iterate I am not showing ungratefulness towards the NHS, just pointing out that it follows a particular business model that ain't here to heal us, just to make a profit from ur illness.

You should react to Berna - Mad About Bars. There's so much word play in there and it'd be great to see how much you pick up on.
In our defence, the government takes a special deduction from our salaries called national insurance out of our salaries for the NHS, technically we pay it but still they’ve done a poor job managing the money to make it work
Thanks guys, cleaned my flat listening to you 😂
Most police don't carry guns here.......and most criminals don't too.
On ramen noodles point. Im a single mum in the uk...ive hone without food so my kids can eat.
Question time is a regular show on UK tv where there is a panel of politicians (different every week) and they are asked questions by the host and mostly the by the public live audience.
“fuel for the fire is what we gave to them and what we take from them “
We feed their hatred and steal their oil.
Printing more cash isn’t a good thing as it dilutes the value of the money you already have.
There are a small amount of guns in UK. Majority of UK police to not have guns. Elite police squads and anti terrorist have guns
LA Leekers Freestyle by Dave
or "Location" to lighten things up
or "6 Paths" to be confused until you know the references, but blown away by the connections he makes that few even get!
y'all are so informed and so cute!
Had to sub really loving these videos
Thank you!! Tough subject but we tried lol
Jeremy Corbyn a real one. Frfr. But no he didnt truly have the party with him. He had the people. Especially the youth. Hes fucking awesome. The press hated him. Hatedddd him. Because he was proper Labour. Not these tories in red.
Dave fire in the booth !!
The politics in the UK is CRAZZZZYYYYYYY
I think the day we don't need oil anymore countries like Saudi Arabia will get a rude wake up call, that's why we are all trying to go electric
Politics is always a touchy subject and every point was on.
Not sure about that, but they did well.
@@Jonkeldo I meant Dave's lyrics
It’s not our lane, but we tried 😆🤷🏽♀️🙏🏽
@@BradAndLex your reaction was on!
Dave gat A1 in english language no doubt innit shout out from Paris.
I love your reactions you 2 are real 👊 if I’m ever in the USA in the future I would love to hit you up for a pint 🍺

I have no clue what's going on in Palestine tbh

Have seen Dave’s “black”? Would like to see you guys react to it... 😉
Guns can be bought illegally over here, I believe if you have land like a farm you can get a permit to own a shotgun to defend your land.
NHS could be better but is still as good as anything in the world. Wouldn't swap it for any other system.
That's good to hear 💯

Thats how i imagine it would go if we were to have something similar.
Please react Thiago silva with Alex live at Glastonbury
