True. I’m honestly jealous. No deals like that where I’m from. I buy bulk lots all the time and usually it’s about 10 US dollars per 1000 cards. This was definitely a steal.
im not shure i could call that trash regardless just because that's less then a penny per card if you tried to buy that many from a site or store without setting up a deal you would be shelling out at least a penny a land around 10 cents a common, for the uncommons, rares, between 1-5 dollars on average, and mythics 5+ and thats not even getting into the actual cards
While this is true, it is never that simple. It takes an enormous amount of time to sell this many cards, and that is not including shipping costs if you become an online vendor. It just isn't worth it to sell those cards that are only a few cents, which is why we see so many bulk postings for dirt cheap.
the cost of selling these cards are just not worth it, you'd be making a loss for every card you sell, even if you sell it for 0.1 each which implies a more than 10x return. Just thinking of cataloging and organizing these cards for sale (online or LGS) will cost a fortune.
So many people buy bulk (unsorted, non-machined) for ~$6 /1000. That's easily worth this buy. Once you get sick of looking through for >$1 cards, or buylistables, then you just dump the rest for more than you paid. Easy
I bought some random bullk cards from ebay. My friend and I will play games with them, and honestly, it's the best way to play MTG. We each will have 1 hour to build our decks without lands, then you can't add or remove any cards after that hour, then add your lands and go at it. Both of us are choosing cards from the same boxes, so it's an even playing field. I prefer playing MTG this way, because it's not about who has the best cards, or who looked up the best strategies. Definitely worth it.
My local game store does this thing where they sell out all their bulk in these mystery boxes. I know it's mostly trash, but sometimes they do put some cool gems in them. My dream is to one day take three or four bulk boxes and try to have a tournament with them with friends. be like "yeah idk what's in here either, let's just slap some stuff together and see how it goes." Looking forward to future videos
