this brings me back to the early 50's when I attended the Vegh quartet's concert of the last 3 Beethoven quartet's at the Ritz Carlton in Montreal what was for me a great introduction to Beethoven's quartet's which I have heard by many different ensembles but never surpassed Vegh's standards.
This is a thrill to find...I studied with Eva Janzer at Indiana University pre-college and college back in the 70s for 4 years. Why isn't her name even mentioned? She was an outstanding player and teacher on a par with the greatest cello professors of her day. She died sadly at a young age of cancer.
