The scenes when Kevin's mom arrives home and they hug and when Marley finally hugs his granddaughter cause Kevin told him to call his son, should've been included.
Lavender Alexandra 1D Watchmojo said that they were only listening iconic and funny moments from the movies. Since this scene is neither, it doesn’t belong on the list.
+Kyle Williams It is a very underrated sequel - "Home Alone" is a rare case of dilogy (let's count other sequels as alternate timeline) which is actually identically great both times. And I really like Kevin's motivation in the sequel.
My favorite booby trap was from Home Alone 2 when yet again Harry has his head set on fire. Harry starts panicking like anybody would if their head was on fire and notices a toilet that he decides Is the perfect thing to stick his burning head into. Harry flips himself up on the toilet and starts lowering his head into what he thinks is water and right before his burning head touches the liquid, the camera switches to an outside view of the building and then boom, an explosion that lights up the entire building lol.
Oh, I remember that. Hahaha! The toilet had gas on it. XD But my favorite booby trap on Home Alone 2 was actually all of the booby traps, especially the part when the pigeon lady smashed the birds' food on Marv and Harry at the Central Park. XD
One of my favourites is from number 2, when Marv gets electrocuted by the taps. The sheer unrealism of it when it shows his skeleton, it's just so funny and even more so because it was on purpose! But I also love the part in number 1 when Marv steps on the Christmas decorations, and he just yells "I'M GONNA KILL THAT KID!" You can hear the frustration in his voice.
My favourite is in # 2 when after Marv gets electrocuted, his hair afros up and then he gets some sac of powder on him then he hurts this back. After all this it makes him look like Elvis ahaha
My favorite scene of all time has to be the after shave scream. The funny part is, he does it a second time, clearly forgetting the pain from the first time X3 I also love the "I made my family disappear... *sly eyebrow face* Then in the second it was "Mom's in Florida...and I'm in New York..." *same look from the first movie*
KEVIN! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MY ROOM?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!‽ KEVIN! YOU SPENT NINE HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ON ROOM SERVICE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽
In the first movie, Kevin is 8 years old. In the second movie, he's 10 years old. But, everything mentioned in the second movie that refers to something from the first movie says it happened last year. That's a movie mistake. How could Kevin be 8 years old, and then 10 years old the next year? Thumbs up if you noticed that.
marlon clark That's true, but read my comment carefully. It said "Everything mentioned in the second movie that refers to something from the first movie said it happened LAST YEAR". Remember? In the first film, Kevin is 8. In the second film, Kevin is 10. If Kevin is 10 in the second film, how could he have been 8 last year?
+Yasser Ahmed Uncle Frank and his wife are BIGGER idiot, especially the way Frank is towards Kevin and how they let their son drink lots of soda despite their kid having a bed wetting problem
Home Alone Ratings: Home Alone 1 - Classic. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York - Great Sequel. Home Alone 3 - Ok. Home Alone 4 - Bad Reboot! Home Alone 5 - *Stop it!*
+Jack Ward IDK what you guys are talking about, it went from "I like big butts" to number 1......I may have had a seizure and blacked out in between though because I only remember there ever being a home alone 1 and 2.
12:36 What's more amazing is that (as far as we know) no one other than Kevin, Harry, and Marv (and technically Mr Duncan since he had his window broken when Kevin tried to get the bandits away from his hospital donations) knows about it.
Hey, watchmojo.com ....I honestly thought that the "Church Advice" scene, along with the old man reconciling with his family at the end, was going to get the top spot. It's all about love and the family. Plus, the reconciliation scene gets me crying in heartwarming love every time; it's what we all want during the holidays....being at home with the family. Now while I admit that it IS the booby traps that make the movies (they're hilarious in all ways), I just think that the true heart of it all is family, no matter how annoying they get sometimes. Just me talking...... One last thing.....where did the New York Philharmonic scene in "Lost In New York" rank in your minds? It's adds a nice layer of class to the movie....plus, where else can you find a better classical rendition of the carol? Yes, I know the scene was really brief (too brief, honestly), but it had to bring a fresh air of class to the great sequel. What are your thoughts on that?
Home Alone 1: Best Plot Home Alone 2: Best personality of characters Home Alone 3: Best Traps Home Alone 4: Best at being the worst Home Alone 5: Haven’t watched it... so...
"That was the sound of a tool chest, falling down the stairs." "What kind of idiots do you have working here?!" "The finest in New York!" And Marv getting electrocuted in the 2nd one.
At 10:14, fun fact that not only the cutout of Michael Jordan is in Home Alone, Jordan himself also appeared in a McDonald's commercial in 1990 where Daiana Campeanu (who played Sondra in Home Alone) was there too. What a coincidence.
Home Alone will always be my favorite Christmas movie of all time. The sequel is fun not nothing compares to the original classic. BTW, I saw this movie when I was 8 in that year. I love it.
2:38-2:44 agreed. What buzz did was a definite strike below the belt 12:36-12:44 for that first part, not to mention they didn’t have RUclips back then. So the fact that Kevin put those together himself using only his brain and objects in the house, the kid is clever
Very interesting. And yes, I agree, the booby trap scenes from both the first and second Home Alones sure deserved to get rated #1. And here's an interesting trivial fact: the paperback book based on original Home Alone was adapted slighly-Kevin creates his fake Xmas party by using two of his mother's mannequins, decorating one with his mom's clothes, the other with his dad's clothes, and also uses his brother Jeff's "laugh box",while he plays piano LOUSILY,no less(he ties the two mannequins to his ankles, just as he does with some of them in the movie), and another minor adaption made for the book-on Xmas Eve,just as he's about to start eating his microwave dinner of macaroni and cheese,he's suddenly stopped by the sound of a church bell striking 9 pm,and not the grandfather clock. And still another small change in the book-his first night at home alone,he (accidentally) scares Marv and Harry away,by turning on all the lights in the house(including the cellar light, where Harry and Marv are, after they commit breaking and entering; in the book,he does not know that there is a pair of burglars planning to rob his house),and they bug out of there, with Marv telling Harry,"I thought you said they were going away for Xmas!" whereas in the movie,as everyone knows,Kevin is dozing in the den when he is suddenly awakened by the sound of footsteps, and quickly turns on the cellar door, porch light,as Harry and Marv try to jimmy it open. Just thought I'd point all that out-small adaptations are usually made for books based on movies,in certain scenes from the movie.
Amazing how Kevin can make the VCR stop exactly where he wanted it to w/o having to over or undershoot the exact scene. To do so would give away the ruse.

Home Alone 6: Kevin must make a "touch" choice. Marv and Harry escape from prison (again) and capture Buzz and Uncle Frank. Harry holds a gun to their heads and makes Kevin choose which one lives and which one dies. It would have 3 different endings: 1. Harry shoots Buzz. 2. Harry shoots Uncle Frank. 3. Harry kills them both.
I really get why #1 was #1... but I thought it was gonna be all of the reunion scenes across the 2 movies. Also, the old man getting together with his family- George in Seinfeld getting all teary over that makes it a classic scene in itself. Mine was on HM2 when Marv slid off the green paint and directly hit the paint rack and buckets of paint fell on him. Lol. And after he got drenched with paint, he got electric shocked and almost turned into a skeleton while screaming. His scream gets me every time. XD
One thing that I never understood was how Marv was even walking after breaking the bulbs, in reality you'd be sitting there picking glass shards out of your feet.
loved watching this as a kid never had i actually nearly pissed myself out of laughter, when the bad guy ate getting mugged off by the kid was just everything.
How about the traps from Home Alone 3? My favorite scene in which I call Double shock, Jernigan sees a web of yarn with a homemade sign saying 'Danger, Electrical Energy and dismisses it, at the same time Unger sat in a makeshift electric chair, a metal chair wired to a car battery, Jernigan tries to cut the yarn only to find it wired and he gets a shock of his life.
I'm glad the "aftershave scene" made this list. The one where Kevin puts on the stuff and screams loudly after doing so. Tend to do the thing with the aftershave myself now and then after doing some shaving just to get a laugh out of it. My mom and older sister get a laugh out of it too.
For me #1 will always be Home Alone's ending where Marley is reunited with his family. I'm a sucker for the heart warming endings to a Christmas movie.
Kinda sad that Kevin and Pigeon Lady made a friendship gift those doves. But we never saw them again together because there is no real Home Alone 3 that followd Kevin

and 4th and 5th one, you'll get colon cancer for the amount of shit those movies are.
There was also a fourth movie. DON'T LOOK IT UP.
+ICEGOD2 yes there is also a 4 home alone movie.
+eujeny4ever it's worse than Twilight
loved watching this as a kid never had i actually nearly pissed myself out of laughter, when the bad guy ate getting mugged off by the kid was just everything.
Buzz: get a plate.
Kevin: ok here is your plate now let me eat your throw up
Jeff: you want mine
Kevin: ok give it
Every fucking Christmas..
it was going 2 days ago
The Brick Scene will forever be my favorite i died of laughter watching it
Ah yes, Macaulay Culkin. The God of childhood actors.
My favorite line from HA, “Don’t you know a kid always wins against two idiots?”
The one where he gets electricity 😂😂
I'm glad the "aftershave scene" made this list. The one where Kevin puts on the stuff and screams loudly after doing so. Tend to do the thing with the aftershave myself now and then after doing some shaving just to get a laugh out of it. My mom and older sister get a laugh out of it too.
Who's watching Home Alone right now?
I love how all of them came from the first two and the ones after that only appeared in the honorable mentions once at most.
The traps are my favorite thing on Home Alone movies. Those dumb criminals never learn. I always laugh when Marv gets bricks thrown on his face 😆
For me #1 will always be Home Alone's ending where Marley is reunited with his family. I'm a sucker for the heart warming endings to a Christmas movie.
XD I love this Movie my favorite parts are always the traps (plus the part where he gave the guy gum XD)
Damn dat Pigeon Lady is awesome though
even better was when he said no to the actual tip
Nihilego UB-01 kal
Kinda sad that Kevin and Pigeon Lady made a friendship gift those doves. But we never saw them again together because there is no real Home Alone 3 that followd Kevin
