I think Jim Carrey is done being fake. If he feels it, then he shows up. If he feels like it is BS, then he doesn't. That is what I take from him being "done" with Hollywood. He is just done being this forced thing with a ton of expectation. I can respect it. His persona was always the same. And I think he loved that persona, but being it 100% of the time must make it a burden. Now he gets to be it in these movies, but also be other stuff the rest of the time. Again, I can respect it. That is fair.
On the Sonic The Hedgehog RUclips Channel they have a video called "Shadow 101: A Brief History of Shadow the Hedgehog". It's just 3 minutes and it perfectly explains all you need to know about Shadow.
They keep teasing us with Live and Learn in the background, that it needs to be played in the film, because if now I'm going to be so mad. Also seems to be changing some parts of the story as Gerald is alive in the story, making me wonder who the final villain is going to be, as it could still be the Bio-Lizard, or they might confirm the rumor that it could be Metal Sonic as the villain to fight at the end.
I feel the backstory video wasn’t a very good representation of shadows backstory, they made it a lot more confusing than it needed to be by skipping the most crucial part of his story and merging it with the whole alien invasion thing which didn’t happen until WAY later on, though if they did go into the parts they skipped it would have very much delved into spoilers 🤣
A main problem with the video being he tried to fit Shadow's backstory in a two-minute video. That's just not enough time to cover his backstory so the video's information was super crunched like how it doesn't spend much time at all going into the whole alien thing. I think On My Mind (sorry I don't remember his name) just wanted a quick rundown on his backstory, which I understand since he's not super familiar with the material.
@@nicholas2153 yeah definitely, just as a sonic fan it kinda hurt seeing someone’s first impression of shadows incredible backstory be from a video that didn’t do it any justice at all xD and yeah part of that feels like it’s because of how little time they spend explaining the alien thing, makes it come off as confusing and convoluted
This movie will be IMMACULATE!!! IT'S on point with the game. I'm just very interested to see how Gerald is still alive after all this time, because in the game G.U.N took him to their headquaters to get some more Information out of him and then assassinated him. So i'm VERY EXCITED TO SEE WHAT KIND OF TWIST THEY PULL UP THEIR SLEEVE!!🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
I've never played a Sonic game nor wanted to. I had no intentions of watching the first Sonic movie until the director actually listened to the fans. I decided to support the franchise, and I will see this film as well. If listening to people can actually garner support from nonfans, imagine what could be accomplished if people listened to the fanbase of a franchise.
I think some of it might be because in the trailer, Sonic says, “We got a rouge *alien* on the loose. How do we find him?” At that point in the movie, they know Shadow’s an alien, so I believe some stuff about the whole alien storyline might be in the movie
Not really, they have very surface level similarities like having golden forms, being overly serious, having a rivalry with the protagonist of the story. Their motivations are vastly different with Vegeta's primarily being to become the strongest/overcome Goku. Shadow's motivation has a lot less to do with Sonic by comparison, it's Moreso about his past, about Maria's wish and other similar things. You could point out the whole redemption thing except Shadow doesn't really have a redemption arc, he realizes he was doing wrong and soon after loses his memories. Vegeta's arc was much more straightforward thought it didn't really bear fruit until the tail end of the Cell saga and the middle of the Buu arc.

I believe Shadow is fast on his own and can teleport. He is the ultimate life form, so it makes sense he would have some advantages

If you ever decide to play the games play Sonic Adventure 2, it’s one of the most critically acclaimed games and it introduced Shadow
I may go see that 1
if mike would watch the live video it will be a live vortex
The stuff about the aliens won’t be in the movie most likely so no spoilers revealed on that part.

Day 1 of asking Mike to also react to the Cyanide and Happiness compilations.

If you know Vegeta of DBZ, you’ll know Shadow
