Carl & Ellie's relationship is one of the most wholesome & healthy relationship in animation. They understand & care about each other. Even after Ellie passes (still makes me reach for the tissues) Carl is still so dedicated to her And Wall-E & Eve is also a beautiful romantic relationship because as the story processes we don't really care to much about the people but we care about what happens between these two adorable little robots
The fact he calls a cockroach a cricket tells me he never even saw the movie. I mean he even got the plot wrong. Eev wasn't on a search and destroy mission! If she was she would of destroyed it right there. She was supposed to find plant life to show Earth is safe for humanity to return home.
Loud house relationships healthy to toxic- Healthy😇: Bobby & Laurie Good😁: Clyde & Lincoln Average😟: R.A. & Lincoln Bad🤬: Carol & Laurie Toxic😈: Angus & Morag
I honestly didn't think Luca and Giulia would be considered romantic. Edit WOW! I would say I didn't expect this many people who agree with me, but I would be lying.
I honestly saw the whole thing as platonic friendship. I can see that fans can interpret it different ways, but I just preferred that for once mainstream didn’t go boy+girl= romance.
I don't think that Luca could really be romantic in anyway just because they're kids. I think its incredibly healthy and great friendship between all three
While it may feel like a surprise to many people that Mikelia would be treated as a(n only) toxic couple on the list, this indeed shows how underhated he really is. Probably because of Mike’s misogyny including a (probable) list of ex-girlfriends (I wouldn’t even be surprised if he even had Mrs. Tuskmon in Monsters at Work as either an ex-girlfriend or an ex-wife before she had Tylor with Bernard) he treated like objects he could cheat on, lie to and forget dates of instead of people to love beyond their looks, so with that said, not only could he be a toxic friend to Sulley and Boo, but because he’s a highly undermentioned incel (probably because of the good reputation the media inflicted on him for two decades), he could also treat Celia like a prize to be one over and lie to so he could lose her. Thank God he changed his ways int he third act and was likeable everywhere else (Monsters University and most of Monsters at Work), because the world certainly doesn’t need characters we’re supposed to like that have hero complex/nice guy syndrome.
Hate to say it, but is it bad I actually always liked Randall more than Mike as a kid? I mean, don't get me wrong, I found him incredibly funny with how he'd get mad or do something by accident, but personality wise, I just always preferred Randall. Mike goes and gloats about how he's the best and will beat Randall, Randall just says things will be done and that he already is the best while keeping an alternate secret motive. If their roles had been reversed and Mike was the bad guy, Mike would've most certainly given his evil plans away by gloatng about them. Mike was just so about himself for most of the film, he would talk about himself to the point where Sully even was visibly annoyed. Randall mocking and teasing Mike I would say is not so much mean, its kind of what Mike deserves. Randall was showing Mike that his little self-gloating talk doesn't get under his skin.
@@torytellstalesmike’s boasting and bragging is obviously a defense mechanism for how small he is. He isn’t the biggest monster, or the scariest monster, which is the shinning status every monster wants. Mike doesn’t have anything else going for him so he has to brag and boast about how smart he is. He’s self conscious about his height and the only way he sees he’s of value is by boasting about it. It’s kind of sad really.
It could have been worse, in the commentary they said they originally had an idea for Celia's home to be filled with the statues of her old boyfriends that she'd turned to stone.
Carl and Ellie are the only Pixar couples that ever have a beautiful relationship with each other. They are the true definition of a perfect relationship and what love truly is. Imo. They are my only favorite Pixar couples.
I 💯% disagree. Not on them as a couple, but on them being the ‘only’ one to ever have a beautiful relationship. There is Wall-e and Eve, Bob and Helen Parr and Hector and Imelda, all of whom are also beautiful relationships. I really don’t know where you are coming from.
@@captainhowlerwilson508 Right. But judging the ones who had a closer relationship since childhood, Carl and Ellie are the ones who knew each other since they were children and had a deep committed to be friends and go to paradise falls together(they even cross each other's hearts). Even when they were seniors, Carl still kept his promise to Ellie to take her to paradise falls even though she died. He was still committed to take him and her to paradise falls--no matter what--now that's a beautiful relationship and a commitment no other couples could ever make.
I'm sorry, but when was Eve ever trying to destroy the plant? Her directive was to retrieve the plant so it could be placed in the Axiom so the human race can return to Earth.
Actually her main (and hidden) purpose was to find the plant only in order for it to be destroyed. Yea her directive was to "bring back the plant so humans can return to live on Earth". However think about it: who sent Eve to Earth? AUTO, the guy literally controls the whole ship and keeps it functional. Why would AUTO want to find evidence of life on Earth? So he can destroy them ofc and eternally prevent the return of humanity to Earth (cuz of the secret A113 directive)
They got Eve’s directive wrong, she’s a scout unit designed to find signs of life returning to Earth so that the Axiom could return. Directive A113 is a classified directive ordering that the Axiom never returns.
“ Luca and Julia are children.” That is the key sentence! They are children. Throughout the movie I never got the impression that they were romantically involved. They should not be on this list. Period!
My view on Syndrage (of Syndrome and Mirage were boyfriend and girlfriend, or husband and wife, which both of them are highly doubtable, especially the latter): Mirage: Honey, you’re gonna be late for my date! Syndrome: *proves he already has a girlfriend which causes Mirage to feel adulterated*
Missed the Potato Heads and Ken x Barbie! There's a ton of Pixar parents omitted as well, but that's fine -- just those two are interesting because both are debatable where they should land. Potato Heads love each other but bicker all the time. Ken x Barbie start out explicitly toxic, but shift by the end of the movie.
Wall-E was easily my favorite Disney movie, and Wall-E and Eve were just absolutely heartwarming. I can say, without a doubt, the best time period of Disney or Pixar was 1990-2008.
A lot of the time, WickedBinge can be very credible about what they’re talking about. But here, they have a few major aspects they needed to improve on, including the top comments pointing out that Luca and Julia had a platonic relationship because they were both in their early teens.
THANK YOU I’ve been scrolling to find this, this was annoying the crap out of me. How could they mess up something this clearly said in the movie multiple times?
Carl and Ellie being #1 for healthy was a no brainer. It's usually the nice elderly couples who probably had the best married relationships and/or probably the best people to ask for advice when it comes to loving relationships. That, and they loved each other from the very beginning, supported each other through the darkest of times, and there was no any shown drama between them.
Coco is my favorite Pixar movie! When it comes to Héctor and Imelda's relationship, I think that they have one problem in common with Linguini and Colette's relationship. Since Miguel is the main character instead of one or both of them, that automatically means that their relationship isn't going to get as much screen time. There's also the fact that since the movie has a one year time skip between Miguel's return to the Land of the Living and the confirmation that they have reconciled, we never see that reconciliation played out on screen. Oh well, I guess that's what fanfiction is for.
@@sophieamandaleitontoomey9343 I’m glad she did too. It definitely helped that she learned that he was murdered trying to come home, that he still apologized for leaving in the first place, and that they had plenty of time to talk things out.
I'm glad I gave that movie a watch last year. I tend to avoid watching movies these days even before the pandemic struck, but damn that ending will always have me in tears
@@coffeebean8790 "You never came home!" "Sorry, I was murdered!" ".... Okay, that's a preeeeetty good excuse." I think it's in the right place though, as despite Hector's repentance, he DID abandon his family. I like that the movie doesn't change this: he still did the thing, he just legitimately regrets it and has grown since then. The relationship has been both healthy and toxic at different points in time.
The stretch made between Luca and Julia's platonic friendship to romance is not only hilariously heteronormative, but also grasping at straws. There was no hint at romance between the two kids (all the people claiming they can't have crushes at that age but have no problems with Carl and Ellie from Up are hypocrites), they were just being friends, friends can compliment each other and you share interests and help each other. I would say all 3 kids are just friends, even though Alberto and Luca's relationship has a lot of queer coding they can easily just be two boys who have a strong platonic bond too. Not everything has to be romance just because two people get along.
I agree! I also was wondering if Mater and the purple car were even supposed to be romantic in Cars 2. I haven't seen that movie in a long time so I can't remember.
@@zonebro6205 A lot of ignorant people, who haven't watched the Toy Story movies in years (or at all), and just assumes they're a couple because "They're both a cowboy/girl, so must be a couple". Here’s what I think of these couples. Mr. & Mrs. Carl & Ellie Fredericksen🥇 WALL•E & EVE 🥇(can’t wait for them to have a daughter known as EVE Jr. or maybe “NEVE”) Luca & Julia ❌ (they’re just friends, if anyone even feels the need to envision them together as a couple, then they’ll have to wait until, say, the post-1950s when they’re adults) Woody & Bo Peep ❌ (never been a Bo Peep guy but I do love Woody and think that even if Pixar made “Pride” (yes, that is Woody’s last name), then it would (or at least should) turn out to not be the disappointment Lightyear turned out to be) Buzz Lightyear & Jessie ✅ (ngl, I prefer Jessie and pretty much every other Toy Story character over Bo Peep, everyone from Toy Story 4 (except for Gabbie Gabbie, Duke Caboom and Bunny & Ducky, those guys are at least interesting, credit where credit is due to TS4) and Lightyear) Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible & Helen Parr/Elastigirl/Mrs. Incredible: ✅ in 1 & ❌ in 2 (it would have been an incredible duology of the sequel weren’t so sexist to Bob Parr! Btw, I respect your opinion if you like Incredibles 2, but I LOVE the original!) Marlin & Coral ✅ However, their romance really isn’t the main focus of the movie. It’s how heartfelt and amazingly animated (except for the humans (Darla Sherman is adorable), but then again, this is an early 2000s CGI film) Lightning McQueen & Sally Carrera 🥈 Violet Part & Tony Rydinger ❌ (the idea of Violet having a crush on Tony was a lot more naturally handled in the original. In the sequel, however, they pretty much flanderized her her a boy-crazy stereotype of teenage women. She’s just lucky Tony was nice enough to decide to remember her dates even though romance isn’t his big focus in life.) Alfredo Linguini & Colette Tatou: Just got better by time. Tow Mater and Holley Shiftwell: Run before the bad man abuses you! - Todd in the Shadows to Holley about Mater Hector & Imelda: Great movie, but the couple really should have been worked out a century ago. Flik & Princess Atta: Atta girl… as a platonic couple. Mike & Celia: Imagine the slaps from Archie Sonic Comics issues 134 (Sally to Sonic) & 172 (Fiona to Tails, which, btw, was a lot more called for to prove how much of a toxic girlfriend Fiona Fox really was) and how hard the slaps there were compared to the slap Celia gave Mike Wazowski. Well, I think she slapped his huge round face *way* too gently because Mike really was flanderized to begin with even though he never was anywhere else!
I don’t think mike and Celia’s relationship was considered toxic because spouses do lie to each other sometimes about small things like if a husband asks how the others day was their wife could respond with “good”even though it was a terrible day and mike was trying to protect Celia from the backlash of knowing anything about Boo. And Celia had every right to be pissed because she didn’t know anything about mike having the Boo so to her it just looked like he left her alone and plus when she was confronting him she had a cone on her head so I would be pissed too
EVE wasn't on a mission to destroy life on earth, she was on a mission to find and preserve life so humans can go back to earth. AUTO wanted to destroy the plant. Giulia and Luca didn't really have a romantic relationship, it was more platonic like friends or siblings. Amelda was Miguel's Great Great grandmother not aunt.
*"McQueen and Sally parked beneath a tree! K-I-S-S somthin' somthin' T!"* I'm going to be honest. I needed this video since I have a hardcore love for Pixar couples! They are all so cute together! Wall-E and Eve, Mike and Celia, Carl and Ellie, and of course my favorite! ☆ *SalQueen* ☆ ♡ I wish the film's would focus more on their relationship since they have had so much growth together as a couple. Lightning listened to Sally's desires of because of her personality changing his head around. She also comforted him after his accident and gave him some willing advice. They listen to each other, they know what each other wants and helps them achieve it. So sweet.
Lightning and Sally’s relationship is mostly explored and expanded through video games, comic books, and shorts like Cars Toons: Tales from Radiator Springs.
i feel like a lot of these are debatable on not being sidekicks, i personally thought mike was the mc over sully, but i can see why other people would think the opposite.
I would put Violet and Tony's relationship at the very bottom of the healthy, and I wouldn't classify Mike and Celia's relationship as toxic, but otherwise, I agree with your list.
I would have put bob and Helen parr for 3RD place there realistic and bob confessing to being scared that he’s not strong enough to protect her and there kids is just amazing
Luca x guila ? I like Luca x Alberto but that is not why I feel this is wrong. She isn’t interested in him as more than a friend she is more like a sibling than anything your reasoning for them was more so found in Alberto who sold his dream to give Luca his. And was the one who encouraged him to leave the sea to begin with…
In my extremely religious country they tried to put both Male voice actors for wal_e and eve but guess what IT BECAME THE BEST SHIP I'VE EVER SEEN and even after they changed the voice actor for eve for her to have female voice but I still liked the original ones.... I think it was super cute
With Mater and Holley in the end Holley decides to keep a dent that she got rescuing Mater inplying that she now understands the importants of dents to Mater. She outright calls herself Maters girfriend and althoug she and Finn are leaving she makes it clear that she considers Mater charming and that she still owes him a proper first date. She even respects his bounderies enough not to force him on a mission where they could spend more time together because he has made it clear that radiator springs is his home and that he isn't a spy wich is pretty wholesome. In the third movie she isn't seen Mater says that he is getting wedding flaps that implies that he is getting married. It would be more logicall for him to get married to Holley than some random car we have never met. I think that Maters and Holleys relationship is just begining but that it does grow and that they are more stabel than given credit for.
Mike was actually going to tell Celia about the paperwork but Sully was the one who said it was his paperwork to file so that part is on Sully. He also lied about Boo to protect Celia from the CDA and the aftermath that followed. Yes it backfired but that wasn't his intention. So it's not very toxic especially when you consider after Celia found out he wasn't lying about Boo or Randall, told everyone Randall broke the record to buy Mike time.
Okay. I cannot stay quiet about this. HECTOR DID NOT CHOOSE MUSIC OVER HIS FAMILY. In the flashback scene of Hector wanting to return home while Ernesto is pretty much begging him to stay, Hector responds with, "This was your dream. You'll manage." This means that Hector didn't leave his family for music; he left his family for his best friend, to help Ernesto achieve his dreams. As said name states in that same scene, "I can't do this without your songs!" This ultimately led to the reason why Ernesto killed Hector in the first place. That, to me, is more of a reason for Hector to have left and leads to even more tragic realization on Hector's part especially after what happened in his afterlife and how his family felt towards him as a whole in the aftermath.
@@midnightcrystalline6918 It has lgbtq+ subtext. There a lot of RUclips videos about it but some examples are Luca being found out and being sent away (something lgbtq+ youth face), Luca and Alberto wanting to run away from Luca's oppressive parents together, Alberto revealed himself and tried to make Luca also "come out" in a way, they also discuss being different and having to find good people that accept you (a very big thing for lgbtq+ youth). I hope this helped you understand.
@@marinasanders7273 Ok i do understand but I still believe that this movie not about lgbt romance the creator even said it himself. Also,my personal opinion, but why do people ship anyone in this movie they are kids.
@@midnightcrystalline6918 I agree. I just wanted to point out the fact that they do have lgbtq+ subtext, especially because around the age that Luca and the others are in is when many people begin to realize that they are lgbtq+.
I would call Luca n Giulia relationship more friendship than romance myself but they do balance each other n support each other well I agree but I'd say that they still a little bit too emotionally naive to have romantic feelings 4 each other.
Some couples that could've been on this list were the Mantis and Gypsy Moth from a Bugs Life. I don't remember their names, mainly because I haven't seen the movie in years, but I do remember that the two were husband and wife. There's also Dory's parent from Finding Dory, Merida's mother and father from Brave, Miguel Rivera's parents from Coco, Arlo's parents in the Good Dinosaur, Riley's parents from Inside Out and, if we were to include the villainous couples, Syndrome and Mirage would've counted too. And the relationship between Syndrome and Mirage would've the most toxic out of all Pixar's couples.
I hope they do one of Disney Romantic Couples up next from hand-drawn animation! That would be really cool to see. While there are indeed too many of them as it's a long legacy line of films, they ought to focus on the most important ones from the more renowned films. Perhaps Disney Renaissance would be enough.
Carl and Ellie is the perfect display of introvert and extrovert learning to accept eachothers ideas and goals, I'm only 16 but Ellie's death definitely hits hard
Listened to the Up part because Carl and Ellie's long, beautiful relationship made me cry, despite the two have so little screen time together. (Far too little. I'd love a short or two of them together working, or doing something wacky) But then I got to Wall-E and remembered 'Oh wait, this is WickedBinge. They're lazier at fact checking than Watch Mojo.' Calling Wall-E's cockroach a cricket. Fine. If you have bad eyesight, I can maybe see it as a cricket that can't jump, chirp, or be annoying as heck at night. Then you talk about Eve's directive and I nope'd out. I have better ways to waste my time.
4:45 OK I can't let this go. EVE was not on a "Search and Destroy" mission, in fact it was the opposite. She was meant to bring a plant to the Captain to show that Earth was ready to be recolonized. It was AUTO that insisted on destroying the plant to prevent humanity from returning to Earth per Directive A113.
Carl and Ellie's romance is so perfect that its tragic ending breaks the hearts of everyone who sees it despite how little dialogue they have on screen and only being able to see it play out in short bursts.
Buzz and Jesse are probably my favorite couple in the Pixar movies. Even as a kid, I always had strong feelings for them. They are just so cute with each other. 🥰🥰🥰
I always saw hector and Imelda as being healthy if they knew the truth. Her entire problem was that he abandoned their family which is why she hated and avoided him; but in reality hector never abandoned anyone it just appeared that way because he was murdered.
I'd like to think Luca and Giulia would make a cute couple, but lately, I'm starting to lean more toward the Luca and Alberto romantic ship. Frederickson's relationship is hard to beat. But my personal fav here is Woody & Bo.
The creator wanted to do something different with a friendship between a girl and boy having them only be friends which is why it feels odd they added them in this
I love that format so much! Videos like this help me improve my writing skills or just give me insight into how romantic couples are shown in fiction & what I like and dislike about them . This is always so interesting! Big thumbs up & merry early Christmas. 💖
@@WickedBinge EVE's directive was NOT to destroy the plant! Her directive, before changing it to be with WALL-E, was to find proof that there's life on Earth! How could you be this stupid?! (Reply back if you saw this)
Totally called it that Carl and Ellie were #1. Also, I know that tons of people in the comments are saying that Luca and Guilia shouldn't be up there, but I personally think that it's fine.
It’s not because it goes against what the creator wanted out of those two, they wanted to show that sometimes boys and girls can just be friends and show interests and not be romantic
@@kaitomastuda6262 I mean that was mostly a decision forced on by the higher ups who wanted to see more platonic friendships between girls and boys in Disney movies, it wasn't so much pushed by the director. You can watch the deleted scenes if you don't believe me. Plus I see it as Giulia and Luca just have a crush on each other, and they might have a future together, so it's just sweet and innocent
If Mike’s and Celia’s relationship is a toxic one because of lying then I guess I can also go ahead and say that Doug and Carrie’s relationship from King of Queens is also toxic because there’s also a ton of lying involved in that one.
Ok but atta didn’t just start liking him after he saved them, she started liking him after actually spending some time around him while they were making the bird. She just needed some time to know him and see that his inventions didn’t always end in disaster of some sort. Plus she wasn’t as stressed as usual now that they had a plan and could relax a little. Between your description of atta and eve im beginning to think you haven’t watched these movies in years and are going purely based off what you remember and not looking any further into it 🤨
Agreed with a good chunk of the list, even though I think you left out Luca and Alberto, which would've been a bit too abusive as Alberto is jealous of Giulia when she and Luca are together more often. Alberto and Luca even eventually have a cliched falling-out because of it.
I always hated the way Collette treats Linguine. If their genders were reversed their relationships would be counted as the most toxic and abusive relationship and that pretty much shows how society discriminates men by believing that if a woman treats a man poorly its OK while vice versa is not
I don’t think Luca and Gulia were ever established to have some kind of romance or even crushes, they’re friends, and seeing them as a couple says a lot about heteronormativity in our world. Also, Woody and Bo would *not* be that high (well, if you’re counting Toy Story 4 at least) cause in TS4, Bo was just awful to him, she looked down upon him and made fun of him the whole time, with him just being a doormat about it
Please, Total Drama relationships: Healthy to Toxic Healthiest (imo) - Carrie & Devin Healthy - Zoey & Mike Gray Area - Heather & Alejandro Toxic - any relationship that involves Duncan OR Courtney Most Toxic - Stephanie & Ryan
Eh, I feel like Gray Area should be Gwen and Trent or Harold and Leshawna, maybe even Owen and Izzy. Alejandro and Heather would be unhealthy though. They care for each other, but only half of the time, as they are not afraid to yell or hurt each other.
I'm not sure how much I agree with the idea that Mike and Celia's relationship is toxic. Sure, neither are at top form in the film, but A) they were both under a lot of stress, B) communication was throttled by their circumstances, and most importantly C) *they're still a new couple* . There's a lot of rockiness to be expectes at the best of times as the two learn to trust each other and communicate properly, but layer that with a likely-unprecedented catastrophe and what's normally a speed bump turns into an Evel Kineival-style jump ramp over a canyon. Also notice that the *instant* Celia learns what's really going on and that Mike *isn't* just being a jerk, she snaps right back to supporting him, and continues to do so until the end of film, which takes place some time later. Not too hard to believe we just saw a rough patch between them.
Honestly I don't see Julia and Luca in a romantic relationship. I see potential of one possibly developing in the future, but right now it's just a strong friendship. Not every strong boy/girl relationship is romantic. Maybe they will have a romantic relationship in the future, maybe they'll just remain good friends. I'm fine either way, but I do not see them having romance yet. Now I can say that they do have a healthy friendship.
Wow, I didn’t think mike and Celia were toxic. I mean, mike is sometimes pitiful who withholds info from a woman that he described as “the one” and Celia is a bit over dramatic. But I think the word “toxic” is too strong and harsh of a word to use
I knew there was something I didn't like about Celia. Like why the heck did she act mad when Sully came in and sat at the table with Mike and her and ignored the fact that Sully was visibly nervous about something? You would think she'd be more concerned and be like "everything ok?", no she acts agitated and almost seems self centered, I know she's on a date and all, but you'd think she'd show concern for her boyfriend's friend
In my opinion, in the future, if Pixar does a sequel to Luca, in which the characters are ground ups; the relationship between Luca and Alberto would be pretty similar to Carl and Ellies'.
Agreed. It's already been said in a million different places that Disney recieved backlash for intentionally implying they were supposed to be future romantic partners.
@@EternalDarkness94 finally the comment that i was looking for, i swear that when i saw the movie for the first time i felt the connection between them
Toy Story 4 shows that love can come from not just one type of person. Bo shows Woody that kids aren’t the only ones to give love. Toys can give love to each other.
Missing from the list: Mr and Mrs Potato Head (Toy Story franchise) healthy - they are clearly in love and her introduction softened him from his original grumpiness. Mirage and Syndrome (The Incredibles) toxic - he uses her admiration for him to have her aid him, they clearly have difference values of human life, and he is prepared to let Mr Incredible crush her to death. Flo and Ramone (Cars franchise) healthy - their relationship has lasted a long time and they are still loving towards each other. Barbie and Ken (Toy Story 3) grey - they fall in love at first sight and are obviously made for each other, but the whole prison escape and her holding him hostage and stuff is not a great look, though he forgives her and they make up. Queen Ellinor and King Fergus (Brave) healthy - they love each other, even in an arranged marriage, and he is good at encouraging her to communicate with Merida. Mr and Mrs Anderson (Inside Out) healthy - from their brief screen time in focus, they are clearly a stable couple and loving parents, though they have different things in their heads at the time of the film, when they are at their best, they connect well and she gave up a handsome, adventurous Brazilian helicopter pilot for him. Laurel Lightfoot and Colt Bronco (Onward) healthy/grey - they seem to have a good enough connection, but it is hinting to be mostly physical, he tries to connect with one of her sons, but not the other, which is not great. Could mention both Arlo´s parents, Ida and Henry (The Good Dinosaur), and Dory´s parents, Jenny and Charlie (Finding Dory), as being healthy, but too little screen time makes for uninteresting entries. Joke mention: Honey and Lucius/Frozone (The Incredibles) toxic - clearly different priorities and values, and he lies to her about not going bowling.
Eve wasnt on a search and destroy for plant life, if she did, why bringing it to the Axiom just to kill it rather than her just shooting it with her blaster? She was searching for plant life so the ship can bring the people back home, but Auto had the A113 directive and tried getting rid of it. So yeah this guy got it confused
I actually think Woody and Bo in Toy Story 4 is kinda toxic and is part of my problem with that film. Bo spends the whole movie demeaning and belittling Woody and then St the end were supposed to believe he would rather be with her than his lifelong friends. Honestly kind of a depressing ending to me. Just my take though
This video misleads Flik and Atta's relationship. Flik was initially, indirectly and unintentionally, a troublemaker that kept causing problems, which made Atta dismissive and impatient with him. It wasn't until she actually started spending time with him and got to know him that they started bonding. She later shunned him because he lied and misled her and the colony rather than being truthful, but then he redeemed himself. It had nothing to do with his hero status.
okey small thing when you talked about EVE and the plant... you said that EVE had to get the plant so that the plant can be destroyed? uhm... no EVE's mission, was to get the plant, so that the Axiom, has to info that Earth is safe again it was AUTO, who got message from Earth a looong time ago, that says to return to Earth the EVE models, never got updated with that message, otherwise they would never have been send to varries planets, including Earth also about Mike & Celia, we do have the sequel series Monsters at Work
I feel like the Monsters at Work doesn't focus on Mike, Sully, and Celia that much. That is one reason why I really don't like the Monsters at Work series.
4:48 sorry gotta correct you here. Eve’s mission is to find the plant and bring it to the Axcium to bring the human race home. Auto’s conflicting secret directive is to keep them in space in perpetuity. 21:14 “Aunt” Imelda? Seriously? They say over and over that Miguel is looking for his great-great grandfather meaning Imelda is his great-great grandmother.

I didn't expect Mike and Celia to be declared as toxic, but after rewatching Monsters Inc. I can see why.
@@torytellstales Agreed with everything

I'm sorry, but when was Eve ever trying to destroy the plant? Her directive was to retrieve the plant so it could be placed in the Axiom so the human race can return to Earth.
I don’t think this person ever saw the movie. They called the cockroach a cricket
@@kaylawesome2 Clearly they watched the movie on mute or something
Finally someone points this out. She never wanted to destroy life: she was programmed to help try and preserve it.
Yeah, she wasn't. He probably got it confused since Auto is the one who sent her down there to find it.
They got Eve’s directive wrong, she’s a scout unit designed to find signs of life returning to Earth so that the Axiom could return. Directive A113 is a classified directive ordering that the Axiom never returns.

Agreed! Although it's never stated they're in a relationship, I read it that way as well.
They were not romantic at all. I also got the impression that Syndrome used Mirage as a pawn to trap Mr. Incredible.
That is how I viewed it as well.
My view on Syndrage (of Syndrome and Mirage were boyfriend and girlfriend, or husband and wife, which both of them are highly doubtable, especially the latter):
Mirage: Honey, you’re gonna be late for my date!

Ken and Barbie were hilarious to watch xD like the exact opposite of what I expected from Barbie xD

Here’s what I think of these couples.
Mr. & Mrs. Carl & Ellie Fredericksen🥇
WALL•E & EVE 🥇(can’t wait for them to have a daughter known as EVE Jr. or maybe “NEVE”)
Luca & Julia ❌ (they’re just friends, if anyone even feels the need to envision them together as a couple, then they’ll have to wait until, say, the post-1950s when they’re adults)
Woody & Bo Peep ❌ (never been a Bo Peep guy but I do love Woody and think that even if Pixar made “Pride” (yes, that is Woody’s last name), then it would (or at least should) turn out to not be the disappointment Lightyear turned out to be)
Buzz Lightyear & Jessie ✅ (ngl, I prefer Jessie and pretty much every other Toy Story character over Bo Peep, everyone from Toy Story 4 (except for Gabbie Gabbie, Duke Caboom and Bunny & Ducky, those guys are at least interesting, credit where credit is due to TS4) and Lightyear)
Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible & Helen Parr/Elastigirl/Mrs. Incredible: ✅ in 1 & ❌ in 2 (it would have been an incredible duology of the sequel weren’t so sexist to Bob Parr! Btw, I respect your opinion if you like Incredibles 2, but I LOVE the original!)
Marlin & Coral ✅ However, their romance really isn’t the main focus of the movie. It’s how heartfelt and amazingly animated (except for the humans (Darla Sherman is adorable), but then again, this is an early 2000s CGI film)
Lightning McQueen & Sally Carrera 🥈
Violet Part & Tony Rydinger ❌ (the idea of Violet having a crush on Tony was a lot more naturally handled in the original. In the sequel, however, they pretty much flanderized her her a boy-crazy stereotype of teenage women. She’s just lucky Tony was nice enough to decide to remember her dates even though romance isn’t his big focus in life.)
Alfredo Linguini & Colette Tatou: Just got better by time.
Tow Mater and Holley Shiftwell: Run before the bad man abuses you! - Todd in the Shadows to Holley about Mater
Hector & Imelda: Great movie, but the couple really should have been worked out a century ago.

Carl and Ellie, despite the limited screen time and no words being said in the montage, will always be the best love story to me
I don’t think mike and Celia’s relationship was considered toxic because spouses do lie to each other sometimes about small things like if a husband asks how the others day was their wife could respond with “good”even though it was a terrible day and mike was trying to protect Celia from the backlash of knowing anything about Boo. And Celia had every right to be pissed because she didn’t know anything about mike having the Boo so to her it just looked like he left her alone and plus when she was confronting him she had a cone on her head so I would be pissed too
I don’t know about that
That was the longest run on sentence I've ever read
EVE wasn't on a mission to destroy life on earth, she was on a mission to find and preserve life so humans can go back to earth. AUTO wanted to destroy the plant.

Carl and Ellie have the best relationship, no doubt.
I'd imagine my relationship with my girlfriend as Carl and Elie from UP
If Carl and Ellie aren’t the healthiest I’m gonna be disappointed
Edit: Good
Listened to the Up part because Carl and Ellie's long, beautiful relationship made me cry, despite the two have so little screen time together. (Far too little. I'd love a short or two of them together working, or doing something wacky)
But then I got to Wall-E and remembered 'Oh wait, this is WickedBinge. They're lazier at fact checking than Watch Mojo.'
Calling Wall-E's cockroach a cricket.

Agreed with a good chunk of the list, even though I think you left out Luca and Alberto, which would've been a bit too abusive as Alberto is jealous of Giulia when she and Luca are together more often. Alberto and Luca even eventually have a cliched falling-out because of it.
Ice Age Franchise Good to Evil
Most Good: Roshan’s Mother
Neutral: Scrat
Most Evil: Captain Gutt
Who is roshan?
@@blakechow8294 the baby in the 1st movie
I always hated the way Collette treats Linguine. If their genders were reversed their relationships would be counted as the most toxic and abusive relationship and that pretty much shows how society discriminates men by believing that if a woman treats a man poorly its OK while vice versa is not
I don’t think Luca and Gulia were ever established to have some kind of romance or even crushes, they’re friends, and seeing them as a couple says a lot about heteronormativity in our world. Also, Woody and Bo would *not* be that high (well, if you’re counting Toy Story 4 at least) cause in TS4, Bo was just awful to him, she looked down upon him and made fun of him the whole time, with him just being a doormat about it
Lightning and Sally deserve more screentime together. They’re so cute as a couple 😁
Please, Total Drama relationships: Healthy to Toxic
Healthiest (imo) - Carrie & Devin
Healthy - Zoey & Mike
Gray Area - Heather & Alejandro
Toxic - any relationship that involves Duncan OR Courtney
Most Toxic - Stephanie & Ryan
Eh, I feel like Gray Area should be Gwen and Trent or Harold and Leshawna, maybe even Owen and Izzy. Alejandro and Heather would be unhealthy though. They care for each other, but only half of the time, as they are not afraid to yell or hurt each other.
DAKOTA AND SAM ARE HEALTHY.
I’d like to see a list like this for Holiday movie couples please.
Most Toxic: Harry and Marv from Home Sweet Home Alone (yuck!)
@@mr.mcnerdo They are not a romantic couple.
The first two are ones I couldn't have placed anywhere else. They're perfect
Imelda isn’t an aunt, she’s called mama Imelda and she’s Miguel’s great great grandma.
I wanna see some Christmas themed videos for the Christmas season!
19:05 that face needs to become a meme
Missing from the list:
Mr and Mrs Potato Head (Toy Story franchise) healthy - they are clearly in love and her introduction softened him from his original grumpiness.
"Romance is a common trope in animation. Everyone can connect to the feeling of being in love..."
Why do you have to hurt me this way
Eve wasnt on a search and destroy for plant life, if she did, why bringing it to the Axiom just to kill it rather than her just shooting it with her blaster?

"Everyone can connect to the feeling of being in love, making romance highly relatable"
Aromantics: *Am I a joke to you?*
Blue Sky Heroes: Good to Most Heroic
&
Blue Sky Villains: Evil to Most Evil
11:57 and then they were completely reset for Incredibles 2. Such a shame
okey small thing
when you talked about EVE and the plant...
you said that EVE had to get the plant so that the plant can be destroyed?
uhm... no
EVE's mission, was to get the plant, so that the Axiom, has to info that Earth is safe again
it was AUTO, who got message from Earth a looong time ago, that says to return to Earth
the EVE models, never got updated with that message, otherwise they would never have been send to varries planets, including Earth
also about Mike & Celia, we do have the sequel series Monsters at Work
I feel like the Monsters at Work doesn't focus on Mike, Sully, and Celia that much.
Wall-E romance was my fave
Carl and Ellie's relationship was one of the most beautiful and healthy ones I've seen in animated movies.
Their relationship is one that brings tears to my eyes
Same here girly 😭
