Honestly he's pretty decent both as roam or jungler, and i feel pros and high-ranked lobby are just not experimenting with him enough. He fills the same role as Barats in the jungler role, so i'm surprised he didn't see much play in the last M4. Having said that, the biggest thing that letting him down is his base stats, specifically his mov spd, since he's really slow when trying to moving around normally, let alone in teamfights. Other immobile heroes like him (Barats comes to mind) at least have some redeeming things, but Mino only have his ult and gimmicky rage 2nd skill to survive. He can't even deal much dmg either unlike other tanks nowadays. I really hope they buff his base mov spd so he's at least much more mobile when roaming around the map to help his allies seeing that his kit have a really big impact in teamfights already

@Muhammad Hanzo no one plays karrie because shes a perma ban lmao? third ult isnt true you can blink out of the third knockdown stop trying to debate me on a topic i know about since i was farming the game during that time
Wish they didn't removed the first cc in his ult. It was so deadly and with flicker you could do a perfect 5 set up. Now enemies can easily escape his ult range
The extra bonuses on mino are what make it fun. S1 decreasing atk spd by 30 and 2nd skill increasing atk spd of allies by 30. That's a pretty useful one against people like miya, bruno etc
My tank of choice since last season and my main when I first started more than 3 years ago. The amount of harassment Mino dishes out in early with his surprisingly high damage, knock up and heal is really useful. Tanky in late and very annoying for the enemy with the constant knockups. He's very very good right now. Definitely unappreciated because people look for big plays from tanks, but his strength is that he supports throughout the teamfight and keeps on keeping the team alive.
I used to main him as well when I had a team but I've stopped using him as of late as I play solo now. It's really hard to do anything when the team is just bad. Many a times when I play mino in solo q I get team mates that just don't follow up/team mates that kill themselves before I even get there. There's almost always no in between, and it's prevalent even in Mythical Glory... I don't know if it's because people don't trust Mino or what because I do A LOT better when I play other more meta tanks like atlas. Kinda sad that I can't play him anymore even though I've played with him the most out of all my heroes. He's so fun to play.
@@AnimeISAMISTAKE kinda agreed. He is really team dependant more than other tanks. Sometimes after i respawned my team just initiate war without me even then if i am in there, my rage bar couldn't be filled because i'm just respawned.
@raynalldoprime Tbf, he kinda becomes a sitting duck after the two knock ups. He has that heal but I would much rather have like a Rafa instead in that situation.
Better to bring back the 3 knock up during his Ultimate. Imagine the tank hero Atlas can grab multiple enemies in his ultimate. So the 3 knock of Minotaur's ultimate is very much effective in a clash
I think it's maybe because the rank game players always wants this "5 men" set from a tank which is why Tigreal and Atlas are much more often picked because they have that ultimate
I prefer Mino over Atlas and Johnson right now. The fact that his Ult has purify effect means I can counter an Atlas/JS set with my own - protecting my teammates while zoning the enemies, leading to easy pick off for the enemy tank.
Im minotaur! Also rafaela! Still figuring how to akai. More often than not, tigreal, if most of my team is support and also to honor the presence of a support on my team.
Like if you think Elgin should cover the least used heros evey week In a series called "Forgotten Heros Spotlight" while discussing what role they fit better then their intended one and inviting the community to make experiment builds to find new viable play style for them . I think that would encourage more players to try these heros out .
i'd like a buff where during the charging phase of his ult, he gains a 2x multiplier to rage gain when hit by enemy attacks. this can act as a deterrent to enemies when Mino is front lining so they would be wary of damaging him if they dont want to get jumped full rage
as a former mino main, the cc immunity during skill 3 is an answered prayer... imagine, eudora stuns or jawhead tosses you to cancel your precious ult.
His passive makes sense before revamp because he can go rage form any time but today, it doesn't make sense. You need to enter rage form before getting the defense boosts unlike tanks like Grock (go close to a wall) and Atlas (use skills). I have an idea to make his passive more utilized: 1. Every rage point he has, he gains an amount of physical and magic defense (scales with level) 2. When he enters rage state, he gets a temporary extra hp (like thamuz ult) and 10% damage reduction
Its just so sad.. all these adjustments changes to him over the years, and still not meta. And the recent one has probably been the questionable one yet and completely change his status as a setter tank. They did solve his problem of maintaining his rage, but his Ult hardly feels like an ult anymore, while yes his first skill knockups, it’ll be spread out and would be a lot harder to find good sets when there’s delays for the enemies to easily escape with a dash or mov spd skill. If maybe they did kept his old 3 knockup ult, it would be a definite buff for him for sure, ofc they can obviously bring nerfs to other things to balance him but it’ll absolutely made him a better setter tank with now 5 knockups xD
Since you do videos about forgotten and underrated heroes, you should make one about Esmeralda. Not only she was only picked once in M4 but she has the third lowest winrate worth of 43% after Layla and Natan. She had like 54% winrate before the nerf and she was one of the most picked heroes in high rank therefore we need to talk about how is Esmeralda performing right now, is she still a good pick ( at exp, and for the whole game)and what might be adjustments that could improve her overall gameplay because as it seems she sucks right now
9:56 - 9:58. Overall, for me this is actually too much for him, because of how insane his sustainability is. 9:59. I think this it's because he's hard to get used to. He did got a lot easier to use and at least there are players that still remembers him. Thanks for the amazing gameplay Mr. Elgin 👌. It hurts to see the comments 😭.
As a tank main, I think minotaur is the most reliable tank in the current meta. I don't know why he isn't picked more often. He literally has healing, slows and three consecutive knockups (potentially, if u reset the first skill with the ult). If you want to try him out, I recommend using the tank talent "Tenacity" with bruteforce breastplace as the first core item, and he will literally be the best support/tank that you could ask for.
Minotaur is the second hero I have used the most. From S10 to the day Khufra was released. Moonton should already give him a starlight, an epic and a collector
Still at least 2 plus minutes between ults for Mino. When ults from Franco and Atlas (similar game changing ults) are less than a minute between ults. Just give Mino mana instead of rage, make his ult CD 60 seconds and he would be meta
3 knockups was better. Any champ with a blink skill usually escapes his ult if they are barely in the range radius of Minotaur’s ult. An example @ 4:52 They need to bring that 3 knockups back and he will be back in the top tier
I still use minotaur. I love his new revamp. The 1st skill is now very useful for aoe cc. His ult is good as it has the slow effect. Overall minotaur is a great tank for healing, AOE, and cc.
He counter any meta... Even having an enemy with estes hylos or any other heal type combo or even faramis combo... His area as of this current meta is so wide
He's not forgotten its just like many players dont want to go roam, also even if we say in mythic + ranks, he's not that worthy or too many roam heroes who's more decent like franco or kaja who doesn't even have much CC but has One of the biggest impact in OVERALL MAP CONTROL
For my opinion, the fatal nerf is definitely his ulty, buff for skill 1 only help for early, in late it's ulti that play important role and for that major nerf the enemy have many chance to escape, especially with dash skill
POV: Now Moontoon decided to change most of his skills and Minotaur is now one of the worst Tanks in the game. Longer CD for 1st Skill and Ultimate, no Rage for Ultimate charging, and no Attack Speed buff in the 2nd Skill. If you jump on enemies, trying to save your allies, you will probably die alone. Cheap food for any hero that kills by pressing one single button. Totally not worth it. Don't waste your time.
Yes, finnally found someone ho agrees with me, i hated the last update because of his ulti ,when you get max rage and your ulti is 10 sec plus cd you wouldnt get your ulti instantly( i get why they removed that feature) but the latest update made him worst, he actually didnt need a buff or somethinghe was pretty good until they updated it.
I use to be a minotaur main in 2017 and former 2017 1 top balmond. Honestly i wish the devs of ml would give mino some more attention really hes been unpopular for atleast 2 years
The thing with minotaur is that he has great kit, 2 knocks, 2 slows and heal+increased atk spd. But his attack boost from s1 and s2 make no sense for a tank. Increased atk spd from s2 for him, is understandable to get more rage but the increased atk from s1 hit makes no sense, it doesn't benefit him as a tank , it doesn't increase rage gain when he atks or give dmg reduction or smth. It's just there
Forgot to add 1 more. When he's in rage state, he can regen continuously up to 40% or something of his max hp when he triggers 2nd skill (heal) while he get hit by basic attack from enemy.
I think they should add his 3 knock ups from his ult back, but adjust the first 2 knock ups to like 0.3s stun duration to avoid it being op, then a 30% slow to compensate for the slow skill casting
I was mino main before they nerfed his ult. That was what made him useful. Obviously, he got hard countered by diggie though. But still I loved flicker ulting 3 or 4 enemies. Basically eliminated them if you had a good team that works well with Minos ult. Now he’s more useful early game, but his ult combo is underwhelming. Atlas is a much better option. You get movement speed, a stun with the 2nd and his ult is great. What I think they gotta do with mino is buff his ult for his first slam as a knockup and his last one is a knock up. In this case it’s not easy to dash out or flicker out but still possible. If they have no dashes that’s 3 stuns including your 1st skill. But this way he’s more useful.. and your not doing all this work to charge up your ult for them to just dash….
Yeah he is too op that not many uses him... They even laugh at him... But as a mino lover.. he is op that i can guarantee a win using him... The problem is since not many uses him is like not many knows how to back him up... Its a disappointing when you're hype to play him... That even the enemy torrets doesnt bother you but your team is scared of those torrets that when you try to pull highlights inside their area your team will leave you instead even though you know that you can win a clash... I mean dont they even know that "first to touch the enemy hero will the first to draw torrets attention".. if they dont know this then they are not worth tanking for.. as a tank my first job entering a clash inside a torrets is to draw its attention like all i need is set up at the same time take the torrets damage and when i see my health bar becomes red all i need to do is escape or sacrifice for the team
It's always nice to catch off guard enemy Mage on Mid when I'm playing Minotaur as a Roamer. You'll be surprised how much damage he can dish out with First and Second skill to buff his basic attacks. Nowadays I'm only glad for the CC Immunity, since I can Outplay other types of CC for my allies.
Maybe add some buff like getting more rage point when you are taking damage when charging your ultimate. Just add some limit to the rage gain from taking damage and maybe he'll be used more in game
after buffed I play Mino very often and it reach 500+ match with Mino. I could say this is my fav Tank with his almost complete ability. 1. Knock up skill : yes 2. Slow effect skill: yes 3. AoE: yes 4. Healing ability: yes 5. Tanky: of course a combination with slowing effect skill marksman would be effective..
That update where Mino got revamped together with Karina and Alpha is what ruined him for me. The devs gave him increase in damage but lowered his defences in return. I was a Mino user, but since then I never picked him again :(
If they give him back his rage gain for S2 and allowed his ult to have the first or second phases to have the knock up (or maybe both) or either increase his range a bit then he can be some what viable again
I’d say they replace 2nd skill’s attack speed buff with a physical attack and magic power buff by 10% to 25%(increases based level points put although) and a 20% movement speed increase for 5 or more seconds. And enraged 2nd skill could also increase the buff he grants like 2 times the normal version.
I think the issue about on why he is unpopular is his rage and ult, first im okay with the adjustment on his ult cause its like lolita and u can just flicker ult on where the group of enemies are then use first skill to add another knock up. I guess they didnt like the adjustment cause they like the 3 knockup and i think 1 of the downsides of his ultimate is that his 3rd animation/set/animation of his ultimate is slow and the enemies can escape easily even with the slow effect of the first 2 levels of his ult, then his rage, for me its okay since im using always soaking damage with my tanky build to build up meter and i think 1 of the reasons on why he is not used often cause the rage meter is slow and not like before even when u heal u can still get a little bit of rage when healing yourself.
Currently today, minotaur is now a meta hero, moontoon removed hes passive or the rage and replaced it with a passive wherewhen you cc an enemy theyre hybrid def lowers, plus no more rage, hes always my fav hero in mlbb
I used to play minotaur before his revamp. The rage bar requirement for his ultimate is one of the reasons he's unpopular. 2 conditions to fulfill to use his ultimate: Full rage bar and cooldown(1st phase of his ultimate to charge rage). The removal of the knock up for the first 2 smashes of his ultimate made it easier for the enemies to escape. For example, Atlas can set easily to surprise the enemies. Minotaur takes too much time. Kaja and franco, even with single target pick off, are better than mino. Akai is very disruptive in team fights. Even supports can be better picks than minotaur. I seldom see jungler mino so I can't say anything about that part.
As a Minotaur user, the only thing i would add to his skills is a buff on the rage/ultimate mode. From the other things, he's ok is a very underrated tank but very effective.
There's only one thing I think would make him go meta and it's to remove the raging ult and change it to a weaker version of his enhanced ult (like the old mino) that way mino can rely on his enhance ulti lesser than when having the current unenhanced ult
Some of players didnt bother to read the patch. Minatour before is kinda hard to play from early to mid but with his revamp skill, i can say his playable from start to end game.
Minotaur's Ult + Flicker is one of the most underrated move that every tank user should try. I've climb up ranks to mythic from epic last season just using this hero. Give him a try especially if you use Lolita a lot because the setup on his ult is pretty similar. P.S: He's Also Rafaela on Steriods so give him a try
Its his rage that has issue. It takes time before Minotaur can activate his Ultimate rather than someone like Atlas who has an instant set up and knock up. In my opinion, they should've remove the rage or make it and give a longer cd or make his rage easier. I miss the old Minotaur as a tank main with the three knock up on ult and they messed up Minotaur so much that I don't wanna use him anymore.
I play tank mostly because their ultimate is very satisfying to land but Minotaur ultimate with 1 knock up just boring. I hope they give back his 3 knock up and to balance it make his first skill only knock up at middle like Yve first skill.
Mino in my opinion is one of the best tanks. Actually at times he’s the best tank in the game. His first skill knock up is really effective especially with its low CD. The Ult’s effect was definitely nerfed, but I’d gladly take it and its CC immune over getting stunned mid ult and not being able to use it at all. But his most OP skill imo is his 2nd skill. People underrate how incredible his team heal skill is. I put only Estes above him in terms of healing and no cap, I’d pick him over Estes because of how low his CD is for his heal skill and the numerous CC effects he has. Even if your team loses a team fight, Mino can survive attack from around 3 enemies and safely escape especially with his Ult+skill 2. Every basic turns to HP for Mino in those cases. Mino is a great tank and no one can tell me otherwise.
I would love it if they give his 2nd a taunt effect it would mitigate the escaping enemies, but that would overload his 2nd too much, instead if they give the first two ult smashes as Taunt it'll be a bit ridiculous.
the main reason I don't use minotaur is because Edith is simply better. Mino's main cc is a knock-up, which Edith has 2 of He has a rage mechanic which makes him a much bigger threat when ulted. Edith also has the same mechanic but she can actually kill the enemy backline he has his utilities but his entire thing is to fight against and to help marksmen the only situation where I'd use minotaur over Edith is when my team and the enemy both have 2 attack speed marksmen, which happens once in a blue moon
bring back the 2 knock ups and retain the other skills' effects, minotaur will be the next icon of a big tournament. I'm one of the few people that loves minotaur and his skill set but I agree that it might need some more tweaking
I feel awful seeing him as the least picked hero. Minotaur is actually my favorite tank, he’s buff’s we’re really great. Hopefully he will regain his popularity back again

@raynaldo arlen k.eman in s25... Since there is a patch back in that season that mino has no cooldown on his ult... I've pulled off a less than 10secs of Twice ult
Mino is so much useful now as a tank.
-the rage can be maintain
-ss can't be interrupted anymore
- can knock up without using his ulti.
-can heal, tank damage, and can cc enemy, and can deal damage more effectively
A lot of players who doesn't use Mino would disagree with you. 😂
Minotaur's ultimate skill can be interrupted by suppression like Kaja and Franco
@@reistillmine question is would you use such a precious Ult on Mino instead of the enemy's damage dealer or core?
@@SoloQueueGamer Minotaurs new ult is trash, Before it had a lot of cc because of the ult which made the minotaur a really good tank, but now eh its beyond trash anyone can get out of his ult with a dash, so its really bad especially in this meta where most heroes has a blink ability.

I was a minotaur main for a long time, but now with his changes it doesn't feel the same.. Back then in his rage mode he gains instant new skills, without activating his ult first.
And 3 knock ups is better than 2.
I like old mino because i can abuse his rage heal, the revamped mino sucked.
bruh, my thought exacly,
the old version ult is basicly a trump card to turn the tide when you are losing,

Let’s not worry about him being a less popular pick. The important thing is he became more useful with the recent adjustments. His skill set is arguably better now. Btw, Mino main here. 🐮🔨
Well yeah you could get his rage easily now but his ultimate is really easy to dodge even if you use dashless hero
@@zafryalqadri the opposite can also be said. Enemies would sometimes move within Mino ult's range thinking the ULT is already over.

Airborne on his 1st skill is amazing, it creates more aggressive play on early games instead only poking, but his ultimate needs a little rework, instead smashing into the ground 3 times, he can do like 1 way stunning, like lolitas ultimate but instand but has less area
I main Mino and the only thing i want for him is to have a damage reduction when casting ult and to bring back those 3 knock ups
damage reduction sure but you have to be dumb to want your ONLY cc be ult again
its more a nerf to valentina to mino, mino can still do 3 knock ups if he use skill 1 + ult. For valentina, it become of the most useless ult to copy.
@Muhammad Hanzo what do you mean shot down lmao? i think the old ult is bad
Yeah that's one of the reason 🙂🙂
Its still better than reducing rage and a useless 1st skill tbh.
should have at least been an immobilize instead of slow...
you can initiate with the 1st skill instead, instantly followup with ult (which resets the cd of 1st skill), then chain with another 1st skill.
@@lemn1sk856 which is really hard to pull than flicker ult before. There are a lot of dash type heroes
He has that heal but I would much rather have like a Rafa instead in that situation.
indeed agree with you
Better to bring back the 3 knock up during his Ultimate. Imagine the tank hero Atlas can grab multiple enemies in his ultimate. So the 3 knock of Minotaur's ultimate is very much effective in a clash
Exactly I used him to counter Atlas alot back then
I think it's maybe because the rank game players always wants this "5 men" set from a tank which is why Tigreal and Atlas are much more often picked because they have that ultimate
What is your rank?
mino can 5man ult too??? what r u saying?
Minotaur has one of the most unique running animation in the game. From walking in bipedal to running in tripedal.
@gray1018bro will you just let this guy comment
Don't worry i am maining him in this season and i already have a winrate of 75% in rank.....Also 100% with minotaur
weh????
Fr, I'm having fun using minotaur ever since they made his 1st skill cc knock up. Plus, I can heal and initiate team fight easily
hahaha okayyyyyyyyyyy.
As someone who use minotaur often im glad u noticed it
I prefer Mino over Atlas and Johnson right now.
I used him once and honestly I'm shocked on how useful he is
Usefulness can also be uselessness

ye and thats his only problem i think
By the time it's war you don't have the ult. Your team died and you get blamed because teamate doesn't know how mino works.
as a former mino main, the cc immunity during skill 3 is an answered prayer... imagine, eudora stuns or jawhead tosses you to cancel your precious ult.
His passive makes sense before revamp because he can go rage form any time but today, it doesn't make sense. You need to enter rage form before getting the defense boosts unlike tanks like Grock (go close to a wall) and Atlas (use skills). I have an idea to make his passive more utilized:
1. Every rage point he has, he gains an amount of physical and magic defense (scales with level)
2. When he enters rage state, he gets a temporary extra hp (like thamuz ult) and 10% damage reduction
Hire this guy!
She had like 54% winrate before the nerf and she was one of the most picked heroes in high rank therefore we need to talk about how is Esmeralda performing right now, is she still a good pick ( at exp, and for the whole game)and what might be adjustments that could improve her overall gameplay because as it seems she sucks right now
To make him less forgotten.just reverted the revamp and we good
I really miss the old Minotaur where there's 3 times knock up effect. 😔
He's good now, but still requires a lot of team coordination and intelligent teammates, things that are not frequent at any rank in ML.
He's good partner for lock on heroes. He has almost every you need in a tank but his rage holds him back a lot.
7:55 You just saved Granger by Cancelling Kadita's ultimate 😱
Minotaur is one of my fave tanks because apart from the good cc he also can also provide healing which is really useful for the team

Him: why no one uses minotaur
Me: and i took that personally
Omg my eyes... The first teamfight you fought behind your teamates and let them die
If they didnt remove his ulti first 2 knock up then he’d be much more popular. Imagine a tank with Heal and 2 cc skills
I miss the old Mino where he can be a walking fountain of life
As a tank main, I think minotaur is the most reliable tank in the current meta.
He doesn't have 3 consecutive knock ups anymore. Which is too bad. 70% slow is nothing with the current dash mm.
An example @ 4:52
They need to bring that 3 knockups back and he will be back in the top tier
I still use minotaur. I love his new revamp. The 1st skill is now very useful for aoe cc. His ult is good as it has the slow effect. Overall minotaur is a great tank for healing, AOE, and cc.
That ult during the last clash was great
Minotaur user here. Playing with my wife an Irithel user. It's a good combo for us. She knows my play and set using Mino's ulti.
Fun fact about minotaur: He can counter karrie inspire with skill 2 as like counter ultimate wanwan and claude
He counter any meta... Even having an enemy with estes hylos or any other heal type combo or even faramis combo... His area as of this current meta is so wide
This Mino was more forgotten then before.
This is 1 of the reason why i have 80% winrate for Mino, he's good just underrated.
IMO Mino right now is a viable pick seeming that he can sustain a lot. The buff on skill 1 is a much needed one besides the rage optimization.
I main him, he is so effective to disrupt channels or suppressions. Also he boost basic attack MMs even higher
minotaur's journey for me is from main to never used.
It's just there
The s1 boost has helped me early game and finished off enemies. It could be better but it's more than just there.
As a main, I can assure that minotaur is just op.
1. Knock up skill : yes
2. Slow effect skill: yes
3. AoE: yes
4. Healing ability: yes
5. Tanky: of course
a combination with slowing effect skill marksman would be effective..
He is viable but his engage tool in first skill doesn’t cover much distance compared to Khufra or Atlas.
Although I much prefer they focus on something like his 2nd skill rather than making him another Tigreal 2.0.
@@MyTran-gn4rk even better
For those who dont know the 2nd skill helps also for boosting atk speed that favor following mm wanwan lesley and other mm hero that relies atk speed
For more sustainability I use Brave Smite instead of Tenacity. It has 8 sec cooldown and Mino's 1st skill now deals knock up.
I'm definitely gonna try out Minotaur. This should expand my options since I'm bad at other roles besides mid laner/mage.
As a mino main, the only problem for me is his 2 first knockups from ulti because now you don't have that surprise effect of cc anymore
Is such pain in the ass watching him playing tank in the beginning
As a Minotaur user, the only thing i would add to his skills is a buff on the rage/ultimate mode.
From the other things, he's ok is a very underrated tank but very effective.
You can even use flicker with his 1st skill for a surprise initiation
There's only one thing I think would make him go meta and it's to remove the raging ult and change it to a weaker version of his enhanced ult (like the old mino) that way mino can rely on his enhance ulti lesser than when having the current unenhanced ult
Yup he is really good now. His cc is pretty decent as well
Thank you. Now I want to use minotaur again.
Love the "Araro Build" LMAO
Tank main here and planning to use minotaur ^^ Lesgoo
Back in the days Minotaur was one of the most pick tanks in the game .
Because there aren’t many tanks in game 😂😂 obviously
It's not about the hero, it's about the player using the hero
Mino should be running on four when charging his ult, resembling a raging Bull.
I would love it if they give his 2nd a taunt effect it would mitigate the escaping enemies, but that would overload his 2nd too much, instead if they give the first two ult smashes as Taunt it'll be a bit ridiculous.
the main reason I don't use minotaur is because Edith is simply better.
Mino's main cc is a knock-up, which Edith has 2 of
He has a rage mechanic which makes him a much bigger threat when ulted.
Edith also has the same mechanic but she can actually kill the enemy backline
he has his utilities but his entire thing is to fight against and to help marksmen
the only situation where I'd use minotaur over Edith is when my team and the enemy both have 2 attack speed marksmen, which happens once in a blue moon
bring back the 2 knock ups and retain the other skills' effects, minotaur will be the next icon of a big tournament.
I'm one of the few people that loves minotaur and his skill set but I agree that it might need some more tweaking
I feel awful seeing him as the least picked hero. Minotaur is actually my favorite tank, he’s buff’s we’re really great. Hopefully he will regain his popularity back again
