Very expensive prices for some of the local products, the more well known brands are shocking expensive, but you have to allow for the fact there all imported. Cheers for the insight guys 😊
Very similar to over here guys .Always better to shop around rather than just getting everything from just one place I imagine. Some things cheaper .Looks like a large premium on a lot of the branded stuff ! Think the fish fingers are roughly the same price as gold !!! 😳😂Thanks for sharing ❤
Hi George and Su thank you so much for showing this Vlog it does look like a good supermarket to go to with some great stuff and it’s very kind of you to show and point out products and prices and I’m unsure about some of the prices but some good prices on things and it’s still best to shop around and we did buy a bottle of Zivania for the first ever last year and we have never been in this type supermarket before so maybe we should go and have a look in one when we come back to Cyprus
You have big ones like this that are cheaper Papantoniou and Sklavanides are two just as big, then you have the discount supermarkets why pay 6 euro for a large Nescafe at these places when you can get it for 3 lol
Hi mate , i live in Australia and comparing those prices with here are about the same. But salaries here in Australia are much higher. Thanks for the videos
Could I recommend the Freshona baked beans from Lidl. I would never pay Heinz prices and I also don't buy Birds Eye products which are madly expensive here. I really miss Tesco products which Alpha Mega stopped selling after Brexit. The Casino range that they now stock come from France and so far I've had no problem with them. Thanks for sharing. x
I'm guessing that the dual prices are that tourists have to pay the more expensive price on those yellow ticketed items and the locals pay the cheaper price. Am I right 😮😮💰💰💰
Yet governments can find enough money to fund New weapons and war machines but they don't seem to want to tackle the High prices of food it's the same everywhere

How much is a meal in a restaurant in the evening. I am now seeing UK tour operators advertising their holidays as BB instead of H/B. The supplement for H/B is often between 20 to 30 euros pp per day.. A/I is often 350 euro plus a week PP. I am now thinking the BB prices are reasonable, but I would get better value eating out in the evening.. Hotel food is often hit and miss from one day to another.
Eating out can be from €10 up but I would say an average main course in a tourist area would be 15€. There are amazing restaurants nice to get out and try some.

Get some good bits in there. Shopping around is definitely key. Have a great weekend.

Thanks George and Su, could you do a more recent video like this in the lidl in Protaras and the area of Villa Cayenne in Penera?
Will do.
@@CYPRUSINSIGHT Thank you both!
Lidls Cyprus IMO is not cheap. And limited in what they have in stores. better to go to a supermarket towards Paralimni
@dawntindle8303 thanks for that advice. What's the name of the supermarket toward paralimni that's better to use?

We normally have lidl beans but we were away and fancied beans in toast!!!
A and S Fassouri, or the discount British imported food supermarket next to LIDEL in Ypsonas
Thanks.
Compared to prices in Portugal, those prices are expensive, everything is more expensive, that would add up at the end of every year
Yes very expensive here due to small population and an island

No of course not, the yellow is the stuff on offer for everyone.
Most supermarkets have offers on food stuff. some for a couple of weeks and Lidls only a few days or while stock last.
Super discount centre or is that just as expensive now
Ooh bits in there are cheap but every thing is on the up. Will try and do a video there we got thrown out last time!!

Why is there 2 prices on those yellow labels?
Price of item and price per kg
The yellow labels are normally when the produce is on offer too. They show the normal price and discounted for that time period.
That's good to know. Thanks👍
