    Love your channel bro ! You have a great spirit , down to earth and the insight you provide is priceless . Can you do more videos that get into the technical know how of operating a crane ? Like gross weight and net weight , how to read the monitors inside the crane , buzzers and alarms , wind speed , jib length , how does math come into play ect?

The higher you climbed… The more certain I was. lol 😂 … Then when you got up to the top, and walked out … I thought 💭 “this dude is something special” … In a good way, of course. Thanks for the tour, love ya man! Stay Safe, Stay Alert, and Stay the Course.

    Very good video and I respect you for what you do as it's not something I couldn't do. Just a question, Is it normal not to climb with a harness? I would want everything that could stop me falling. Again respect.

    • @foxhollerhomestead
      @foxhollerhomestead  Год назад

      Sincerely thank you so much my friend!
      So yes it’s normal to not wear a harness. The ladders are equipped with protective cages around them to help prevent falls. Also, they are in 20’ sections with landings as to minimize fatigue.

    What's the highest you've worked, and have you ever found anything loose?

    • @foxhollerhomestead
      @foxhollerhomestead  2 года назад +2

      The highest I have worked as around 275 feet and yes 100% I have found a loose tower bolt in one of the sections but each corner has four bolts so one out of four isn’t so bad!!
      Got the crane text in the following day to remedy and stress the Bolt

    Hey there brother quick cuestion
    Im about to get my tower crane certification in a private school I am Not working in a union.
    Do you think a union would hire me even doe I just got my certification and obviously I do not have experience in tower crane??
    Hope you can answer my cuestión
    Thank-you for sharing your knowledge

    • @foxhollerhomestead
      @foxhollerhomestead  2 года назад

      Good morning Eric and congratulations on your choice to get your certifications!
      Most definitely you continue doing you and once you get your certifications, The way that you approach the union is to go down and apply for the out of work list.
      You can also apply for the apprenticeship through the union! This way all of your training is paid for!!
      Assuming you’re in Washington,
      Call 509-986-3203 for the apprenticeship
      Sincerely thank you and feel free to ask any questions that you have I’ll be here!

      @@ericgomez2820 100% my brother you got this!
      Now if I could give you any words of advice is just because you have your Certs doesn’t mean you belong directly in the seat.
      With that being said you need to stay humble and spend as much time as possible underneath the hook as a Rigger and Bellman. Stay in constant contact with the operator and always offer to oil and do the inspections.
      Sitting in the seat is going to be the easy part its learning all about the cranes you want to run before you run them that is going to be the most helpful
