This is devastating. Is there anyway the citizens can get to New York City to seek help? I know Puerto Rican's can travel freely to the US. In NYC they would have access to free housing, medical care, and probably a college education as an immigrant. The community is in my thoughts and prayers.

The island isn't completely prone to flooding. Just the low lying coastal areas. This video is of one such an area. My friend lives on the island and she tells me that other than no power at times, they are ok. Everyone was prepared this time.
