What a wonderful trip and so many memories came back to me. I'd do it again tomorrow with the same group!! Joel and Lia were the best and were with us every step of the way not mention almost every meal. They said promoting the trip as a trip of a lifetime and it was that.
Actually forgot that I wandered off at Edinburgh Castle and missed dinner with everyone! Was a wonderful group of people to spend the week with!

Culloden was amazing to walk around and see where the clans were fighting. I bought my outlander tartan in that store. Had one of the best meat pies in a cafe in the capital of Skye.

We saw much of Skye. Stayed two nights in the Old Stein Inn.....very old fishing village with a great local pub. Met some locals and had a wonderful evening. Saw the Fairye Glen and drove the northern peninsula.
Sounds like such a blast!!! I really wish I was able to go, I’ve always wanted to go to Scotland. The castle tour sounded so interesting, I probably could’ve spent all day there lol I’m obsessed with castles and their history. It really seems like it was the trip of a lifetime, looking forward to part two. 🤗❇️💖❤️

Looks like you had a great time! I was hoping to hear Outlander mentioned. The Highland coos are adorable. Scotland and Coloden Moor have been on my bucket list for many years. So beautiful. Loved this video guys. It brought back so many fond memories of when I visited. Haggis was the only thing I didn't like. Loved the country, loved the people and the history. Went to John O'Groats and took the ferry to the Orkney Islands to check out where my ancestors came from. Amazing. Love the show Shetland. Cheers from Australia.

What a lovely trip! I adore the Highlands :) And yes, it can get QUITE chilly. I remember being in Orkney in June on summer solstice... and it was 40 degrees F (4 C). Brr!
I just knew it would be a wonderful trip and the video proves it. You both looked so relaxed and having a grand time. I so wish I could have filled out one of those unbooked spots in your entourage. Hopefully, another time. Looking forward to part 2.

I bought a hoodie(jumper) at Edinburgh Castle when my Dad & I went there because I too underestimated how cold it was.

You have both become so much prettier in the past eight years - it's actually incredible to think how old you are now and how old you were then!
I mean: I am totally out of competition. I will soon be 53 (and I love it!).

Currently wearing my thumb ring I got from Edinburgh Castle.
The main thing my Dad was interested in seeing when we went there was the Stone of Destiny.
We used Rabbie's when we were in Scotland. Their tours were great!
Hey Guys! Glad you had so much fun! I would to visit Scotland. I'm a big Outlander fan. I'm so jelly! Hey Sassenachs!
Wife and I did Scotland in 2019. Best way to go is a rental car! It was a amazing and we had the freedom to go where we wanted, when we wanted. Saw Edinburgh, including all of the Harry Potter sites and of course the Royal Mile.
Drove north to see Castle Doune (Outlander and Game of Thrones...AND Monty Python and the Holy Grail!) and Sterling Castle. Stayed a few nights in Pitlochry. Bought some Scotch and saw a play at the Pitlochry Theater.
Then drove to Inverness where we took a bus/ferry/bus trip to tour the Orkneys. Also visited Colloden and Clava Cairn. Took a boat trip on Loch Ness (we searched and searched, but didn't see Nessie). Even took a driving trip completely around Loch Ness. Such gorgeous countryside. (Yes, we visited Urquart Castle.)
Then drove through the highlands to the Isle of Skye and spent a few days there.
Then to Iona, where we stayed a few nights....visiting Staffa Island.
Then it was a stunning drive through Glen Coe back toward Edinburgh, making to Roslyn in time to tour the Chapel.
A most memorable vacay. We definitely want to go back.
I saw The Stone of Scone in Westminster back in 1979. It's a rock. I saw it. Yay.
Oh, how I wish I could have been there! Curse my spine. 🤣 It looked like a wonderful time!

Heading to tour Scotland this Saturday from Florida USA! Been loving your videos for a very long time. I see your wearing your sneakers (trainers to you Brits!) but you’ve mentioned in earlier video that that’s how you spot an American tourist! After touring all around Scotland - heading to Richmond. Can’t wait to see the Ted Lasso filming sites! Packing my trainers!!!!!!!!
