great essay and analysis. have watched the film myself but capitalism critique wasn't appeared to me as a key aspect of film. To me it was rather about how truth and events could be subjectively reinterpret and perceived differently. Also the actors work was amazing, especially Sandra Huller. Still I find your points bout capitalism underlying the world we live in and shaping our personas very valid and insightful.

Thank you very much for your kind comment. My thoughts on capitalism and it shapes our personas is not so much to denounce capitalism, but to offer an opinion on its negative side effects, so we can catch ourselves from falling too deeply into its consequences. “Anatomy of A Fall”is definitely a great film, isn’t it? Everything from the script, the acting, and the directing would make as great references for every aspiring writer, actor, or director. You’re right about how the film shows how its human nature to manipulation the truth to suit individual needs, and with Justine Triet’s use of various forms of technology to present information for the audience like puzzle pieces for us to track down what is the truth and what is not showcase Ms. Triet’s talent. I especially liked her choice to use Daniel’s voice over his father’s face during their time in the car during Daniel’s testimony in court. “Anatomy of A Fall” is a phenomenal achievement and I hope its audience grows more and more. Thank you very much again for your comment and your time.
