Apart from the absolute quality and expressiveness of these libraries, I can never help but appreciate your constant drive for compatibility with external libraries as well. Beautiful business model, beautiful audio engineering, beautiful everything.
Great additions! I really wish it were more normal for sample libraries to come with presets like this. EastWest kind of does this with their Soft, Classic, and Epic mood settings, but this seems a lot more comprehensive. Keep up the great work!
We hope they come in useful! They're primarily meant as inspiration/starting points, and there will likely be some little refinements on them down the road, but we're looking forward to building on them as future libraries, instruments and features arrive :)
Wow! Just downloaded it and had my first trial. Love the sound and the new presets. Well done! 😊 One small thing, though. It seems that the bassoons and contrabassoon are missing their lowest B-flats. Their ranges stop at B natural.
Thank you for letting us know! Very weird - it was just an overlap with a keyswitch. New instrument is now uploaded and available for download, with B-flats :)
I dunno if i speak on the behalf of everybody, BUT... I think we need a VHorns 2.0 for both saxes and trumpets/trombones. It's been long enough... They've needed an update for a long while now...
I wasn't thinking about getting the clarinets and the reeds too soon(still experimenting with the flutes) but with this update... Damn... Will the other VWinds instruments will get the new presets too ?
Hi Acoustic Samples! I noticed a weird bug when pressing the legato re-tongue keyswitch, where it sounds a note when I press it, even when I'm not playing any other note. I just thought you should be aware.
@@acousticsamples Crossing my fingers! VWinds has replaced all other woodwind libraries for me, it's so refreshing to just be able to write like I would for live players instead of having to work around sample limitations! you guys have really knocked it out of the park!
So in terms of ensemble this is just CSS mainly on close/main mics, with a little send to the same reverb used as a full insert on some of the VWinds instruments (some are with this reverb, some are just using the in-built Stoller Hall) But the bulk of the sound is made up of various solo patches - recently I’ve been starting off with programming strings with solo patches only, wherever they’re from (here it’s CSSS, the new Pacific/Vista, and MSS), and then adding ensemble just as a sort of layer in itself… I’ve always, always found ensembles to be a little bit muffled and this is especially noticeable compared to crystal clear semi-modelled woodwinds… and my EQing skills are not up to the job most of the time. But in solo patches the clarity is just part of the package, and so… this is MSS solos, CSSS, Vista solos, Pacific solos… with CSS just helping fill it all out. Sorry for the essay of an answer! Just thought it was worth explaining the slightly weird set-up
@@simonpassmore Thank you for the thorough explanation.I agree about mixing solo and ensemble strings. I find a mixture of different solo string technologies (fully modelled/semi-modelled/fully sampled) mixed with a more or less "background" ensemble (Berlin in my case) in the mix produces the most realistic effect.
Will a given vibrato speed CC value produce the same speed in version 2 as it did in version 1? More generally, is it likely we'll need to double check all our vibrato to see whether it needs to be recalibrated?
Actually v.2 has a slightly higher ceiling in terms of vibrato speed (up to 115%), so identical CC values will sound faster in v.2, and there are numerous differences between the two versions in terms of sound. It may be easier to treat v.2 as an entirely new library rather than just an update when it comes to transferring previous MIDI etc.

I can't wait for you to make a brass V2 that smashes the big brash big band sound out the park 😊
Y’all, I can’t tell you how excited I am to buy these when they go on sale!!! I’m so excited to finally free up some of my RAM! Y’all are the best!
And I thought the first one was good! You guys are without hyperbole making the best sample libraries of all time

As an owner of all the vhorns instruments I’m a little jealous. But very good to see you are still supporting your existing customers.
Don’t worry, we’re not done with VHorns yet :)
Didn't you see the french horns? And the low brass?? I'd be _bragging_ to the VWinds owners! Of course, why not be both?
Thank you, AS. : )
Wish you would show the VHorns some love as well...

@@acousticsamples yes, the Bb are there now but once you press the key they sustain on forever.
Apologies - reuploaded again with releases, just a consequence of trying to do quick fixes at midnight :) should be available to download now
@@yango8778 Yep... we just fixed it again... you can download and replace it again, sorry for that :)
@@acousticsamples thank you for the quick response. No problem! 😀 Have a great weekend!

This is not a bug, this keyswitch will replay the last note you played even if nothing is pressed, it allows for fast staccato repetitions.
@@acousticsamplesOk, thanks for the clarification. You guys have made some of the best virtual instruments!
Merci Acousticsamples pour cette magnifique update ! ... D'où proviennent ces cordes entendues en fin de vidéo 🤔😁?
il y a une réponse plus détaillée ci-dessous mais en gros c'est un mélange, le son principal étant composé de solistes (CSSS, MSS 1st chairs, Pacific)
Merci
Finally!!! Will we be getting a 3rd clarinet and 3rd flute in future updates as well?
🤐

What is the string library used at the end of the video? It works really well with the VWinds.
