The ref is actually wrong here for stopping play for illegal equipment (rule 3.1a) The measurement of any equipment (players’ and goaltenders’ sticks, goaltenders’ pads and gloves) will be carried out immediately, at the Referee’s crease, when requested by a team at a stoppage of play, by a Captain or Alternate Captain. No measurements of any kind will be carried out by the Referee unless a formal request has been made by a team, via the Captain or Alternate Captain.
as a 3d printing hobbyist, I can tell these blades didn't have enough walls to be strong enough. Also you would've needed a more flexible material more than a strong one. That way it would have been able to absorb shocks a bit more. Polycarbonate would've have been better imo.
Cf6 nylon is probably the correct choice but whoever did the cad design gave it absolutely zero integrity. They could have probably kept the walls but redesigned the infill to actually give it support. I'm curious about this and I'm gonna try to do it when I get home
@@platapus112 I just rewatched the part where they show the broken blade and they used the worst infill... Rectilinear. If only it was triangles or gyroid it would have been slightly better.
@ That’s where the live bidding from fans come in. I’m sure Jesse’s jersey would go to a fan who would spend maybe a couple hundred on it to have it framed as a funny memory keepsake which in turn would more than likely give Jesse enough money to go get a new jersey. I’m a massive game worn jersey collector of the CHL so I’m well aware of costs.
Maybe if they printed the blade with like 1 foot of stick attached and make it thin like an extension, and get a 2 piece shaft put it in so it goes like a foot inside the shaft for a bit more strength
Interesting video, but, honestly I'm surprised of the poor quality you got from a company that specializes in just that - 3D printing. The infill they chose also looked like a pretty bad decision as it is one of the weakest one for impact. The parts looked way flimsier than needed, I bet with a slight redesign, and, modified print settings it would be way more durable... Maybe they gave this project to an intern?
The Jesse Hat trick : A goal, an apple and an illegal equipment penality. Legends stuff right there
Yep
@@ShesheuryFr bro he’s so dumb

"Tough day for the Value Village stick"
Quality chirp from the ref
Top tier shit right there
Can't believe these Refs don't love some good engineering
Calling illegal curve in a beer league game is wild
Right
I like the new bardown jerseys. Appreciate not having a sponsorship patch
I mean the whole jersey is a sponsorship patch for this RUclips channel

Those tarps on the opposing team are 🔥
This is incredible!!! Those jerseys are sick

@@sampic_ honestly gyroid with deltas probably would have actually supported it. The hossel is the weak point always
Shoulda gone for the CF-PEEK blade with 100% infill, and really make this thing a $500 stick
@@ColDijon at that point you just buy an actual stick 😂
Well, if anyone was wondering why the vikings have been struggling, Jesse was wearing their hat. Guys a curse
explain the winnipeg jets this season then lol
Goalie was a great sport
I think the ref had money on the other guys
Gotta auction off the bar down game worn sweaters at the end of the year would be so sweet
The jerseys are not cheap.
They are a beer league team not a professional with new jerseys with sponsors every seasons.

New sweaters are sick brotha, red team
I would love to see you guys pay a tribute to Corwin, to win a game without raising the puck
It's weird that he decided to print outside support instead of sticking it into the shaft like the good old carbon/wood combis
Weirdest penilty ive ever gotten is: travesty to the game :D
How on earth did you get that?
Make a stick with a left blade on one end and a right blade on the other
Gotta admit, I like the white jerseys better.
Cool video!
Did Corwin also leave the team?
He left left bardown, he’s not on anything. Now he makes surprise appearances here and there
@@LilSnouphe works for bauer media team now
I’m think he’s still on the team
Send Vince in to the game with a player stick and instead of pulling him send him up
Jesse still skates like Donkey Kong
what if you made a hockey stick that had a grabber on the blade, you can control the puck and dangle crazy
pavel barber made a video with a stick just like it. its on either his Instagram or tiktok

Is corwin still on the hockey team?
Need to get your blades made from a continuous fiber/nylon 3D printer like a markforged

I like the black jerseys the most

Change the infill, add more wall layers...

Carbon fiber nylon in not a good idea it loses strength in moisture use a glaas filled filament
Would this work in ball hockey??
