Stock car racing is a hard thankless sport at times, it can go on and on, I know 1st hand. For me when I raced Superstox I always looked forward to the next meeting and raced as often as I could afford F1s is a more harder brutal than Supers and I can fully understand how you both feel, Jakey is particularly looking fed up….like you say and I will 2nd this, there are a lot of drivers at stock car meetings who have damage and things break, it’s very common, it’s just you document everything that happens so it ain’t just you guys. Also 2 cars to prepare is hard work, week in week out, and most of us have to work for a living! Remember both your cars are nice complete cars and you both have had a few annoying repeat faults, cars get damaged, that’s part of stock car racing, one thing Nige it seems you have engine reliability which must be a good thing right? One thing I did was not worry about damage and just get stuck in but in my head not drive totally reckless and know when to yield and when not to. It’s a lot harder than most think unless you are the driver Just trying some words of encouragement as you both looked totally fed up….keep at it move on and work hard, it will turn around and one good result will erase ALL the bad ones I relate to your frustration Dean
Watched you racing last night Nige and the only winner was the track, turns 1+2 were so bad they were popping outside rear tyres on piece, your cars certainly are on the pace so looks like you've solved the engines🤞 just bad luck really and as you say there was plenty of other cars and drivers with bad luck. That track was hard on the cars. The F2's didn't get hardly any damage just punctures, keep your chin up your luck will change👍
Brutal Bradford remains brutal. I love it here but it's hard watching heats where there are only 6-7 cars left due to problems, to the the point where there is no close racing and I think the turns (more like speed bumps) under the hospitality suite has something to play in that.. But that's just my take! Loved seeing you both race, really enjoyed the first heat of white and yellows!
Nige look on the bright side whatever thet means. It is nice to see Dad and Son sharing the same should i say passion. My Dad knew less about stock cars than i did. Treasure these moments. Oh the only reason i want you to keep bloging there isn't anything decent on the tele Sunday lunchtime.
would imagine the percentage of parts failing is very high in the sport as its a contact sport with many parts under extreme stress so anyone who races i would think is just releived if come away from a meeting with just minimal issues

One of the best trophies Nige, must be sharing the racing experience with Jake, as father and son team.👍
All the bad meetings make the good ones more special.
Keep going Nige, your vlogs are great, informative and honest. Racing is a cruel sport but your luck will change.
