Webinar: Bridging The Gap: Maximizing The Potential Of Full Spectrum Cell Analyzers And Sorters
Webinar Abstract:
Spectral flow cytometry has revolutionized flow cytometry for both cell analysis and cell sorting and is now the gold standard. Fueled by this technological advancement, investigators that use our shared resource laboratory (SRL, University of Iowa) often have specific descriptive characteristics to distinguish cell populations that require a companion spectral cell sorter.
The desire to sort and perform further studies on populations and subsets observed on the spectral analyzers has increased as investigators gain more knowledge of the characteristics of cell populations of interest, due in part to other technological advances, such as single-cell RNA sequencing. Consequently, the need to detect 20-plus fluorescent parameters is commonplace among researchers who use our SRL and in fact, investigators have developed 31-color panels that have been assessed on the Cytek Aurora™ spectral analyzers, which we will discuss further. This trend has continued into the cell sorting arena and high parameter panels are now routinely sorted in our facility.
In this webinar, we will discuss sorting cellular subsets previously identified on the spectral analyzers that have benefited various projects supported by our flow core. In addition, we will discuss how transferring these complex assays from the cell analyzer to the cell sorter is streamlined and efficient.
The topics discussed in this webinar include:
Investigators’ adoption of full spectrum flow cytometry and cell sorting
Development of high dimensional panels: OMIP-099 publication
Assay transferability between the five laser Cytek Aurora™ cell analyzer and the five laser Cytek Aurora™ CS system
The SRL’s considerations and expectations for new instrument/technology acquisition
Who should attend this webinar:
Researchers using or interested in full spectrum flow cytometry and cell sorting
Anyone considering transitioning from conventional to full spectrum flow cytometry
Anyone interested in flow cytometry applications and new technology
For Research Use Only. Not intended for use in diagnostic procedures
