PD made such a good point about yearning, i really felt the lyrics the way i did Heart Shaker and Knock Knock did for me, the girls really want to know what love is and thats what sold the song! The famous romantic movie scenes/cliches were executed amazingly! The lack of a male lead is so that ONCE's can fantasize about their ships whilst avoiding potential hate, but to me the reason why they didnt have a male lead is because the girls supposedly don't know what love is, so they are ALL fantasizing about what ITS LIKE to be in love, this adds on to the idea of youth and naivety that is so common within young love!

I think all the different and even inappropriate movies were just becuase they had love. Some is romantic, platonic, sexual, self love, etc. The girls in the video are trying to find out what love is from movies and each of them have a different belief which is why they switch channels so much. Or at least thats what I got from the MV.
Jenna Walkinshaw defining every kind of love that's in those movies it's what makes it so deep and interesting. ... To bad none fans don't get that and think the songs are shallow 😧😧😧

edit: also i think that form of therapy is actually a great reactor person thingy because he actually gives proper opinions and knows their names and everything, he doesn't only discuss the song along with that, he also talks about the cinematography and goes into details and its amazing to see that. unlike other people who react to it because to get on the bandwagon to get views? he knows the name, he gives the actual reviews and meanings he sees behind the songs instead of people just screaming HOLY SHIT OH MY GOD ITS SO GOOD after hearing like 30 seconds of the song (well to be fair I think most Kpop stand and stuff actually are like that).

I'm so glad you understood all the movie references (except for jihyo's part). I've been watching all the other reactions but I've been disappointed with all of them because most of them only recognised lalaland and/or a few others; also, you talk after the videos giving more in-depth feedback as opposed to just saying, "oh, I enjoyed that, so cute, so catchy." Definitely solidified my opinion as one of my fav k reactors out there.
There are some reactors that got all except Love Letter and La Boum, but PD's the only one to get La Boum that I've seen.

i really agree with you on twice's work being more earnest than most groups. they really get into what they're saying and it kinda feels like you've been taken on a journey by the end of the song. so many groups forget that genuineness is the key to capture an audience.

P.s. I’m not the biggest fan of heart shaker however I love this song and I loved the video.
Also the love interest thing reminds of BTS in a way. They don’t have many girls in there MV’s after like the first era. Instead they hint at things and just refuse to use a girl [I.e Blood sweat and tears]. A lot of people were like Jin kind of kissed V lol and if you see them perform live they add the part in sometimes it’s interesting imo and the fans ships sail far far away lol.

That was quite fast! I liked the song, but the rap could have been a little better i think.
Their rap and vocal game this comeback is really strong. Ho! best vocals, Sweet Talker best rap and Dejavu is such great production.
Nate Ortañez I have to admit that I've just heard some songs from twice and I can't really compare their songs. But I felt like their flow in this song was a bit monotonous (compared to likey for example).

What is love kinda reminds me of knock knock. They both kinda sound vaguely reminiscent or longing, but still upbeat. Knock knock is one of my favorite twice releases, so I hope I love this as much. I already really like it
