Unfortunately Canada penalizes those who work very hard. In BC, I paid 38000 on income tax plus ei and cpp. Also because our household income is over 200k, we don't qualify for child bebefit and even electric vehicle incentive lol.. On top.of that the city wants almost $10,000 property tax every year.

I live in BC as well, learning about taxes really puts things into perspective. I’m realizing u could be fully educated .. reserving yourself a great position in your career and have that cut in half to pay for government programs ? Like welfare ? Gst? Cleaning up homeless? Because we know that the government isn’t cleaning up our mess here in Vancouver. And there isn’t enough focus on programs for young people so they can do more productive positive things building more of community staying out of trouble. I m not trying to pretend I know everything about our politics, and I would like to apologize if I’m being rude but I’m in shock about this. It’s thievery. It doesn’t make sense to me! Oh yea… but we support ppl killing them self, supply hard drugs and utensils to inject our communities. And we steal ppl hard working money. And keep housing unaffordable. What is this !!! 😢

For valid Income Tax at the federal level the Governor General mus FIRST authorize a tax/impost/etc. per s. 54 of the British North America Bill 1867 ... absent s. 54 means NO tax law. The Income War Tax Act 1917 expired May 9th., 1921 ... has not been a valid tax law since! The "government" of Cana'anada is actually an Interlope by the Imperial Parliament ... on the Indian Reserve ...

Unfortunately, we pay very high taxes here in Canada but our tax dollars provide free healthcare, free library services and other benefits. Keep up the great work 👍

Hey, yeah I agree. The tax is high but a lot of it is spent on services for the public. So it doesn't feel that bad.

The problem with our healthcare system is it takes to long to get our life saving surgery’s or get a proper diagnosis because there in a rush. I’d rather pay insurance with ends up being cheaper for the citizen and creates an open market for the medical industry here. There’s a lot wrong with our system here and I hope we start to fix it. We don’t incentivize working hard here, I work 14 hour day for 3 weeks and 1 week off. The tax’s I pay make me sick. I see people of welfare and their house payed for by the government with a baby bonus. They’d lose those benefits if they worked so they just stay living off the system. Drives me but but can’t blame them if they take advantage of the situation our governments created.

Healthcare system over crowded due to corrupt doctors who refers patients for unnecessary diagnosis to each other for their professional benefits which end piles up system so ppl who really need medical attention has to suffer.
