- Caravan Salon is the largest Motorhome and Caravan trade show in the world, each year the World’s largest recreational vehicle manufacturers preview and launch their latest models.
We set ourselves the task of finding the best family motorhome available at the show, with many manufacturers failing to cater for 5 berths with 5 travelling seats, we found some interesting models for sale, but are any of them better than our current motorhome, our Swift Kon-tiki 874?

Our family have been roaming around the UK, Europe and US since 2007. We set off on each trip with only a rough destination in mind, allowing the roads we take and places we stop to evolve as we meet new friends along the way.
If you have found us and enjoy our stories or have tips and recommendations then please get in touch as we'd love to hear from you.

Thank you so much! Cant wait to host you guys in America!
I enjoyed watching the Video. Walking around for hours will certainly hurt your feet 😊
We went a few years ago in our KonTiki and spent three fabulous days there. We didn;t mean to do it but while we were there we bought a Frankia tag axle and had it imported into the UK. Great van. thanks for the usual superb content and greetings from our home here in Southern France.
I'm thinking you guys could
Do a wine review considering we always see a glass in hand in most videos 😁😄😄😄
Great vlog again guys!.. But just one complaint; we didn’t get to see how much stuff George collected! 😀😜
A great video, thank you.
We all spend a fortune on our m/homes which as a chassis are designed to gross occasionally at 3.5 tonnes. I was fed up of the suspension banging on every pot hole, the terrible ride, crap road holding. So after some months of convincing myself to spend £8k on full air I took the plunge. What a game changer. Brilliant ride, self level on park up (as much as the air bags allow), raise front or rear, lower the rear and tilt for emptying tanks. Now when boarding a ferry in our Adria sonic I just push a button and don’t worry about grounding. My advice would be to go for the full air suspension, front and rear, not just the rear air on its own. It costs a lot of money but a complete game changer.
Great video. FYI the dreamseeker van near where you parked is British! Made by the Fifth Wheel Company
I imagine you were quite tired after going through that huge show! Saw you on Matt's RV Reviews and had to subscribe 😁
Thank you, still dreaming of what one,I have two big Bernese mountain dogs so will need plenty of room.
Great video of the new motorhomes that are available wow the prices are expensive not surprised really as everything has gone
Kabe is north Europe so well insulated, fents are fab van
5&5 setup is the exact one I’m looking for! I’ll keep on searching. 😢
Wonderful review on the new models. You both do an amazing job of presentation--as always!!!
Extremely interesting and well filmed. 👍💙❤️
Thank you xx
Excellent as usual.
Good vlog. Dusseldorf is good if you are interested in seeing motorhomes or caravans but for accessories and bits and pieces (eg. silver screens, reversing cameras, wing mirror protectors etc) the NEC far outstrips Dusseldorf. Secondly, please remember that European spec vans are different to those of the UK.
Brilliant reviews but I'd need a miracle too afford these vehicles
Air bags are excellent at raising the rear and stop the grounding of my towbar and add very little extra weight . With 8 inch lift they are the best and controlled by compressor under driver's seat and controlled from cab they have made a huge difference and more stable cornering .
Kabe is Swedish. Excellent insulation for winter living.
Ahhh!
New vans are always outside of my price range, but I like seeing (stealing) the good ideas they come up with. No dish on our van and we even cut the dish and aerial at home, using catch-up only.
You guys should Import a Schoolie and have it built to your exact Spec. You could have your own bedroom at the back and the boys could have big bunk pods at the front. Then a huge living area in the middle. I know you love your motor homes, the space for the boys as they get older though would be immense 😊
What I'm surprised about. I hear the EU are very particular on safety aspects and paperwork. But I see at the motorhome pop up sites the vans are very close together. In the UK there has to be a certain amount of space between vans.
Brilliant as usually keep the good work up 🇬🇧
wow u guys so cool again,im in emails to get a 5th wheel so wished u did a look around on them 🙁but again it was awesome to see all that and dream on lol😂
Whilst I'm on the other side of the world (NZ)....it was very interesting to see the various models of MHs and caravans. A £1M motorhome?!! My gawd....you'd be too scared to take it on the road.....and imagine the insurance premiums!!!
❤ your comment about the Dutch. But finding a motorhome where my tall hubby has space to stand up and sleep is not easy. And I want a face 2 face seating area, decent kitchen and separate toilet / shower. So far only Laika and Dethleffs can deliver within a price range we like (Dutch hey). So just like your specific needs, it is not always easy to find your favourite 🚐.
Great vlog again guys, Dusseldorf is definitely on our radar at some point. Would love to hear your views on the Rimor Evo 77 plus which is the van we have just bought. Its a 5 berth 5 seat van too.
the nec show is a long day so i cant imagine how long this show will be
They seems to be restrictions for large motorhomes on sites. How do you get round this, I mean you have a large motorhome. Do you come across this much? You see I’m looking at going round the UK 🇬🇧 first while I get a new passport and upgrade my license to a C1. I’m looking forward to it, I just don’t know which motorhome yet 💋
It would be great to see text when you are introducing each motorhome to say what it is. It was difficult to follow and had to give up. Thanks!
Noted!
Fantastic guys u must be shattered. ❤😊
Love your videos very good information on try to pick my future motorhome but have you try coachman or benimar motorhome
What type of motorhome do you have , I enjoyed your video.
Ours is a Swift Kon-tiki 874!
Great videos guys keep them up 😊
Great vlog once again 👍 any chance you could look at the new Wildax Altair on the man van, it’s electric only no gas! Many thanks 🙏
I think your motorhome gives a lot of these big money rigs a good run for their money… how long do you keep your home for? Just wondering what value you will get from the suspension you choose?
How did you get a press pass?
Only have a you tube channel like lots of people
We applied for accreditation on their website as we usually do. They look at the kind of exposure they will get from the videos we produce of their show and issue a press pass accordingly, simple.
Noticed plenty of Ford Chassied RVs at Don Amott a few days ago, reflects the Fiat shortages.
Fendt is a tractor manufacturer isn’t it?
Yes it is James, but they also manufacture leisure vehicles too
Guys I need your answer, I am interested in Food Trucks for open a restaurant. I didnt see any area dedicated for Food truck. Can you help us, is it worth to travel from another country for just for this case. tHanks a lot
I’m sorry I can’t help, I have no idea 🤷🏼♀️
I couldn’t catch the name of the 6- berth RV that had a rear bath….what company were you recommending for an even better set up?
I have no idea Les, we covered a lot of motorhomes in this video, give me something more to go on maybe the times stamps?
@@RoamingRadfords sorry, I was able to listen to the video a few times and it was Weinsberg you were discussing. Great info. My son is 6’8 and needs a rear bath for space so my ears perked up when you mentioned rear bath. Thank you!
It all looks lovely and theres some greats things and inventions but alas this day and age with everything going on in the world , i think most of your subscribers couldnt afford most of what you show, but its always nice to look and dream.
We have a touring caravan and to save using an expensive car( which weve now sold) we decided to put it on a seasonal pitch for a year at a time , and if we want to move it we can hire something that will tow it, rather than having to tax and insure and putting fuel in every 5 minutes
Nice vlog but completely out of our league
Amazing show, it's so frustrating that I never invested in BITCOiN lol. The lottery is my only chance.
I have hyper mobile joints, people think being bendy is a positive, how mistaken they are 😢
I’m lucky, that mine are mostly ok as long as I’m careful. I do have friends that really suffer all the time.
Not bothered about 6 metres apart there then!!
Great blog but sadly way out of our league unless of course if we win the lottery.
Firestick
