@@darkshadow1639 Ourple Guy V3 for sure. Idk I like most of the songs for that mod a lot more than this mod. They both have great songs but I just like the Ourple Guy mod for it's not seriously vibes.
The Luigi that looks depressed is Beta Luigi, it's an ending where Luigi was too scared to enter the mansion, then became depressed over the death of his brother, and the painting with Mario in it is merely an illusion of Beta Luigi's depression.

Just to let you know, if boyfriend wouldn't have ran he would have won. He misinterpreted what was happening with peach and Yoshi. They had some freewill and sabotaged evil M so he killed them.
If he did win, then he'd have to leave GF with M. And we all know that BF would never ditch her to save his skin and visa versa.

the Mario in "last course" is named turmoil and basically what happened is he came across a weird mushroom and curiously ate it, not knowing it had yoshis code in it, making this mario turn into a blind predator who attacks anything that moves and eats the scraps he leaves. he probably wants to go after Bowser next,but thats unclear.
edit: turmoil only wants to eat people who wronged him, like Bowser and his minions, he wouldn't attack Luigi or the mushroom kingdom residents

I know this part 1/part 2 is a few weeks old, but they put a little lore (including source names) on pause screens, so I'm just going to write up fun facts as I watch
For the first two songs: This is one of the few times DeviantArt user Shadow-Shana has been actually *credited* for that image she made, based on Mario's losing quote from Double Dash - "Mario will get you next time!" She did a similar image of Peach for a contest later, but with the title Lovely Princess instead of any out-of-context quote.
For So Cool, the funniest thing I've ever seen in the 'stream chat' is "is that your gf in the bg? shes hot" followed by another user immediately going "is that your gf in the bg? shes ugly"
For Nourishing Blood, the very creepypasta title for a very not-creepypasta source material is a bit of a deep cut (no pun intended) - instead of any Vinesauce or Flintstones or other memes that run alongside 7 GRAND DAD, it's an actual reference to a very scuffed translation on the bootleg's cartridge, which referred to a life-restoring cheat as "PRESS ↑ START BUTTON. GET ADDITION GAME. AND NOURISH THE BLOOD"
For Mario Sing and Game Rythm 9, befitting his nature as a Mario skin on a Sonic port, all of Somari's poses are classic Sonic poses. The finger-wag, the Sonic Adventure 2 pose, etc. And of course, the ring-based mechanics of the chart can be brutal!
For Alone, the Mario ghost/hallucination/memory has lyrics that are real hard to hear past the gameplay - not the only time that happens in Woodland of Lies. Luigi hears the brother he was too scared to save calling out to him, "Luigi, where did you go? I'm stranded, lost and alone... Luigi, where did you go?" and he whimpers, "Oh, Mario..."
For Thalassophobia... well, it's one of the few ones not really based on a single story, but a lot of community horror-theorizing about the way Luigi being made unplayable and inaccessible might manifest from the point-of-view of the game characters. His data really is in the game somewhere, as discovered during the Giga-Leak. Also, three whole songs about Luigi in the water, endlessly suffering, sure is something - Alone, this one, and one later on.
For Oh God No, Luigi has been so secretive about his plans and so bottled up about the feelings he's releasing now that Mario has never realized that Luigi's anything other than family - as he's trying to talk down Luigi (right after the Peach thoughts), he can barely be heard behind the gameplay insisting, "Because you're my brother..." to which Luigi insists, "You're no longer my brother!" - bold words from the one that *started* the whole thing.
For I Hate You... Heck, shouts out to slimebeast for his very fun style of creepypasta writing. He's done two Super Mario trollpastas, and both of them prod some fun at creepypastas while still being subtle enough that I Hate You legit spooked some people, which inspired executables and romhacks which in turn inspired this track (and the previous).
For Apparition, the Wario Head apparition overall comes from a Spaceworld (basically the Nintendo Directs of the 90's) presentation, where they projected a Wario model and had Charles Martinet just riff for a while, the high-end motion capture of the time keeping Wario roughly in sync. The background was the wavy blue entrance to Dire Dire Docks, so it got Mandela Effected into some people's heads (or just had creepypasta written about it) where it manifested in the castle and chased the player. Plenty of Wario horror-adjacent quotes are just out-of-context lines from here, such as the one that plays in this track!
For Last Course, the creator actually redesigned Turmoil some point after he was finalized for this mod - instead of looking like the in-game SMW small Mario with giant vacuous eyes and an up-to-forehead devious grin, he looks more on-model to official art with dilated eyes and an up-to-forehead devious grin, with the addition of a "glitched tile" that just so happens to show through his lips/skin to see his musculature and teeth on one side of his mouth. The fact that Turmoil is dead-set on *not* going after human flesh is the reason Boyfriend is a galoomba in this track! I like to think that he's Turmoil specifically because of the ethical problems of "he's a monster, and Mario's mind is almost entirely gone, but he only does these atrocities to the bad guys so how should we respond to this"
For Dark Forest... Honestly, the original horror romhack is so vague and mysterious that you already know like 80% of what anyone else does. The current theory is that Mario and Peach ran away together, offended and/or empowered some sort of evil woodland creature (The God of the Forest) by collecting lumber for a house, Peach died by drowning and/or ritualistic sacrifice, and now the God of the Forest uses her body as a puppet as it torments Mario. Like in I Hate You, Mario's past "plays" before the current player picked up are bloodily present as corpses. The voice line referring to itself as King of the Forest instead not only adds in the detail that the word is used repeatedly in one of the endings and the entity is referred to as "He" by other snippets of text, but also alludes to the fact that there's someone *else* in this mod that considers himself the god of this world and doesn't want anyone beneath to blaspheme against him...
For Bad Day, the setting is a pretty direct recreation of a home office in Super Bad Mario, in that one clip where a cat failing to make a leap is explained by Super Bad Mario bouncing off of it to reach a coin just as the cat was taking off! The original was only two vids so make sure to spend a few minutes to watch them, although plenty of people have expanded the concept. Also, I guess I'm just the right age to have seen that SMW sprite animation of Mario doing a little dance *so* often. Feels like every Newgrounds funny Mario animation slotted it in.
For Day Out, it's actually charted properly in swing time! I imagine Edgy Teen(+20 more years) Mario would hate that he's not one of the characters to get metal, instead getting this jaunty rag. Very creative to just slot BF and GF over Walu and Daisy.
For Dictator, while Massacre's Secret Histories track sets it in an office with Secret Histories Luigi being a space-to-dodge gimmick, this track takes the place of the Sonic execution, where Luigi was theoretically present but was only seen in a sweeping overview before the scene itself started, somehow dodging the "camera" throughout the entire conversation between Mario and Sonic.
For Race Traitors, Mario's voice was just canon Mario screams in V1, but now properly samples the animation. Also, funny enough the item usage is a little *more* true to Mario Kart than Mario's more creative (and violent) uses of them in Racist Mario!
For No Hope... I really like how they go with the tragic ending of a possession-based, high octane action NG animation to end off the more lighthearted Content Cosmos and get you ready for the utter emotional browbeating that you're going to get from then on. Devil Mario fits the description of "classic fan animation where Mario's the bad guy" like the other four, but both in the source material and in the mod specifically he's definitely not played for any laughs - he's a vessel for evil that wants to cut your head off.
The mario madness v2 was a awesome and badass mod bro it's still a banger with all these songs
