Oh no i only discovered this channel last week and was looking at older videos and commenting positively with great admiration. Now i realise he has passed on - and so deeply sorry for the loss.
Mi sono accorto che da un po' di tempo non mi arrivavano più notifiche dal bellissimo sito del Maestro Torrisi. Sono così venuto a vedere e ho scoperto - in ritardo - la tristissima notizia della sua scomparsa. Era veramente un grandissimo musicista e una persona straordinaria, di grandissima sensibilità e gentilezza. Non lo conoscevo personalmente, ma avevamo una piccola corrispondenza tramite i messaggi di RUclips. Riposi in pace. Condoglianze alla famiglia.
La famiglia di Giuseppe ringrazia. Abbiamo dato vita ad un'associazione per continuare la divulgazione della sua musica e dei suoi arrangiamenti 🙂

@@Alerak He died of a brain aneurysm, according to a facebook post his family made. This was in late January or early February I believe.
Rest in peace, good man. I had a couple of email exchanges with him after I had purchased some of this tabs. It upsets me that he can't know now how much of an impact he's had on us all.
I'm an Iranian guitarist and I was deeply saddened when I heard of his passing. I've been practicing his arrangement of "la donna e mobile" and hopefully will upload a video of it soon. Thank you for the inspiration, you will be missed :'(

I just came across this channel and was about to email Giuseppe just to let him know that his version of Doyle's Who Is She is one of my favorite pieces and to hear him play it on the guitar is so beautiful. Beyond saddened to hear that he has passed. My condolences to his family. I just discovered him and he now has a place in my heart. His talent will never be forgotten.

I just heard that he passed away, this is terrible news. When I started to play Guitar for the first time I have bought over 20 tabs from him and he was such a great person and extremely nice Everytime we emailed each other. This breaks my heart truly. Rest In Peace.

I felt the worst when I saw this was 6 months ago. I improved my guitar skills greatly with the help of his videos and the impact he and his playing have had on my motivation on guitar have been immesurable. There's something to say to this song being out of all the last posted here, rest in peace

I just understood that Giuseppe has passed away. I had wondered about not receiving any mails from him lately. I will miss him and his wonderful arrangements. Thank you to his children for preserving and passing on his legacy. It would be nice if you would continue to offer his tabs.

I’m from China and have followed Maestro Torrisi for years. Because of our country’s network policy, I don’t visit RUclips often. I’m on vacation in Italy and I’m right in Catania now!
